    Basia, I am so glad you did this video on this exact tool. I have been looking at this for over a year and have been looking for reviews. Thank you!

      I only just got it, so the more in depth review is pending, but I'll share it as soon as I'm able to use this microscope for some time 😀 First impression is great though! And other reviews on RUclips are also really good, which convinced me to give it a go. I think this is a perfect alternative to expensive microscopes 👍

    Very well done Basila! I enjoyed watching you unbox and put the microscope together on the bench, and learned so much. Now when im ready to purchase I have a perfect baseline to judge the others I consider! Thank you ! Again, very well done.

    You will definitely want to also get an LED ring light for this which, unfortunately, is not within the pack.

    • @TheArtOfMetalsmithing
      @TheArtOfMetalsmithing  7 месяцев назад +3

      Ohh, exactly, that's what I was thinking about! What type of light I will need, thank you so much for the suggestion 🙏 I could tell already that a regular light won't be enough and even the lamp I have right now doesn't cover all of the area. So the ring light it is then 👍

    • @torstenneuer1560
      @torstenneuer1560 7 месяцев назад

      @@TheArtOfMetalsmithing Just look for "LED ring light" at the usual places (for some reasons, links to suppliers get blocked in the comments). Some come with about 144 LEDs and they are mounted with 3 screws on the microscope. It might also help if the light is dimmable.

      @@TheArtOfMetalsmithing Hiya Lady Stardust,
      A ring light would be perfect, LED even better; the same for your camera? Do you know if your scope will take a camera? Well done on such a great buy.

    It looks perfect for fine work and detailing, as my eyes are not so good anymore. But it looks as though it takes up a lot of workspace on the desk and maybe it will need a separate desk set up for finishing work. I live in Vietnam now, so I don't think I can get one, but I think I need one. ☺ Great video as always.

  • @HabibahW
    @HabibahW 7 месяцев назад +1

    I have a microscope I got from Amzon years back for stone setting and engraving. Recently I seen this exact one on Amazon and it comes with an engraving ball kit for 500+ bucks. This on would be a Huge ! Upgrade from mines due to the spring bracket. This just makes we want to get it even more. Thanks for sharing 😜👍🏿.

    • @TheArtOfMetalsmithing
      @TheArtOfMetalsmithing  7 месяцев назад +1

      And it comes WITH an engraving ball?? Niiiice, I'd say go for it 😆 Mostly because these two tools are usually very expensive by themselves, not to mention the prices of some models at other shops (GRS ball vice would be a DREAM, but it's a top shelf product for a top shelf price). And if you're looking into getting both of these tools, then this may be a great opportunity 👍 My ball vice is also by Vevor, I bought it several years ago and it's alright!

  • @DB-zp9un
    @DB-zp9un 7 месяцев назад +1

    My frame hits the knob for the height when rotating the scope so I've had it loosen that knob and the whole scope slide all the way to the lowest position unexpectedly. Other than that, have been REALLY happy with it for the price.
