Crowd Orgams HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Haha!
Trencherman is an absolutely insane display.
I have a copy of this and it is UNBELIEVABLE. Watched this thousands of times over the years. Amazing.
Virgil, if everyone played drums, this would be the most watched video on RUclips.
That kids excitement pointing it out to his brother at 7:20 is what lifes all about.
IV'E BEEN ON TABLETS EVER SINCE I WATCHED THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I went to the Doctor and he asked me what was wrong, i played this video for him, When it was over he said i would be on tablets for the rest of my life.
Hahaha!
OTV - Still one of my favorite recordings ever.
Adam Pace totally agree!
His hand technique is out of this world.
Amazing, no one else comes close. Planet X are the daddies of djent and modern fusion.
ON THE VIRG TRACKS
Just amazing. I love how hard he's hitting the snare!
On The Virg album is a classic.
The crowds reaction says it all.
Dich finde ich auch überall kommentieren! :D
I swear the intro drums to Trencherman still sound like Fusion from another dimension with knowledge and understanding infinitely beyond our own.
I still have no freaking idea how it's humanly possible to pull it off while still being able to somehow keep composure and actually play through the song. Especially given what lies ahead. It's not fair, but such an absolute blessing to be able to hear this man do his thing.
Demétrius Locks, Brazilian drummer can play this Virgil pieces
That's absolutely amazing... Thank you Virgil.
Thank you for this amazing gift, Virgil !
To my mind THE best video of Virg on the internet. Showcases what he is capable of in full flight. Ferocious drumming combined with such precision and command to seemingly bend time to his choosing. Perhaps had more fire in the belly back then, especially from 38:30 onwards, attacks the drums in a way that few (if any) can.
I had this one on VHS! Wore it out completely. Thank you Virgil for coming to Dallas, TX!!!
I was there that night!!! Thank you for uploading this and for the continued inspiration!
!!!!!!!!!!! Hurricane drum solo!!!!!! Pure madness!!
More stuff like this (raw, long, unedited) should be posted here. Thanks in advance, Virgil.
Cool Virgil. You need enjoy the internet, for spread your job. I love ON THE VIRG. Thanks for the upload.
I absolutely LOVE the energy of this crowd. They’re going completely insane!!
Virgil Donati drum clinic. Proceeds to play drums
Omg! You are number one!! ♥️♥️
Virgil was burning that house down
I bet just once he would like the crowd to cheer while he's creating phrases in quintuplets while keeping a steady triplet pattern with his feet.
The crowd kept cheering at the fast, yet much easier stuff.
Thanks Virgil awesome !
Wow this is brilliant. Just had the privilege of seeing Virgil and his band play at Reggies in Chi a few months back. We were completely floored as usual.
I own a few of his clinic videos, but this is absolutely insane....he is definitely in beast mode
A absolute gift!!!! Thanks a lot, dear Virgil! This video makes me happy! Amazing as usual. Big hug from Argentina maestro Virgil.

OK, I could be wrong, but that looks like the Pearl mahogany kit that Dynamic Percussion kept on the showroom floor at the time. That was my dream kit when I would go in there as a teenager.

I miss this Virgil. This was his prime to me. I'm not really into the technical music or the " let's see how far we can push the human body and brain on a drum set) but here he's just a fucking force of nature. I feel like he lost the fluidity he used to have. Here it was just.... different. It's not that he's old now, that he lost his chops or skill... but he just plays different. Still incredibly technical, but less impressive...
I hear you but think it’s cool that he always evolves, you look at some of the other famous drummers and they play the same stuff from 30-40 years ago. Virgil has a new voice every 5 years or so.
ALIEN
Any idea on the model of his main snare drum here?
Precisão cirurgica!
Would it be pretentious to call this drum solo one of your best?
Then again i can't really think of a bad one, so...
Nope..sorry..not possible. Beyond alien.
It's proof one could go disguised to another planet and no one will make too big a deal.
