I bought an Eagle One last year and this January I also got the Eagle One Pro which has a built in steering damper and then thia past week I ordered another Eagle One and it seems that they have added some new features to it. Right away I noticed that it has a steering damper and also the suspension feel better, much smoother. I reached out to Varla and they confirmed the new features and mentioned that it may travel faster also. I was quite surprised since I paid less this time($1350) than last year ($1550).
Are you having an issue where the steering wants to stick to center? I just got mine and the steering is really stiff and sticks to the center. Not smooth at all.
@@outlawedmedia4336 it's not an issue, it is the same as in the Eagle One Pro, it's meant to be like a steering damper, you get used to it after a while. It helps keep it center at higher speeds. At lower speeds ot's more difficult to turn but I like it.
@@EX121 Oh really? Well then I don't like that design. Much of my ride time is going lower speeds and I find it clunky and dangerous trying to fight the center notch. No review mentioned it but I'm gonna make a review video talking about it and warning folks about it. I would hto have liked to know about it before buying. Varla customer support has been impossible to reach. Another reason to avoid this scooter imo

Just got mine about an hour ago. Did the GOW mods already. One question, the new riser only goes about halfway down, the bolt on the red cap can still thread in though, is this going to be an issue? Also did you have any problems with the grips, or the end caps on the grips, they seem a little to big for the new bar? Thanks for the great channel, and thanks for helping Yogi Steve with his channel too 👍🏻
A better upgrade for the rear of the eagle one is the buy a tire hugger off of AliExpress. I have it on my vsett 10+ and zero problems, you can also adjust it so that it can be as close or as far for the tires as possible.

Nice ride and review...after market tires look simular to the ones that came on my brand new Freego - ev es10 2,000 watt (2 motor). I try and watch eagle one videos as I think both scooters are very simular even tho I got mine on a sale for $720 lol, they run about 800-900 shipped. Because it's so new only one person's done a video on it and they refuse to ride it hard lol... I just got into electric scooters but iv been reading and watching and learning for many years, none of my gfs thought it was a good idea 😑 My freego's acceleration and top speed are simular to the eagle one as well, I'm a week in and I'm still a bit nervous because with the twist throttle (never used one) it took me days to feel comfortable riding it,at times it feels like a bull that wants to buck you off but that's prolly me not giving it enough respect lol. I think for 1,000 and under its right up there with the best, granted I haven't riden any others yet but just from the reviews iv seen, not Bad at all... This would he a good one to check out ;) Even tho conditions aren't ideal here in NH right now, think it was 30 degrees out lastnight when I went for a ride... I got 40 miles of range with it,and that was a mix of cruising in first gear (22mph) and 2nd gear, wich gets me to 30mph although it feels faster then it says,I hope as it warms up it gets even better. Just wanted to say thanks again as I watched a ton of your videos before even making a scooter purchase :)
Gotta agree with ya! I don’t think i could’ve found a better buy! This thing is awesome and the customer service is great as well! They have gotten right back to me on every inquiry, literally within 24 hrs every-time!
Great video. I love the stem/bars upgrade and it's great to know it accepts a 1-1/8" stem. 70mm is definitely the stem length, by the way. They are usually defined by the length and the angle. "Rise" would be affected by the head tube angle. Is the front suspension adjustable? If it is, that might just seal the deal for me...
I learned that the front shock is a replaceable coil-over unit similar to the rear, but I think it may be a different length. I would love to know the correct spec or where to look up the spec, if anyone knows.
great video, I have ordered some of the stuff you mentioned. Had a question - Where do you get your inner tubes for the Eagle One. Am I correct that if it fits a Zero 10X it will fit Varla Eagle One? The Varla inner tubes seem pricy and a little cheap to me. And anyone watching this, have any of you used SLIME in the tubes? Great vids. Thank you!
Nicely done Ginger...love my Eagle One...I just filmed an after 1000km review...short version...it's great :) I'm shorter than you (6') but don't find the stock to be too short...not like the Dualtron X which was frightening under braking...but will consider the upgrade on the stem riser :) Cheers from Victoria :)

