I had to restring a bracelet; silver beads on elastic like this pattern. I didn't have a clue, I didn't even know the pattern had a name... I stumbled blindly around on You Tube...I found out it was called Right Angle Weave. After many videos and lots of frustration I found your video....Hallelujah!!!!! I easily completed the bracelet stopping and starting your very clear instructions and I can now return it to my (hopefully very impressed!) customer with the knowledge that I have learnt something new.. Thank you..
At last! A very good video for teaching RAW. Clear picture. Good speaking voice. Close-ups for needle moves. I'm pretty sure I could do this stitch now. Many many thanks Leah!
YOU ARE AMAZING! I've seen dozens of right angle weaving youtube videos and YOURS is the only one that I could understand and actually follow I can see the clock face and follow through it clicked! thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I have watched many tutorials on RAW and I was getting extremely frustrated. The way you explained it with the clock set off an alarm in my head and I was able to figure it out. Thanks again. Louis
Awesome video ... i am a beginner with bead weaving and with your instruction (love the clock/compass reference) i feel i will be successful! Thank you!!

Excellent redo-the clock face makes sense to me. Having to decide whether I need to go left or right, never straight, and not back into old beadwork also is helping my brain to figure out this stitch. It seems as though I do fairly well with a straight line of RAW-it's trying to add on other rows that sends my head spinning! So, thanks Leah, for another very helpful video which will give me a good reason to try this stitch again!!
I like this, I'd been watching a gif on pinterest for a similar thing and kept goofing 😩 Even when i finally got to the end, the string i used would snap and Id feel so defeated. Thanks for the walk through!
Hi Louis! If you mean just changing the colors of the beads so it gives you the look of a stripe going down the middle? If so, then the most video we have on that at this time is when I show in the above video adding in a second color.
@@leahwyckoff4791 more like a diagonal stripe. 2 colors alternating stripes. I actually learned how to do it with 2 needles RAW. It worked. And I made 2 bracelets.
I want to weate 23cm by 45 cm worth, so i feel like ill run out of thread, so what must i do there? how long of a thread will i need? can i keep it attached to the wheel or do i need it to be cut n very finite?
A couple years ago I found a RAW necklace and at the bottom it formed a triangle, I think, and then went back up the other side of the necklace. I can’t find one.
I've done RAW, but recently came across instructions for "one-drop right angle weave." Does anyone know what that is and where there might be a RUclips video tutorial for it?
Hi there... I've never heard of "one drop right angle weave" - the only thing I can think of is perhaps they took it upon themselves to give ladder stitch a new (but inaccurate) name? Because ladder stitch has some similarities at times to RAW and you CAN chain one bead to one bead and so on... Would love if you could give any more info on what you saw. :-)
@@leahwyckoff4791 Hi, Leah. Thanks for your response. I saw the instruction for "one-drop right angle weave" in the book TWO STITCHES by Rachel Nelson-Smith. The name of the necklace design/project is Trispire Necklace. The closure is really cool. In the "Look Inside" section on Amazon, you can see photos of it after page 23 (look at the photo in the lower-left quadrant), and also after page 41. www.amazon.com/Two-Stitches-Jewelry-Projects-Inspirations/dp/1454708735#reader_1454708735 The instruction in question appears in the screen shot after page 41, in the middle of the page ["Figure 6 Work a base of one-drop right angle weave..."] Close-ups are 3 and 4 pages from the bottom of the preview pages. After an unsuccessful search for a definition of "one-drop" RAW, I have concluded that the author must mean one-bead-per-side for each unit of RAW. That's what the illustration accompanying the instruction looks like. It's the reference to "drop" in the name that is confusing me. But my guess could be wrong. I'm open to suggestions! :-)
Thanks for the feedback. We have heard it and changed the way we film our videos, please check out our more recent videos and you won't hear any keyboard noise in the background. 💕
Thanks for your feedback. Lot's of people love Leah's chatty style but sure it's not for everyone. Luckily there are so many different channels on RUclips to choose from 😉
Thank you for explaining the right angle weave. You have helped me so much 😊😊
Happy to help! 🥰

Awesome that you’re redoing some of these tutorials. I know RAW but I watched it anyway because I find I always learn something new! Thank you, Leah.

That was very helpful! I’ve got one row RAW down but haven’t done multiple rows yet. This makes a lot of sense! Thank you for sharing! 💜
Thanks Sharon! Glad you liked it - give that second row a try!! :-)
Hi Lea, I learned a lot from this video. I want to learn how to make a striped RAW bracelet. Do you have a video? Louis

You mean there is no left-angle weave? I don't want to get a ticket for blocking the intersection. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
LOL!!
That background rattling is REALLY annoying in trying to listen to your tutorial.
