Sending you my best wishes. I had a temporary ileostomy. following removal of all of my large intestine for cancer in 2009, I had a J-pouch constricted internally so I could have my stoma put back. I then had an unrelated cervical cancer diagnosis just after my 5 year post colon cancer marker . Had radical hysterectomy, removal of ovaries etc followed by chemo and radiation. You can only take each day at a time, cherish the better days and grit your teeth through the worse days until you come out the other side- which I pray you will x I’m 7 years post cervical cancer now but do worry about achieving the trifecta and getting another cancer 😫
I totally understand where you are coming from...I had cervical cancer surgery 3 years ago and had a radical hysterectomy and at the same time while having my biopsy on my cervix she asked if I wanted a uterine biopsy because of symptoms I had and she ended up finding endometrial cancer stage 1 also....so when you end up with 2 different cancers you do question is there going to be a third. Wishing you and Malin good health and a cancer free future.
I went to look up the name Malin because I was thinking how pretty it was and found out in english it means "little strong warrior" and thought how fitting for your current circumstances. Sending you all the best and thank you for sharing such a tough journey with us.
GOD BLESS YOU and your family Malin for a speedy recovery and BLESS your sweet husband to cheer you on. You both are troopers. Love and best wishes your way.
I'm so happy the surgery went well. You are so brave, Malin. You will be fine. It will take a while but finally you will be ok. Sending you love. Thanks very much to both of you for keeping us updated as we really care about you & your family. 💚💚💛💛🧡🧡❤❤💖💖💜💜💙💙
Shirley here, my mom had the bag she had colon cancer, she had it reversed in 9 months. It was major surgery. For weeks she felt like she had to go to the bathroom all the time finally that subsided.
God bless, you are both so lovely. I can say no more except to hope that although not your choice, the operation allows you less discomfort and pain. I hope my prayers and hugs find their way to you and your little family ❤️🤗🇬🇧🐻🙏 xx
Thank you for the update Malin & Tom - I am glad to hear that surgery went well . I pray that you recover your strength well before your next surgery and that God’s healing hand will be upon you .May He give you both peace and strength through it all Malin & Tom 🙏 Sending love from Australia 🇦🇺 💕🙏

I too had an emergency colostomy and it was so difficult at first…but honestly after a month of sucking life will get so much better! You can still live your life exactly like you did before and wear what you want to. Coming from someone who thought I would never get thru it …trust me you will. You will get thru this!!
Thank you for this nice comment. It’s so nice and motivating to hear from someone who’s been through it and is out on the other side! Thank you for sharing 🧡
You mentioned her getting her ureters removed during her upcoming surgery. Is Malin getting a pelvic exenteration? If so I hope you're aware of Tiffany Thinks on RUclips? She had hers 3 months ago and is doing amazingly well. It's a big deal, but there is life afterwards.
My brother had a temporary colostomy bag for a couple of years he managed better than we all imagined ,when he had his reversal he was fine also ,just take one day at a time , minute for minute wishing you all the best in your recovery 💜

You two are so amazing. I am so glad Malin got through the surgery so well and as you say this journey just keeps giving . I pray 🙏 you get some healing ❤️🩹 Malin and that you keep your mantra it is what it is for now not forever . Sending love and positive vibes . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Living with a stoma is a life changer for sure, but it’s easy to become accustomed to. I’ve had my ileostomy for 13 months now and she saved my life. It’s second nature to me now after a good learning curve with her. Positive thoughts to you and accepting your Ostomy in a positive way will help you mentally adjust love. Chin up. ❤ (my ostomy surgery was 22/03/22)
I also had an illiostomy for a few months due to severe UC and bowel being punctured during colonoscopy. They removed my large intestine, and when I woke up I had an NG tube, drains out my sides, IV’s going. How does she look like she just had some routine surgery with no downtime?! It’s impressive. I looked way worse than her!
Both of you are so strong and sweet and positive. All the prayers and good vibes for recovery and healing and peace for today and the next surgery . ❤❤
Allllll theeeee bestttt! 🥰✨👏🏻 so sweet that they offered you pen and paper for any questions! At least you seem to be in very caring hands. Stay strong and recover well!
You will be fine Malin, all love och kärlek, blev ytterst berörd, touched by your history, du har en fantastisk, just an amazing man, vid din sida, by your side. Med all kärlek and love for vad what u are going, går igenom. Till er båda, both, min kärlek till er, my love to both of you.
My husband has had an ilieostomy 15 years ago at the age of 38 and it saved his life. His surgeon strongly recommended to not get the reversal it's not worth it.
They’ve done the same with me now, they strongly recommend me to not get the reversal so I’ve decided not to. More information about this in the next video. It’s nice to hear from someone who’s been through it and also can say that I’m making the right decision!
Oh Malin so glad surgery has gone well even though it was an unexpected hiccup. Tom thank you for the update you are doing a great supporting role! Love and hugs to you both from UK 💞💖xx

Hi guys, thanks so, so much for sharing this with us!!!!. I am so happy this surgery at least went really well, that's really great news!. I know Malin wanted to enjoy a few weeks after quimo before the big surgery... and Malin, you will. This will be all over pretty soon and you will enjoy your kids, the van and your amazing husband. I know it feels now like far away but in a few months you will see things very differently. How are you dealing with the bag? I can imagine it has to be quite hard when you first face it, am I right???? We are all here, thinking of you both and looking forward to the next video....
you ever heard of Sea Cucumber? I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last year in November and since my discharged, my mom has been serving me Sea Cucumber soup which is a type of marine animal came from East Asia. It is to believe that it has medical properties for fighting cancer cells that the Chinese often eats. It's pretty pricey and expensive though but it's worth a try.
, the colostomy will be permanent? I thought it's temporary. Anyway, as someone who had a colostomy bag for 5 months and an ileostomy bag for 11 months (due to colorectal cancer), I have to tell you that it was way much easier with the bag than the situation after the reversal surgery. Take care of you!
Yeah I realised that we say it’s temporary in the video but the information that we got after this was recorded is that it’ll be a permanent one. Thank you for the support. I hope that you’ve recovered and feeling good now after your surgeries! 🌞
