One thing RUclips has allowed me to learn is that Danny Joe Brown was a fucking amazing frontman with awesome stage presence, and always looked like he was having a blast. Criminally underrated.
While everything you said is true, something youtube can never explain is how much this band loved the people. They played in tiny bars across the south east. I put my wife on stage in 1993, DJB stepped to her side & the guitarist stepped right on up beside her, while I took a picture. No other band in the world would have done that. Any other band would have tossed me out on my head. I love DJB & Molly Hatchet.
This is DJBs best song from his solo band. I never get tired of hearing it. The legend is truly missed! See you on the other side Danny and keep rockin. RIP.
I had the honor of meeting Danny at a concert in Chattanooga,Tennessee.Danny was a nice man and his singing could give me chills.RIP you left this world way to SOON.😍😍😢😢😢😢
Danny Joe Brown Died To Young..53 I'll always enjoy hearing his voice until the day that I die. I turn 54 next month and I'll be listening to his music long after that, God willing..
I saw MH twice, loud as hell, but had an appreciation for Danny Joe Brown, diabetic, never well controlled(back then doc knew there were two types, not much else) but he played , sang and partied with the rest of the 70s culture. His voice is still one of a kind
I absolutely love it! Miss this music that I grew up on from the early '70's .. DJ Brown's voice is so good.. switching off lead guitars is beautiful! .. thank goodness for RUclips so I can go back to those days and smile again!
Saw the Danny Joe Brown band one night in Fort Pierce FL @ The Saint Lucie County Civic Center open for The Henry Paul Band and Nazareth WOW what a show !
John Galvin is the keyboard player. Him and Barry Rapp could pass for twins. That's Buzzy Mekins on the Bass. He was the original Bass player for the OUTLAWS!
I was Just watching MTV Saturday march 27 1982 ( vhs tape) and this video popped up , Forgot all about it 39 years ago during my Freshman Year of High School
Man I had forgot how badass this song and the whole album was gor yhst matter. DJB was the glue for MH. Hard to believe they are all gone so young. They had the Skynard curse, all the original members but one have gone on I belive. Anyway so glad this page exists, saw Molly 5 times and The DJB Band twice. Great shows and memories.

So happy there's an official channel now. The audio and video are so much better than prior uploads. Thank you for sharing this high point from Danny's solo career. I think I was 12 when I first saw this on the MTV. ✌️

Please, everyone, stop calling them underrated, Please! I have these guys high up on a pedestal. I still worship these guys. After watching them with all that long hair I have decided to never cut my hair again.
Epic! RIP Danny and all of the other Molly Hatchet fellas. Thanks to Bobby for keeping the Hatchet going (but you need 2 more guitar slingers as this video shows).
I had this album when it was new and it, along with a ton of other southern rock records, were the soundtrack of my youth and massive inspiration when I was a young guitar player.

Got to know Danny when some friends of mine lived on his place in Georgia. Was a friend,David Bush and Kenny need credit for several songs.Bush wrote lyrics to Edge of Sundown,Danny n Bush would baby sit, while me n Donna would go horseback riding
In the name of all creation, I can't imagine how the 3 could have disliked (thumbs down) this video? It is apparent that they have NO musical arts or talent!!!! But for those three, "Did you know $500 will get your head blown off? Well it will!!!!!"
Lets keep southern rock going ya’ll. Get yourself a Gibson or Fender guitar and learn them licks or just play from your southern rock heart!!! Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, Skynyrd, Blackfoot, just name a few, Southern Rock will never die!!!!

Unreplaceable, unique and brilliant. Thank God for RUclips.this music is and will always be.
Kickass song and video. Damn what a trio attack on guitars
Nice the see the Peavey VT Mace guitar amp in the back ground. A classic guitar amplifier of Southern Rock bands of the early 1980s.
I listened 2 mh's greatest hits on my motorcycle yesterday on spotify while riding it is fantastic! 👌
Just discover this today.
*THIS JUST ROCKS*
