There are likely still people in Syngorn who think that Vox Machina, saviors of Tal'Dorei and destroyers of gods, are furries in a poly relationship. And that's hilarious.

I REEEEEEEEALLY hope they keep The Legend of Vox Machina running to the point we get to see this entire scene animated and acted out.
Some of the ancient records about them are certainly going to be... Interesting.
I mean, Grog was the only character that didn't end up in a romantic relationship with another member of the party at some point, so they weren't too far off 🙃
I mean, who's to say we aren't viewing it from a historian's perspective? Maybe the rumors were true
I find it fucking hilarious how Scanlan is the one who proposes the idea that Vox Machina is just a polyamorus gang and everyone just went with in full.

Marisha is such an underrated comedian. I'm so glad she's getting to be more comedic as Laudna this campaign.
Yeah, it just is super perfect how Marisha did all that, and also how she had basically fucked with the guards from Syngorn with her going into a goose later on in addition to having turned Percy and Vax into squirrels XD
Keyleth being wise as fuck by not knowing what's going on, Beau being simultaneously the most well adjusted and least well adjusted member of the nine and Laudna's unmitigated excitement at all things creepy. All good reasons to believe that Marisha Ray is a fantastic DnD player. That and she takes outstanding notes.

@@Pluto137 I don't think she could twin spell, she could wildshape herself and still hold a polymorph on someone else because they are two spells and wildshape isn't concentration.
Context aside: I like that last shot of Grog headlocking Vax and saying "I'm gonna kill you later." The sibling energy is strong.
I love when NPC’s look like Matt. It’s just satisfying
It’s even better in the tv show, where they have a recurring Matt Mercer elf character who gets humiliated and/or killed in every appearance. Like a mix of South Park’s Kenny and Avatar’s Cabbage Man.
@@Ajehy It is also kind of funny that Artagan (a godsdamned Archfey) is also modelled after Matthew Mercer. Which could imply that he's been watching the whole time and that his preferred form is that of a slightly less Fey-looking Elven twink version of himself. Which honestly, if I could choose my own physical form . . . fair enough.

"PLEASE! GO! SLEEP!!" - I laughed at how Matt had the guard shout that to Scanlan, especially after the silliness with Keyleth turning Percy and Vax into squirrels, and then later on, when she does the goose thing! XD

This is the episode that is also known by "When Vox Machina doesn't give a crap about a city and goes 100% chaotic."

@@ANullAssault Since no one else actually wants to answer you and instead wants you to watch a program thats hundreds if not thousands of hours long, Garmelie is actually Artagan, a minor deity from the Feywild known as The Traveler. He's basically a god just fuckin around with humans for his own amusement
Of course Keyleth was the one to crank it up to a whole different level of weird. A half elven goth assassin domming an 8ft tall goliath barbarian? Par for the course. That happening while the antler crowned druid is turning people into animals?... That's Vox Machina for you I guess :D

I love how the players take it so far like they're gonna derail the session and Mercer, with an NPC, kicks it up a notch. What a professional.

This was hilarious to watch, I've never watched the actual campaign but after watching the Amazon show and these animatics, I know I'm missing out lol should definitely watch it now
The Animated series is Genuinely Awesome but the Campaigns are even better. Much more detail, subtlety, and room to explore concepts. Its the eternal Book Vs Movie debate, even the best adaptations cut great things out. and it's 4 + hours into 20 minutes lol.
Honestly, I feel like campaign 1 has even more animate-worthy scenes than campaign 2 or 3 and am so glad to see it getting some love. You definitely should watch campaign 1
I would suggest skipping the first 27 episodes, maybe just read the summary and pick up at the Briarwood Arc that starts around 24 if I remember it correctly. So start with 28, read the summary for at least 24 to 27 and then have fun. There is a really... Let's say problematic person in the first 27 episodes who got kicked out and never mentioned again for a good reason and honestly you're not missing out too much the craighammer arc is... Okay. If you're interested in more Guillermo, Allura and Lady Kima backstory then watch it, but for anything else meh. Just read the summary

Also I wouldn't skip 27 episodes just because of Orion, the Briarwood arc starts episode 24 If you absolutely must skip the first, admittedly rougher arc in order to get into the show, he really drags one particular episode out very annoyingly then you never see him again. I think he's gone by ep 28. But you shouldn't skip the set up for the Briarwood arc, no matter how annoying Orion is lol.
You'll miss all of Percy's first backstory elements and how the initial confrontation _Actually_ goes because it's different than the animation. Percy's rage is much colder and more calculated in the campaign initially and it's an interesting change. There are real differences both large and subtle and people should NOT rely on the animation when watching the Campaign. It's great but it's not the same.
Also Episode 26 "Consequences and Cows" is a classic! Telling people to skip that is steering them wrong. The amount of inside jokes made from the events of this episode alone makes it worth it.
And you miss a lot of lore and worldbuilding and NPC interactions and fun shenanigans with the cast when you skip the first episodes so you're actually really wrong about that. I'm not saying they're not rough, they are, but there's a lot of good stuff in there.

SupergeekMike" to dice whether to watch episode 1 or skip to 27.

I know I'm late to the party here but at 3:08 , Vax's derpy/smart-ass face just makes me laugh so hard. Thanks for turning this scene into an animatic, I'll be sure to rewatch this plenty of times when I'm feeling down and need a boost of laughing.

I had one OOC ace shapeshift into a peacock to do the WAP challenge while the other OOC ace chased them and asked the rules to put a peacock into a WWE torture rack of pain (tm)...
while the rest of the party was laughing (Note, this was in response to introducing a character that my ENTIRE party of players apparently want to bang. Be a damn shame if, things happen, to said NPC).
This is the same crew that the sorc shapeshifted the barb into a dolphin and they asked me to rule on the barb holding his axe in his mouth, raging while the sorc picked him up by the tail to wield him in a barfight that came from a wildsurge...

So I started with C2 but am nearly done with that so I’ve been going through C1 to break it up. It occurs to me….that the nein is no an isolated incident of a chaotic group…it’s entirely the fault of the player! Lol. Anyway, I loved this. The animation is great and made me laugh even more than the original source!
