Just going to echo what everyone is saying. It’s unanimous; Altano is awesome. I could listen to him talk about video games all day. Keep being you dude.
Brian is such a great guest - try to have him on any of the shows more often. He always has interesting takes on games/entertainment/life and has a great attitude.
I love when Brian talks about Bloodborne. His original Beyond speech was a huge inspiration to get me into the game, and it's great to hear someone else who appreciates it as much as I do.
I can top you, Greg. When I was seven and playing basketball with some kids, one of them pointed to a man going down the stairs and said "That's my dad, he's Christopher Reeves and he's Superman too!" And I saw the man dashing down the stairs and said "WHOA!!!" :)
This is one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen in a long time. Excellent chemistry. Not a dry moment in the entire show. Brian is awesome. I love this shit!
"you keep a watch on your desk? You would love clocks" Brian Altano is the only reason I still watch IGN. Please bring him on to KF content more often!
This podcast made me nostalgic about the first games I played. We're Back: A Dinosaur's Tale, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, and Mortal Kombat on my childhood friend's SNES. And then like a year later I got a Playstation with Spyro the Dragon and NASCAR 99.
Looking back I think the Game Cube is my favorite system of all time. My buddies and I laugh at the handle but that little guy was moved everywhere and it still runs like a champ 17 years later with countless hours of play.
This was such an awesome podcast. Its so cool listening to Altano, and his insight on the business, the history of games, how he and Tim got to know one another and all those stories and how they connect through very unique yet similar formative experiences through video games. New subscriber for sure! Get Tim on NVC!
I really wish Tim would stop saying “you can get it late on RUclips” I support you guys on Patreon $4/month because that’s all I can afford so on Monday when Gamescast drops I get so excited to watch but then I feel like shit when Tim says I’m watching it late. It feels like he only cares about your support if you pay $10/month. I don’t think he’s doing it intentionally but it does ruin some of my enjoyment of the show.
Obviously not a big deal or anything, but on the All-Stars version of SMB 1, Mario actually DOES go directly from fire to small mario when you get hit once just like the original!
Damn!... I think this was one of the Best Gamescast!!!! I laughed so hard, and even shed a tear! So many memories and nostalgia in this episode! Thanks guys!
I don't recall that the 1-800 number gave gameplay advice. The number to call the game play counselors was 206.885.7529, so it was a long-distance call for most people.
i may have being born in 1996 but god i loved the game boy/ playstation one era back than and growing up seeing the evolution from psone to ps2 and SD to HD was mind blowing! now every kid gets born into the ipad era and smartphones but i'm happy i got born in a time that technology came into a boom periode so i got to experience the evolution from the small nokia black and white into the first iphone! i still miss that time, gaming and technology in general really was amazing back than and it still does but with more problems now.
Top 10 list are the reason why i will be playing shadow of the colossus for the first time this year. Never even heard of the game until the launch of the ps4.
I share Tim’s viewpoint on cuphead. I beat it and it was definitely frustrating towards the end (king dice mostly) but it was so incredible I always wanted to carry on and quitting without beating it is such a disservice to yourself to miss out on all it has to offer
Gibby SG man that's how I felt about furi. There is this sniper boss that was busting my balls for hours. I came back the next day and beat it in a couple tries and felt like a legend. Then my friend played it and destroyed it with only a few deaths the whole go. My confidence may be wrecked but my love for the game hasn't dwindled
Easily one of my favorite episodes ever. And, for the record...it was only a 6 pack I crushed against my forehead....tried the 12’er and I cried, repeatedly, like a little baby. 😜
Love you Brian, but I completely disagree. He never hurt my feelings. Nothing about his personality, communication, delivery or otherwise makes me want to watch his content. He has a great narration presence though!
Whether or not you like watching Max, there's no need to be so rude. This is also clearly not the place to offer criticism on a man that will never see this.
yo this chat was amazing in every single way...but just a shout out. Sherries berries is dope. I seriously ordered some chocolate covered strawberries like 3 years ago from them, and still have the ice packs it came with in my freezer. They are crazy delicious, and we loved them. lol. this comment is absurd i know, but if you have a SO in your life...hit up some of them berries. they are crazy good..and delivered frozen and delicious.
Just going to echo what everyone is saying. It’s unanimous; Altano is awesome. I could listen to him talk about video games all day.
Keep being you dude.
Altano is consistently one of my favorite guests on anything Kinda Funny has ever done.
I love Altano so fucking much. His GOG show is still the best episode. I just wish he could come by more often
Has he done another GoG show apart from the first one when GoG first started?
I love kevin's laugh. It fills me with joy every time i hear it.
AMEN! It makes me smile without fail.
*BRAP BRAP*
Brian (and the rest of the Beyond crew) need to he on atleast once a year. These are the best shows.
Brian my brother, good to have you here. I'll see you at NVC my friend.
Brian goes hard. Easily the coolest dude in games journalism
dutchschaefer thanks to Brian’s shiny egg head I’ll never have to worry about that
dutchschaefer 😂 if that makes you uncomfortable then yes
"You would love...clocks" made me lol for real
chapelzero I laughed to hard at this haha.
Brian's a good lad, I'd buy him a whisky
Altano unleashed god damn
Normally don't comment on Kinda Funny podcast, but this one was really good. Brian seems like such a chill dude. Thanks for making this.
Please bring Brian on again. Need a drunk GoG.
Brian is such a great guest - try to have him on any of the shows more often. He always has interesting takes on games/entertainment/life and has a great attitude.
The agony of Side Quest and Gamescast coming out at the same time and trying to decide which to watch first
What is Side Quest? It sounds promising.
MrMarius4711 Colin’s gaming show.
Steve Paul right? Haha
i never knew i needed this pairing but tim and brian just work. please get tim on NVC!
So thrilled to see Brian here!! Brap brap! One of the best gaming comedians in the biz.
One of the best ep ive ever listened to. I love the question of whats your gaming history
30 minutes in - totally one of the best gamescast episodes! Good job, Tim!
I love when Brian talks about Bloodborne. His original Beyond speech was a huge inspiration to get me into the game, and it's great to hear someone else who appreciates it as much as I do.

