Hey Icy, would love a "The Fundamentals" series where you go through games, explaining all your decisions, where the enemies are spawning ect. using gears fundamentals. Love your videos man
Think a video explaining when to use back A's, when to use up A's and wrap shots at the right times would be a good video. Basically a video about defensive plays and offensive plays would be good for the community. Especially the casuals and the newbies. Just a suggestion for an idea different to your usual content. Love watch your content regardless though ❤
Talking about the game mode Control specifically
I like the sound of that.
I can't tell you how many times that me or my team would kill the entire enemy team just for them to spawn on next and we lose. Yeah sometimes killing everybody doesn't help.
Mercy is the worst offender. Next time, I'm rotating way early and blocking their spawn, if thats even gonna work.
Control is so bad sometimes, its barely even competitively viable
@@EA_SP0RTCENTERwell yeah lol, that's what we normally do. Sometimes we just get a little overzealous and then well they can have time to set up. Of course you got to leave at least 15-20 seconds before hills up

Been missing execution as the main game mode since gears 2. I feel you about the beauty of it. Also clutching with the boys all watching and sharing the moment.

Your thoughts on control vs execution are 100 accurate. Alot of ppl couldn't and wouldn't hang in Execution.

I mean kills look nice on the score board but I've lost games where I have 50 plus kills and the guys on the enemy team have less than 30. If the team cant hold the hill you don't win so kills really don't matter if that doesn't translate into map control and points

I like this type of play style because it shows others that u don’t have to be a movement demon or insane reaction shot guy to be good at the game. USE UR BRAIN, COMMON SENSE. The game is very simple to understand and many people don’t get that

Hey Icy, do you know how the Gears 5 matchmaking system works? Does it match based on rank? KD? W/L ratio? Will it give you lower kd teammates if you have a high kd or pair you with other high kd opponents?

I cannot count how many times I have used the boom shot at point blank range and not gotten the kill but when it’s used on me it’s like the boom shot gets amplified times 5 and has a huge radius of splash damage the size of the map and even further

Great video icy I love listening to your experience on what moves to make really helps me a lot when I am playing control I am getting better as I go on .
I think the timing of kills is more important than just killing aimlessly like for instance holding downs so they respawn slower or leaving the enemy at the old hill instead of killing them and then they flip to the new ring

Playing execution is why I really never got into this game competitively I understand it's super skill-based I just hate not being able to play for like a whole round if I die I think there should be at least one objective mode in the competitive rotation I really hope community or who's ever running circuits can find a happy medium between execution and a perfect objective-based mode Halo has capture-the-flag oddball Slayer and like 1 or 2 more modes in comp i think gears could use some variation

Respawn game modes ruined gears and it all started from gow 3 TDM, escalation was the only thing to bring it back with having consistent spawn sides.
Kills don’t matter at all. Assist damage and low deaths matter. If you have 50 kills with 2 assists. Lower damage and 50 deaths, you are just shaking your ass. But unfortunately a lot of gears kids think kills are king

How do you back A like you do and not jump and roll back words every time I don't somehow it makes me roll backwards and I just push back on the stick and shoot but I roll backwards alot and I notice like you don't lagg bad either I have gotten to where I lagg alot when I gbasher fight now but I'm guessing it's my internet living in ND I just get okay internet sucks
