- US President Joe Biden pledged "full support" for Ukraine as he welcomed NATO* member states to a Washington summit on July 9. During his welcoming remarks, Biden also announced the US and its allies will deliver to Ukraine five additional air defence systems. These air defence systems will also include Patriot missile batteries and Patriot components, the US and other allies said in a joint statement. Biden also stressed that "today NATO is stronger than it's ever been in its history.” Meanwhile, the White House said that India's relationship with Russia gives it the ability to urge President Vladimir Putin to end its war with Ukraine. @@robertscott961 Russia never invaded Crimea. Crimea seceded peacefully from Ukraine and then joined Russian Federation. No fighting to speak of happened. Ukraine is attacking Crimea now, and Russia is defending itself from that. Russia has the right to defend itself.