One of the best shows yet. You two are awesome.
This is one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen in a long time. Excellent chemistry. Not a dry moment in the entire show. Brian is awesome. I love this shit!
"you keep a watch on your desk? You would love clocks"

Love Brian, hope he comes back more often!
Man, it felt SO good to hear that “Brap Brap!” Again. Love Altano.
lol "Zod fell asleep watching Batman v Superman."
This is one of my favorite EPs of Gamescast ever. Good job guys!
What a nostalgia trip this Gamescast was. Thank you for the ggreat content.
I'll be honest, I had fallen off the KF train, but this gamecast reeled me back in, baby!
Probably my favorite episode of KFG
Looking back I think the Game Cube is my favorite system of all time. My buddies and I laugh at the handle but that little guy was moved everywhere and it still runs like a champ 17 years later with countless hours of play.
Great episode, loved it.
Great episode! Really awesome to hear Brian's history and both of your histories at ign!
Guys, this was a really, REALLY excellent episode! Go you man, you did well
This was such an awesome podcast. Its so cool listening to Altano, and his insight on the business, the history of games, how he and Tim got to know one another and all those stories and how they connect through very unique yet similar formative experiences through video games. New subscriber for sure! Get Tim on NVC!
great time codes in the description lol
Such a fantastic episode! Bryan should definitely come back soon.
I love that song from the South Park movie, "What Would Brian Altano Do"
Words can't describe how amazing Brian is. Great episode Tim, this would be a great new format for the Gamescast!
YES!!!!!!!! Brian! Seriously, when are you guys gonna hire that guy and give him his own show? :)
"We're gonna wake up, eat pancakes, and kill shredder." lol
This is one of the best Gamescast episodes ever
I loved this episode so much it got me threw painting my apartment to turn it over to a new tenant. I loved it.
Brian Altano is seriously one of the good ones. I really loved this!
It’s weird that I think it sounds weird when the IGN staff swear when they’re away from IGN
Also I completed TMNT for the NES 😎
Yep hahaha he walked in with 3 straight F bombs and it was like getting 3 pieced by Tyson in his prime hahaha
Daniel Deverell you should listen to the comedy button then.
BRAAAAAAPPP BRRRRRRRAAAPPPPPPPPPPPP
I was just transfixed to this gamescast. Fantastic episode!
We love you Brian! Please come by KF anytime!

