So, you went on to tell us that you used a half inch drill even though three eights would’ve been fine and then didn’t even proceeded to tell us what size drillbit. Also, just a heads up, The, steel shaft cuts amazingly with a copper pipe tubing cutter. I was able to make one for the PVR, but these damn quest controllers have stubby little handles.
just made it, tips for anyone without a grinder, find a cheap wood or driver with a carbon fiber shaft, easy to cut with a hand saw. also I subbed out scrap wood for just wrapping a whole ass roll of duct tape around it lmao
Can always drill a hole on the side and run the sting through the middle, out the side for extra security
From Belgium , many thanks !
this is brilliant. I am making the same today! thank you!
I don’t have VR, but now is a good time so i can construct this.
Fantastic!
I’m building one as we speak for the oculus 3 following this blueprint. Thank you.
i made one of these. works great. thanks for the idea.
Awesome!! Building this tomorrow. (it was 7/8 btw, not 7/16. I cant help it, im OCD, sorry :)
Any tips on calibrating? I can’t seem to get it to stay right where I want it and it ends up just going crazy when I get into a game
Trying this. I have mine made up just letting the opoxy dry. I was afraid it would fly off. Lol
Thanks brother, not willing to spend 40 bucks on a take golf club when real golf clubs are like 3 dollars at goodwill
Building one today after work

Yeah Im not like an actual pro
My club was 0.540 inches, so half inch drill works fine. I used my 17/32 (0.531) and tapered the hole slightly. 3/8 would be way to small
Save a bunch of time and just go out and buy the Dead Eye VR Driver. It's about $36 and it's weighted , so it feels like a real club!
yes, so far poor results rendering the club in the exact right place even with custom settings. Club position does not repeat every shot
I did this exact same thing and it flew out of the fitting twice