Question. Can the controller handle more amp hours? Is there a cheap controller upgrade that can? Then id buy like 4 of those batteries and swap em charge them all in a backpack at starbucks half way there. After my solar panels I'll be able to keep riding on the farm w/o gas
Glad to hear you're enjoying those treads man, I found a newer version of them recently that dont have the little nipples all over the outer edge of the tread if you want it? (I found those nipples really screwed with my ability to go full tilt around a corner) Also, put two washers under and one above on each of fender guard screws, the screws will rip through the mud guard eventually otherwise(mine was about 2000km) and it raises the guard up a bit more out of the way, they do wobble a lot. Last thing, promise, replace the 8mm bolt that attaches the front suspension to the steering pole, its not rated for anything decent and they're like $2 for a 12.9 rated one. (When they snap, it feels like the front end is really loose and you get deflection left and right while riding and trying to go straight or cornering, truly terrifying at 60km/h)
I lied, I got another one, I'm hooking a couple of Inokim OX 60v's up to mine soon (I have the 52v version too) the internals of the esc's are rated for 80v so I'm going for it. Practising wheelies, start on something with a fixed rear, the eagle will try to push you back down with that rear spring after launch and make it hard to get past that initial lift.
Hi. Can you please provide me with the links for both the tires you have and the bolt you are talking about replacing? Thanks! Your comment is REALLY helpful and I want to underscore the safety you are talking about. Thanks for sharing!
The link for the rear shock goes to a website I am unable to buy from. Also they do not offer a 135mm in that shock. Any other suggestions where to get 135mm shocks?
You can also use the better fender/mudguard from the zero 11X, but you need to drill one hole in each aluminium bracket to be able to mount it on the 10x /Eagle One

I don't see anybody here asking this question but I ended up buying the handlebar riser that you bought and it sticks up an inch past the main tube so there's only one screw really holding it and I can't put the red cap on the top the safety cap what do I do about that really it doesn't really fit
Question is it a way to lockdown the scooter like fold it and carry it 1 handed Seem like u can't fold it and lock it in place if not can we buy something that can do that
So my Eagle One gets delivered tomorrow. Ordered the upgrades except for the tires. I found the Exa Form 291R shock, but I'm not seeing a 165mm with a 2,000 lbs. spring rate. Was that stated correctly in the video? Ali Express and Ebbo Shop only have the 2,000 lbs. spring rate in the 125mm and 150mm.
@@Rogue-Drone I haven't been able to track down the shock yet. My Eagle One is mostly great. There is an issue with the display. I need to pull the wires out of the bottom section tonight and test with a volt meter. Didn't know I was going to become a scooter repair shop when I purchased the EO. The E10 comm error doesn't show the speed on the display when the error occurs.

Is the front suspension upgradeable?
Hey ginge I have already got the same bar.s and I have just ordered the same stem as yours its coming Wednesday I can't wait. I was worried the cables wouldn't reach but now I know it does thanx ginge your a star. Oh tell ye girl I said hi I seen her in one of your videos the varla one. You should have her in your video more often mate
Thanks for the great channel, and thanks for helping Yogi Steve with his channel too 👍🏻
I have the same question about the riser. Can I ride my scooter like this? 🤷🏻♂️ I don't wanna break anything haha
Really cool little scooter, love the upgrades.thanks for sharing Ryan.
Thanks for watching!
A better upgrade for the rear of the eagle one is the buy a tire hugger off of AliExpress. I have it on my vsett 10+ and zero problems, you can also adjust it so that it can be as close or as far for the tires as possible.
Hey cool tip. Can you link us?
One other thing RK9 rides did off-road with the eagle one it can handle a lot of abuse.

Have you thought about getting a steering stabilizer? I put one on my Varla and it is hands down the best upgrade I've done so far. So much better, no speed wobbles ever, and I can take a hand off the bars when needed.
I just got into electric scooters but iv been reading and watching and learning for many years, none of my gfs thought it was a good idea 😑
My freego's acceleration and top speed are simular to the eagle one as well, I'm a week in and I'm still a bit nervous because with the twist throttle (never used one) it took me days to feel comfortable riding it,at times it feels like a bull that wants to buck you off but that's prolly me not giving it enough respect lol. I think for 1,000 and under its right up there with the best, granted I haven't riden any others yet but just from the reviews iv seen, not Bad at all...
This would he a good one to check out ;)
Even tho conditions aren't ideal here in NH right now, think it was 30 degrees out lastnight when I went for a ride...
Thanks. All upgrades are in the cart lol. More money I don’t need to spend lol
Well personally I've had mine for a year and the suspensions been great but I never tried adjusting anything
si it has some rake thus aeridynamicy if i move the deck back then the forwarded handlebars would not have to be like that what do you think ?
great video, I have ordered some of the stuff you mentioned. Great vids. Thank you!
Hey just wondering will the frame sliders fit for the vsett 10+
Yes.
@@GingerOnWheels 🙏 Thx
Nicely done Ginger...love my Eagle One...I just filmed an after 1000km review...short version...it's great :)
I'm shorter than you (6') but don't find the stock to be too short...not like the Dualtron X which was frightening under braking...but will consider the upgrade on the stem riser :)
Cheers from Victoria :)
I'm heading there now to check your Wolf King GT Pro Review =) Nice review Ginger... but... didn't this scooter shut off after a puddle or? did you resurrect it? I'm curious you never really said =) just that you upgraded it

What weight rating did you get on the rear shock? Any idea if this will fit the eagle one pro?
I believe I got 1500 lbs. I weigh 220lbs though.
Question. Can the controller handle more amp hours? Is there a cheap controller upgrade that can? Then id buy like 4 of those batteries and swap em charge them all in a backpack at starbucks half way there. After my solar panels I'll be able to keep riding on the farm w/o gas
You should make a video on the best scooters to buy with tubeless tires.

