As I repaired the tyre, I found a sharp and quite big shard, so I'm okay with that. Now I passed the 1000km milestone too and I can really recommend these tyres. As the winter comes and I commute in every condition, I'm very curious to see if they are so good in snow and ice too. My predict is, that because of the little burls the tyres will still provide enough grip for safe driving.

First tire, got a micropuncture after a 20km ride which I assumed the sealant would seal but to no avail. It just seeped through. After inspection it was a really small rift and I would expect the sealant to do its job. Anyway, the hole was plugged with a plug kit and off I went. Reached out to the website that sold it. Got a replacement tire as they agreed that this should not happen. Got a replacement in time for a bikepacking trip and off I went again. The same thing happened on kilometer 320. A micropuncture which the sealant just seeped through. Got my plug kit but that would not hold with pressure over 15psi. Put a tube in finally but had issues with that, probably because of rubbing on the puncture as I had to make it larger with a plug which popped out repeatedly with pressure over 15psi. Now I was stranded on top of a mountain in pouring freezing rain with a storm coming. Thankfully got down but had not faith in these tires after this experience. Decided to test out my last tire with four different types of sealant. No sealant worked properly on micropunctures, not even Stans. Got refunded for the tires I sent back but will not try G-ones again as I lost all faith in them after this experience. Have to say though that while they worked, they are a superior tire, rolled better over packed gravel than badly laid tarmac and were comfy. But the reliability issue is a deal breaker for me. Now I run Race King from Continental, rolls a little bit slower but everything else is up to par with the G-ones and had zero issues with reliability.

No luck for me, 4 punctures in 3000km. First was a screw, second glass, 3rd look like a wire steel from a brush, 4 plastic debris.... I use it in the city mostly, I will definitely buy a puncture proof tire next time
I had a puncture my first ride out with these. Then another about three months later. I had Marathon Plus tires on my previous bike and never had a puncture on them.
@@magnumllama400 Cause inner tubes are the weak point of the system, good puncture resistant tires + good sealant will do a better job. Patching tire is easier than patching a tube too. Running lower pressure gives you more puncture protection too.
In your video, the tire label is exactly the same as mine -- they do not have TLE or TLR. Do you know if these are actually tubeless compatible? I'd like to go tubeless but worried that because it does not say so on the tire, that they wouldn't be tubeless compatible. Do you (or anyone here) know the answer?

I ride them since 1500 km on Snow, Mud, Trails and Road. They are excellent. On the road with 4 bar, on Gravel 2.5 - 3 bar.
I agree. First I put in 2000km on the G One speed evos, only 1 puncture. Now already a few hundred km's punctureless on the all-rounds.

Marathon plus is probably the most puncture proof of all, in fairness to the G-ones,

The knobs disappeared very fast for me... but i am a very heavy rider, so that might have to do with it. They feel great though.

There are two versions: "Tube" and "TLE" (=Tubeless Easy). If you have "Tube" they are not tubeless compatible. Sorry.

How about Schwalbe Hurricanes four an all round tyre? They are smoother in the centre, but have knobbly bits on the outside for grip in off-road.
I'm onto my 2nd pair of hurricanes, love them. It's possible that the first model of these tyres were faster, not sure, but they are a good tyre