Yeah it's really just semantics. Even if you didn't pay anything, you support them any time you watch their content and they know and appreciate that.
Abigail Warner I agree, I like when Greg says “or you can get it on time on RUclips.”
Obviously not a big deal or anything, but on the All-Stars version of SMB 1, Mario actually DOES go directly from fire to small mario when you get hit once just like the original!
Brian is such a good story teller, love this guy!
Damn!... I think this was one of the Best Gamescast!!!! I laughed so hard, and even shed a tear! So many memories and nostalgia in this episode! Thanks guys!
Tim without a beat dropping that Nintendo Power Tip Hotline number.
I cooked some chicken fingers and now I'm ready to hear the Brapman speak! Hoowah!!
The first game I played was Super Mario Bros 3 when I was little back in the mid 90’s.
I don't recall that the 1-800 number gave gameplay advice. The number to call the game play counselors was 206.885.7529, so it was a long-distance call for most people.

Love Brian Altano as well. He's cracks me so much. That top ten panel at Pax where he kept putting stupid games on the list. LOL
Maybe my favorite Gamescast EVER!
Brrrraaapp!!! Love the shit outta this dude. Love when they bring some of the IGN peeps on. They need to have Marty, Max, and Daemon on as well!
NVC on IGN needs to have an epic episode sometime where they combine all the Kinda Funny peeps and NVC peeps at once.
Love you Brian!!! I could listen to you talk about video games, all day!!! o/
Top 10 list are the reason why i will be playing shadow of the colossus for the first time this year. Never even heard of the game until the launch of the ps4.
What a great episode!!! Brian is so cool....good job Tim!
Gamescast is on fire lately!
Besides Brian’s infinite amount of metaphors and analogies
This was a great show!
"There were two bosses in Cuphead where I was like, Idk if I can do this?" - Tim
That's how I felt about every single boss in Bloodborne.
Naveed Akhtar
Did you beat them
Git gud
Yeah I've beat Bloodborne. I was gonna quit as well. But I got gud. I've since beat Nioh and Dark Souls 3.
Naveed Akhtar thats what i like to hear
I share Tim’s viewpoint on cuphead. I beat it and it was definitely frustrating towards the end (king dice mostly) but it was so incredible I always wanted to carry on and quitting without beating it is such a disservice to yourself to miss out on all it has to offer

Need. More. Brian.
In this episode, Brian and Tim ignite a bromance.
this episode is freakin class
OMG Crazy Eddie! Remember those commercials... Who the hell was that maniac? An actual criminal, apparently.
I know that feel about trading in games, traded in Ratchet and Clank 2 and 3 for Shrek 2: The game....
This was a great episode!
it's kinda like when razor Ramon and big daddy cool diesel crashed wcw.
Very good video really enjoyed how you guys talked about how you made life long friends from video games i had that same experience with video games
56:00 Best of lists are fine...but don't make me click through 10 pages to read them.
ECCO isnt "bad" per say... its georgeous and peaceful... it does what it does well
Easily one of my favorite episodes ever. And, for the record...it was only a 6 pack I crushed against my forehead....tried the 12’er and I cried, repeatedly, like a little baby. 😜

Brian - Max = watchable content
Max is one of the smartest, funniest, most clever and most genuinely great people on earth. I'm sorry he hurt your feelings.
Love you Brian, but I completely disagree. He never hurt my feelings. Nothing about his personality, communication, delivery or otherwise makes me want to watch his content. He has a great narration presence though!
