I remembered watching a documentary about Bill Gates which he described his reading habit with retreats and writing abundantly on the side of the book of his thoughts. Really internalizing and processing what he is reading. What is your process identifying interesting ideas to revisit & synthesize after reading/listening to a book?
Hey thanks mate! Since I’m listening 80% of the time in Audible, I use the ‘clip’ button, it places a bookmark and then I can write or dictate a note. Later I can pull up all my saved clips and it helps me jump around and see the context and what I was thinking. For paper books, I use little post-its as bookmarks and large post-its to write longer thoughts. Depending on the book I will highlight and underline as well.
