Awesome episode on Dawn of the Dead, Liam! I love your comparison of mall shoppers with zombies and I totally agree! 😂

It's the greatest little bit of social commentary ever, gotta love Romero!

Dawn of the Dead's influence on the entire Zombie sub Genre through it's scale, story and set pieces set the bar so high for Zombie movies that even after 45 years this film still hasn't been bettered.
    Cheers.

Great film. Shaun of the dead is still my favourite zombie film though lol. Also dead rising was a great game. Dawn of the dead is by far the most influential zombie film ever.

Dawn of The Dead, a classic among classics! I don't think they ever gave a reason why people were coming back from the dead and turning into Zombies, did they? Love this film. The acting is great, especially the scene where Roger says that he's going to do everything he can to not come back , powerful. If you haven't checked it out, Zack Snyders remake of Dawn of The Dead is even better! The Zombies there aren't slow moving. The Zombies actually run and sprint after you!! Ken Foree, who was in the original has a cameo. Ken utters that great line, "When there is no more room in Hell, the dead shall walk the earth". Great video! Keep them coming!!

I haven't seen the remake of Dawn in yeeeeaaaars, it's definitely one I'll have to come back to and check out again! And no I don't think there was an explanation for why the dead were coming back in the film!

Last year, I was fortunate enough to watch it in 3-D. It was hands down the best horror movie that year. That scene with the exploding head was worth it!

I bet Tom Savini's special effects looked extra gory and delightful in that 3D!

The daddy of zombie movies! Won the Arrow DVD boxset years ago, the Cannes and Argento Cuts are interesting alternatives.

Congrats on the win! For me, it's still the best zombie movie of all time!

Didn’t 1978 have two of the best examples of horror to date… DOTD is simply zombie perfection.. it improves on NOTLD by some margin… next 🎃
