@@HydroniteTB Sunny himself does have a pretty ignorant understanding of why Dream did that face reveal though. And it's really just a matter of Dream being significantly bigger than him therefor lots of things are different. I don't think Sunny would understand the relentless assault on Dream's image and why Dream would just say fuck it and face face reveal.
@@gagetaylor192 true true, a lot of it is scary from Dream’s perspective to have people constantly try to see his face so I can definitely understand the reason for it, plus it also kinda takes away the power those people have and to reveal his face on his own terms negates it
I remember people being so obsessed with CorpseHusband because of his voice, and people have constantly asked him to do a face reveal. He stated multiple times that he has no intentions of doing a face reveal, because of how ruthless and judgmental the internet can be on one’s appearance, if they don’t look like the person some people imagined.
The Dream Face Reveal and the aftermath pretty much validated CorpseHusband’s fears of doing a face reveal, and is certainly gonna sway current and future content creators to stay anonymous.

dream didn't look bad, but I feel like people shouldn't be hated for expecting more. he hyped it up so much that it made people think he would be this extremely attractive person that all the fan art made him to be. when he did the face reveal and was just a normal guy, people were definitely disappointed, not because they expected more to begin with, but because they expected more when dream hyped them up
I think that was a main part of it that the fans were WAY TOO HYPED to see his face. Then when they saw it as you said, they got disappointed

I’ve never watched a Dream video but personally, as a straight dude, he’s a good looking guy.
Dream is just your average joe just like the rest of us fellas, but his fans who are supposed to be true to Dream just didn't like what they saw, I guess they expected to look like a giga chad or something like that m. But Dream is a good looking fella (No homo, I'm not fruity). But Dream really doesn't care about the hate, he was recently in a MrBeast video but didn't get much screen time due to him being sick. And he's probably going to be in many more coming soon
I used to watch Dream with his Minecraft Manhunt videos but other than that, I hardly watch anything else relating to Dream besides a few Tommyinit videos, a few Techno videos and I seen a few others when I watch MrBeast like George, Sapnap, Karl to name a few but other than that, I hardly seen anything about Dream except tor the manhunts. I haven't watched Dream since the face reveal

Successful content creators either show their face at the beginning or never show their face for confidence reasons and it translates to the viewers who they attract.

Dream didn’t stop doing his mc vs hunter series because of the declining popularity of Minecraft, it’s most likely because he’d been doing the series for 3+ years. Most of his subs probably watched dream way after then and just haven’t recognized how much time is put into his videos and he just got overworked and tired.