Just ordered my varla eagle one. Now about to check out a few of your links and purchase some upgrades
Sweet! Hopefully you used the code GINGERONWHEELS50 for $50 off the scooter! Thanks for stopping by the channel.
Glad to hear you're enjoying those treads man, I found a newer version of them recently that dont have the little nipples all over the outer edge of the tread if you want it?
(I found those nipples really screwed with my ability to go full tilt around a corner)
Also, put two washers under and one above on each of fender guard screws, the screws will rip through the mud guard eventually otherwise(mine was about 2000km) and it raises the guard up a bit more out of the way, they do wobble a lot.
@@johnnysmith7051 I bought the bolt locally, so no link sorry, tyres are available in tge x10 tyre change video on my channel ✌️
@@JamiePineappleWyatt thank you! What about an installation video for the rear shock replacement?
The link for the rear shock goes to a website I am unable to buy from. Also they do not offer a 135mm in that shock. Any other suggestions where to get 135mm shocks?
Most any shock you can buy can be found on AliExpress or Alibaba.
I made a super simple aluminium support for the fender, now mine is super sturdy.
You can also use the better fender/mudguard from the zero 11X, but you need to drill one hole in each aluminium bracket to be able to mount it on the 10x /Eagle One
WOW.... Amazing Video.... So informative .... Thanks for the Info.... Props
how wide are those tires on amazon, my scooter has 10 inch 2.5 inch wide
Ginger when it rain does the fender work ? Because you said your back was all wet or did u find a third party accessorie to help with that ?
The frame sliders fit over the lug on the wheel or replaces it?
They fit over it so there is both the slider and the lug nut.
Can you shorten the stem by 150mm then add the stem riser to get a total reduction of 75mm.
That way less leverage pull on the stem pole??
Top video, they just keep getting better, lots of great tips and upgrades, I have a Vsett 10+ and looking at upgrading to 160mm gold disc rotors not because I need more stopping power but just because I can, next I will need some of those sliders, when will it end 😂
Confused about the shocks. Its a chiense website, but where do i buy it??
Is there any way you could add links to these upgrades? I really love the upgrades you've done. Thank you
Maybe your volume isn't working right. In the video I said multiple times that the links to the upgrades are in the description of the video. 😉
I don't see anybody here asking this question but I ended up buying the handlebar riser that you bought and it sticks up an inch past the main tube so there's only one screw really holding it and I can't put the red cap on the top the safety cap what do I do about that really it doesn't really fit
So I did put it on there and it seems like it's good enough but still wondering your opinion about the safety of it
Same, someone please answer this question 😂😫
Hey Ginger! Great video. Where did you get the hybrid tires?
Question is it a way to lockdown the scooter like fold it and carry it 1 handed
Seem like u can't fold it and lock it in place if not can we buy something that can do that
So my Eagle One gets delivered tomorrow.
Did you figure anything out about your shopping yet? How’s the scooter? I just unboxed mine and out the bars on it.
@@Rogue-Drone I haven't been able to track down the shock yet. My Eagle One is mostly great. There is an issue with the display. I'm getting error code E10 which I've tracked down to the cable between the upper connector and the display. Varla keeps having me test things instead of sending a new display. I need to pull the wires out of the bottom section tonight and test with a volt meter. Didn't know I was going to become a scooter repair shop when I purchased the EO. The E10 comm error doesn't show the speed on the display when the error occurs.
I tested the Varla eagle 1s speedometer vs the GPS and the Varla actually underestimated the speed by about 1mph! Crazy but true! I hit 40 mph easy on a slight downhill. Varla says 40 mph gps 41.2 or something like that.
Do you need to compress cups in the caliper so your new brakes will slide over the rotor 🤔

Good day my friend. I’m curious where did you get the wheel nut protector’s from been looking for something like that for my Apollo ghost 👻. Thanks
Ive done over 2000 miles on my zero 10x, still going strong.
I've been debating between this and the mantis se. I've driven the se at voro motors and absolutely loved it... but it was a little touchy compared to my emove (brakes was very strong snd acceleration was instant)
GINGER! How would you compare the acceleration between the varla and the mantis pro? Also top speed differences please
Ok you answered my question on the top speed haha. Surprised the mantis doesn't do better than 35
Mantis has better hill climbing power and faster acceleration though, being 60v over 52v has its advantages. This is the one I was comparing to. bit.ly/VoroMantis

I'm 105 kilo and about 6 foot 1. I've been looking at the Wolf Warrior GT Pro because I want a scooter that is not just a toy, but one that means business. One that is very strong but comfortable to ride, very reliable and easy to find parts for, and one that has good speed. One that is good for off road would be a bonus to. I seat attachment would be great but optional. What would you recommend?
Just waiting till you upgrade the battery. But for the price it might just be one of my favorite scooters.
