Adventuring in Parker Dam State Park (and the 5 best things to do!)

I drove to Parker Dam State Park for a day trip and had an absolute blast. I was able to hike on several hiking trails, some along Laurel Run and one that climbed up to an incredible overlook. Laurel Lake was busy with kayaks, fishermen, and swimmers; I even decided to take a dip myself. The park has lots of history surrounding the CCC and large section of the park where damage from a tornado that swept through 40 years ago is still visible. I will be planning my next visit here soon!

Another epic adventure Adam, can’t agree more about the short hike along Laurel Run it’s a magical spot, also hard to beat those views at the top there. Looking forward to the next one!

I haven't been to this park yet, so appreciate seeing the 5 things I should see. Looks like awesome hiking and nice to have swimming on the summer too.
