Edgar Buchanan, Michael Landon, and Leonard Nimoy. Wow. Who knew these shows even existed. Thanks Bob for allowing us to see these rare gems.
Super fun, this episode! To find Mr. Spock and Little Joe in an episode together when both were just starting out! Thanks Bob.
oh, and thank you bob, starts with a b ends with a b, for such good times. you are a gem.
that boston kid, for real, has a hell of a solid haymaker. super solid.
Absolutely love it! Too fun☺
What an incredible array of great actors! This was great fun to see them young and in a good show. Sure, it's not perfect script writing. But it's better than anything arou d these days that is new. And by 'these days' i mean post 1970! Thanks very much for the upload!🙏
Wow what a cast!
Thank you Bob Terry! You have done a wonderful job! Blessings!
Thanks Bob for uploading this episode.
I was 1 year old when this came out.
God bless Bob Terry!
Great one, Bob, Thank you.
EDGAR BUCHANAN, ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING CHARACTER ACRORS IN HOLLYWOOD, LEE VAN CLEEF WHO BECAME FAMOUS DOING SPAGHETTI WESTERNS AND THE GREAT MICHAEL LANDON.
Dang good movie
this is up there with bullwhip griffin, a disney movie i loved as a kid, and shane, another phenomenal blockbuster in my book, mice and men, a bit off the dusty trail, but just the same and a plethora of other solid state good stuff, oh, and did i mention, of course i didn't, old yella, the dog, man did i cry.
Edgar Buchanan was a great character actor playing doctors, drunks and other characters in dozens and dozens films and TV shows including Uncle Joe on Petticoat Junction. Michael Landon went on to star in THREE different successful TV series which must be a record. Dabbs Greer played the minister on Little House on the Prairie and was in over 500 episodes of various TV shows. Leonard Nimoy of course Rose to world stardom as Mr. Spock. Lee Van Cleef had over 200 roles in films and TV shows including staring roles many Italian Westerns later in his career so this is indeed a cast of great acting ability. And I forgot to mention Jim.
@BuckGreywolfe then he should have played doc holliday
The names alone gave me goose bumps all over.
Thank you, excellent cast. Too bad it was'nt made into a series.
I think this was the first time Landon appeared on TV. Only 18 years old.
That was really cool, thank you for sharing!
Thank you, thank you... Your old westerns are fabulous... The talent in this one alone was remarkable... I am so glad you post to RUclips so that I could enjoy what I never had the chance to see .. AGAIN.. THANK YOU
I love the fact you have to connect with your kids
I ENJOY SEEIN THESE GUYS, BEFORE THEY ERE REALLY WELL KNOWN
omg. johnny dark! one of the best of the baddies. love this, not to mention, little joe, and spock and who's it what's it, from petticoat junction? this is fantastic. can't remember his name. happens when i smoke a bit much. i'll remember soon enough. maybe it was uncle joe from pettticoat junction. hell of a fine actor. i find this movie to be amazing all the things i love. old school rocks.
so fascinating. beautiful lovely movie. ma ma ma, i'm so happy. i'm gonna join a band. we gonna have a big old celebration. in the promised land. off the dusty trail, i know, but i'm so full of emotion right now. this movie hit me in the gut.
So this show never made it to the small screen...
Heck of a lot better show than a multitude of shows that did!
BuckGreywolfe yes. But his point is that it's "made for" but never "made it to". It's an unused, unaired pilot for a series that was never greenlit.
I'd much prefer this to become a series that the one the Edgar got the following year, Judge Roy Bean. Just can't get into that one. But this was great! I love all ZIV shows!
Fabulous seeing Michael Landon in this
Thanks for watching
What a mistake they made by not bringing this on further . What a great premise. Great Characters-
I don't know where you find them, but keep 'em comin'!
Hey, it's Eugene Maurice Orowitz!
Mr. "Prizefighter" should have stayed and married the school teacher☺. Yeah Baby
little known fact, if you used betting slips instead of actual money, it wasn't classed as gambling. a loophole in the law
He would have made a great Ed Norton.
That fight scene was hilarious chickens squawking pigs oinking crowd going on and it was good stuff who didn't like Edward Buchanan most of the rest of them ,you know,
The actor that played the last fighter, I saw him in the rebel a few times after that don't know,
Thanks Bob ,
Very good western! Whatever happened to Carleton Carpenter? I never heard, saw him before? Thank you for showing this Mr.Terry!
Should have used the Vulcan nerve grip or the mind meld.
Buchanan was a real life dentist
Not a bad
funny
howdy Tex Terry, any chance you can find the old boots and saddles; and second half of 26 men episodes; and start your own western channel on like get or me or grit tv
In this episode his name would be little jerk Cartwright
A 24 year old Leonard Nimoy & an 18/19 year old Michael Landon together - 5 years before they’d reunited in BONANZA’s The Ape .
lee van cleef, is supposed to be the bad guy. not buchanan who actually is in this series
They should hav left this seriese in the 'Dog House' wher ot belongs..🤗
You need to learn to spell.
Yeah, and learn to have better taste in good forsaken westerns too 😠
Lee VanCleef.
One of the originals greats.
Unfortunately he was a mean drunk, womanizer and a heathen narccestic monster.
No, actually he wasn't. I've done extensive research on him and his career and learned that no one, not a co-star, ex-wife (there were 2) or children (4) will say much, and none of it negative. When he did drink to excess, which he had a bad problem with after the car accident that nearly ended his life and career in 1959, he not a mean drunk. He was certainly not a monster. His on set mates report he was generous with his time and Sergio Leoni said he never forgot and always gave him the credit for rescuing and reviving his career after 1959. He said that every he had was down to Sergio and he maintained that until the day he died.
