- Meet Sam, Hilly, Lucy, Lewis and Megan, 5 friends with intellectual disabilities who share a house in Brighton. Now aged between 19-23 they have been friends since childhood and together share the ups and downs of each other's lives.
Episode 1, Season 1: Ladies man Sam is looking for love at the local karaoke night, meanwhile Lewis' girlfriend, Megan, moves into “The Specials” home & becomes their fifth housemate.

This is amazing! really helps humanise DS people as real adults and not stuck with the perception of perpetual children. very cool.
My special is 20 months old, she is a living angel! Her capacity to love and show empathy is beyond understanding!

yeah i had to watch the full episode... and i disabled my adblock for it, not because you hearthed my comment 2 minutes ago haha ^^ but my eyes are still wet from the clip i saw and sam is just the sweetest young man ever... and your channel is underrated when you compare with american show that prefer to show the kardashians or whatever and make thoses people famous and rich for doing nothing, when you have such pure souls overseas that just want a simple life and you just bring them joy with simple things.. can't describe that feeling, it just need more awareness...

This show is really powerful in showing how people who have disability’s can live a regular life. This means a lot to me because I have ADHD and it can show me if having a disability still means that I can have a regular life

I was thinking the same thing! I wish their show was still on. But you can see the parallels in these shows and personalities. I live in California and I love shows that are about “different” people just trying to live amongst the “average” people. It can be really interesting and informative.
