Just a heads, the octohedron 4x4 is far easier to solve if you dont think about it as a 4x4 and instead solve side by side. If you do it that way there are no parities and yuo dont have to worry about centers either

The 3x3 Rhombic Dodecahedron is more interesting than the "regular" dodecahedron you show because it has 12 faces but only 6 colours so some pieces may be mistaken without having a clue and it brings interesting cases at the end of the resolution. I'm sure you'll like it !
I have the Octahedron. I wouldn't say it's exactly the same as a 3x3 solve as you don't have to worry about corner orientation, but you do have to worry about center orientation.

The 3x3 octahedron: I have a puzzle very similar, except for it's a shapeshifter in the shape of a rhombus on all sides. There are two large corner pieces equivalent to the size of one face minus one layer on that side. (For instance, the blue face at 3:03.) I've spent over a year trying to solve it and I'm so close. Everything is solved, except for one of the large corner pieces is twisted due to a parity error. Do you think you could find the exact name of this puzzle and perhaps do a solve tutorial?

I think especially the Dodecahedron seems harder in solved position than scrambled, because It looks a bit like a barreled on all edged 3x3
