I felt like that trick was more accidental compared to the other tricks that actually showed multiple attempts. And then they show you the actual trick he was going for in the end of that scene. At least that was my take. none the less dope ass trick and part for sureee. That fakie bigspin manual back bigsping out was my personal fav
@@sptr3782 You're probably right 'bout the trick bein' accidental. My guess is that he kinda got the Caballerial scoop/rotation still goin' on, as he landed (the attended trick) Fakie, and Reverted 'cause of that. 🤔 Or sumthin' like that... 😏 But yeah, good point.
It might look kinda odd, but he scoops it a lil' different than most ppl nowadays. Like the board is under him most of the time. Ppl nowadays tend to flick, and/or scoop it the way that the board's mainly under one's front foot in the air, and then they catch it fully. Idk if I'm makin' any sense, but anyhow... 😄✌️
I actually learned to, and Tre Flip the same way. But wouldn't necessarily dumb down sumone for doin' it like (for instance) Sewa Kroetkow, or Aurelien Giraud...
I am getting Josh Kalis vibes and I like it. Original skating though. Just reminds me of him a bit overall (clothes and shoes play a big part I think).
I’m so glad the baggy steez with the chunky shoes are back reminds of the old days!
It’s certainly back for this dude anyway!
I always enjoy rough cuts. They really shows the blood sweat and tears it took to make a part the way it is.
That's a lot of board control for a man with such massive cargo sneakers
8:03 that was one of the most steeziest tricks i’ve ever seen.
The Cab BS Nose Bluntslide 270° Out was cray-zee. 😯
To wild
Yeah, looks like a recording from a Skate game.

Cargo Sneaker was legit one of the best skate videos/parts released last year.
i see a Chicago spot in the thumbnail, i click. it's that simple
Those spots are really hard to skate.
@@nobodysreview6137 i know 😰
SAME Lol
11:40 might be the sketchiest spot but this dude still killed it
That gap wallride on the Ave is forever legendary
Man there was some grimy spots in here.
What a part, tricks were amazing this dude style is so versatile
He's got a nice Colt Cannon/Chet Thomas style goin on.

@@pluecherry7 wuh
Colt cannon. That's a name I haven't heard in years upon years, forgot that guy even existed.
he's not anything like either of those skaters lol
@@HeatedMindset My first 5 years of skating (1997 - 2002) were most impressionable. I still have a bunch of 411VM locked in my head lol
I really appreciate his love for nollie back 180s, best warm up trick.
I'm a fan of John Shanahan's style🙌🏼
Absolutely amazing...
Much love from Switzerland
John does his shit so proper, and the man Brian panebianco capturing these moments, perfection.

Pretty crazy to see that Jedi use the Force to help John land it.
05:36 beautiful, just beautiful.
That was a hella nice angle of the Pop Shove-It Crooked Fakie @ 3:50 mins. 👌
I agree🕺
Such wierd but perfect tre flips

That's what a proper tre flip is supposed to look like

@@a.s.konttinen Sewa recently changed his tre flips
@@joshuadansby2874 Good point! Lol. 😏 Actually watched the vid from him doin' it, too. 😄
That lightsaber has power
this didn’t feel like a rough cut haha
He lands everything all the time
😏 'Rough cut: John Shanahan' = Dude lands 75% of the tricks 1st try.
Just what I was thinking lol. Man rips!
That was such a great video
Such an amazing part
John killing it
Need that Verso rough cut now...
That man walked up on John and buddy didn't move an inch👏👊
As someone who rides an 8.25 and thin vulc shoes, this guy’s board control is unbelievable in such a skinny board and big shoes
5:36 pretty much sums up this video.
UNIQUE TRICK LINE. 4:03 Fakie varial kick then a fakie varial heel!!
Bigspin manual bigspin soooo buttery.
I’d watch hours of raw footy from him, Jahmir and Bilyeu
We need bilyeu shanhan and jahbulb to drop a part together🙌🙌
Grind the power box! Awesome!
Massive flex is skating those $500 double T’s 💵💵

5:54 one of the cleanest catches I've seen
Liked it after the first trick. Sick.👍
