Yup, after a wet hike, go with jogging pants! haha! One person, two dogs and leashes is never easy but wonderful that you adopted your retired gal! It is so wonderful that she has such a good home. :) :) Thanks for sharing. :) :)
Maui! So happy to see you hiking in Estonia again! You are the reason that I have Estonia down as my next overseas vacation! You are still Estonia’s number 1 ambassador ❤️
Great to see you back on the trail, what s beautiful addition to the family, I'm sure you'll soon have them both trained for the trail :o) Looking forward to the van build, exciting times :o) xx
Ole viisakas. Redigeerige vandumist. You are mastering the skills of building viewership. My favorite cruising videos are the one with dogs and couples raising their kids on the water. Carry on camping.
Thank you Maiu, for a delightful video with Linka & Odessa :-) :-) Your time as a " Musher " in Sweden appears to have a very positive experience; and your skills & confidence appear to have been polished .. be well & stay safe.. Cheers.
Glad to see you back on the trail and out for new adventures. I suggest you get yourself a split leash (aka a double leash). It will save you from getting tanged by both your pups.
Ha ha if you remained on your feet it was a success 😊. We have three dogs. A Beagle, Pit Bull, and a mixed puppy of unknown but very large breeds. He is still learning proper behavior. We live on fenced land where they can run free, but we take them on a leash for a weekly 3 mile trail walk. If the puppy sees a rabbit or a squirrel, hold on for the ride!! He is only 8 months old but when he stands on his back legs he puts his front paws on my shoulders and I’m 6’ 2”. He is still growing into his size and is sometimes clumsy and funny, but he can pull !!!!
I found you looking for tips for long hiking with my dog! I really like you and your videos! Humility and simplicity, yet well organized, wise and aware. Love it! ♡
Tree not only protect from rain, but warmer. I feel I am correct. Glad you are back in Estonia. I am still in Usonia. 🙋🏽♂️😃 "Everyman's right" Simply brilliant. UK I believe has something similar. ameriKa--never! Good on Estonia. Thank you for a grand video. And love your doggos..
Don't forget to take a good slice of the most expensive cheese to eat on the trail :D Loved your comment about being patient with the dogs, sometimes I even got angry with myself on the trail...
Use a poncho to prevent rain water to get in to the backside of your rugsak and making it wet, and get one size larger jeans to make it easier to wear. Cheers.
I like your approach to hiking/life. It’s rarely a race, but something to be enjoyed. I have no doubt you and the dogs will come to a leash arrangement that works for all of you 🥴. And stop with the “OMG-this face!” . I doubt anyone will ever get tired of seeing it (I hope that’s not inappropriate).
Amazing video again! Quick question about sled dogs tho. What do you do when you have to fix the course. I know there is commands to left and right but if you are a little bit off of the preferred route what do you do?
The lockdown is slowly easing in the UK, maybe get a few days away soon. Though my knees don't like much distance any more. Still, I can get to partake in such adventures as these, thanks for sharing. Stay happy
I understand how you are filling. This is not easy to walk with dogs who are good pulling, working dogs. We did not manage to get our dogs not to pull on a leash, because they are so excited to pull. So we are using bikes. :) Some years ago in summer we went also to Estonia with our malamutes with bikes. But then we were driving during night and resting during the day. It was so fun :)
Can I ask what you wear to sleep in - especially legs? For top I am happy with merino T-shirt, thermal long sleeve, fleece zip up and down jacket ... but what about pants? Everything seems either very heavy or not warm enough or designed for use while hiking rather than sleeping
@@MaiuLunekund it has been so long since you posted a video that one could easily assume this, no? If not, then hope to see some new content soon! Happy hiking! 😁

Me too! I never thought of Estonia as a place to visit until I saw your channel - now I’m planning to visit when the world opens back up
Awesome new update. Nice to see you back on trail. I enjoyed watching. 🌲👍
So good to see you out again. "Sausage coffee" is a first, lol. Beautiful dogs & team.
Tere! I miss your hikes in Estonia. Regards from Lithuania!

Laughed when you started snacking on a great big block of parmesan. Great idea honestly 👌
It's the best! 😄
Your dogs are awesome, you are very blessed
Very useful tips for hiking with dogs! Looking forward to your next video☺️

Thank you for this video, you make me happy with such videos :) all the best to you and yours, greetings from Hamburg/Germany, Dietmar.
Such a beautiful soul
Yeay, finally some actual hiking in Estonia again :3
So nice to see you back home!
I'm so glad I've found your channel, very real and inspiring ♡
Thanks for your video! I really enjoyed it. And the dogs are so cute!
That was so lovely-thank you for taking us on your journey! PS So agree about the bug net…keeps you sane in those conditions!!

Maui, it’s great to see you back on the trail. I think of you often, I hope things are going well for you.
Beautiful new dog! Looked like an awesome trail. Good luck with the Van Conversion. Finished mine up recently. 👍👍✌️
I just watched this again two weeks later.. I think the first time I missed you chomping into a block of Parmesan cheese! Kind of a unique trait!
Awesome video!!! So fun to watch your passion grow into a keen skill working with sled dogs!!!

Delightful !
Looks amazing. Romanai has two hiking styles> Carpathian and Pannonian; steep and flat
Great to see you back Maui.
Ill admit. I hit like as soon as I saw the new dog :-)

It's still saying left and right, a good lead dog knows how to steer without a trail as well.
let the new adventures begin! .. < J

I am wondering if the Estonian dog hair socks could be used for summer hiking and if they are durable for that?? Or are they just a winter sock?
I understand how you are filling. This is not easy to walk with dogs who are good pulling, working dogs. We did not manage to get our dogs not to pull on a leash, because they are so excited to pull. So we are using bikes. :) Some years ago in summer we went also to Estonia with our malamutes with bikes. But then we were driving during night and resting during the day. It was so fun :)
I do run Linkka with bike as well, much easier for me indeed 😀 Driving during night time is a good idea, it does get too warm during day time!
Can I ask what you wear to sleep in - especially legs? For top I am happy with merino T-shirt, thermal long sleeve, fleece zip up and down jacket ... but what about pants? Everything seems either very heavy or not warm enough or designed for use while hiking rather than sleeping
I sleep in only one layer of thermals. If you feel the need to put on more layers you need a warmer sleeping bag.
I have a 500k trail in a few days. Researching your series for those overlooked tips and reminders. Leaving my dogs at home however😆❤️
Wow, good luck!
I’m curious : do you think that if someone were ever to try to harm you, the dogs would come to your defense? Just wondering…LOVE your videos!
I would bet Odezza wouldn't do anything but Linkka might, haven't had the occasion to see her reaction (fortunately 😄)
@@MaiuLunekund And let us hope you never have to find out!
thanks but I hoped for more Information about the trail
I 😍 Maiu😍😙😙😙😗😗😗
But i would like to see videos from the campervan build. It doesn't matter that there are lots of them on RUclips. I wanna see what you come up with.
Maybe I'll do a van tour video for you then... I haven't filmed the conversion process itself.
Had to stop the video because of swearing, sorry.
You have tough pants.
I'm assuming you've quit RUclips?
If you assume you make an ass out of you and me ;)
