To get marks you need consistantly very high results and the only way to achieve that is to always be in position to get as much benefit as possible. It starts from beeing in early positions to get in early free shots to then always be where the action is. You gotta preserver your HP and spend it when beneficial. So the same concept as everyone should have when playing. To get the maximum out of your game you simply cannot be inactive. The maximum damage potential is simply a dead enemy team. If you just let your team die, you will also get overrun and not get to farm damage. So I dont understand how you could argue that good players or "mark farmers" ruin the game for their team. High consistant damage almost always goes hand in hand with high win rate.

Actually i think the QB recommendation is better than skill recommendation in this case for this player. QB explains basics pretty well. The TS-5 can easily make some percentages by following QB's tips. After reaching 55% or something around this percentage, start looking up to players like skill, iyouxin, daki, kaizoo. You name them.
QB is good when you need to know how to kill or use a tank, Skill is for how to,where to and why. Skill made me a better player within a month, tactics and team matter.
I never learned from QB, he was somewhat annoying to watch. I started with Jingles and his tank reviews, then moved to SirFoch for better tank reviews and better game play, then Orzanel (he did not explained anything well, i learned some defensive positions). What gave me the most were WoTLabs articles about decision making and some post-game analysis from LemmingRush, 7even (or something like that] and Taugrim. First phase to gitgut is observing minimap and planning (works for lights and meds), second was something like learning to GTFO without sacrificing teammates too much. Other is micromanagement of close surroundings and flanking opponents without being flanked and if so escaping through least resistance. In my opinion QB never focused on stuff like that. More at basics like weakspots (and now he hits is7, mighty soviet tier 10 heavy tank, into lower plate - basically useless comment once you know it's a weak spot)
sorry but i learned much more from QB which is much more envolved in team play thinking as Skill. Both are very good players but not the same playstyle...QB dont play for its shit gunmarks like lot of other unicum players everyday made !

If I want to play this game for fun I tune into Circonflexes livestream or watch old vids of him going out golfing, although after HE nerf, it's quite hard to golf. And if I want to learn something about a random tank and how to play it, I'd watch QB.

Skill was being facetious when he said he camps the red line for marks. Just watch his videos, he knows how to play the game. You can't mark a tank by camping the red line. You have to be involved in the battle and do everything you can to win.

I have seen him pull back out of something i wouldnt notice and he farms damage and goes out with a bang or he mops up where as i would have been stubborn to sit there. I have also seen him out of nowhere realize when to put pressure and he just dominates. He is very good and great awareness.

I knew that lower-tier games have a lower skill level, and that's where I felt my place is. Only after I passed 50% win rate I started to move to higher tiers. The last time I played i had 20k+ games, a 52.5% win rate and WN8 around 1.6k, but i still thought that my skill level is not good enough for tier 9-10
Tbh I'd recommend QB over S4L or others (maybe with the exception iyouxin) for someone starting out with WoT. All these guys grind for 3 Marks and look absolutely miserable half the time. QB's videos make the game look much more enjoyable.

The tank is paper, you can't do anything else but camp with 50B. It's too large and not fast enough to play like a true medium and you can't take hits like a heavy so there are specific things you can and shoud do with 50 b, otherwise you are mincemeat in the first 2 minutes of the game.
If you camp with a 50b you should uninstall tbh There’s much more you can do besides camping in a 50b, it doesn’t even do that well because of the gun accuracy You can trade with other tanks. You take one hit and slam 1600 damage into them. Good trades. Hitpoints are a tool to be used and people don’t seem to understand that and they play like they don’t want to scratch their precious tank

It is frustrating that WG design a game within a game and neither serves the other, marking a tank can lead to players not helping their team, I’ve witnessed it so many times, they are afraid not to get that last little bit of dmg so they hang back to eek out every shot at the detriment of their team. It’s the same as the missions, they make players jump through hoops and it definitely impacts the game negatively. I guess as long as UnIcums are happy WG is happy though.
Many players are children, handicapped or chronically ill people. And many play games because they cannot do normal things, are depressed or unemployed. So there is a high risk you play with not the most strategically advanced pro's. Maybe your team mate is 7 years old and has blood cancer ? Or he is 68 years old with amputated legs and smokes 60 a day. Think before you flame people, or just ask them: "Why are you camping base ??????" 1: "sorry i just had a heart attack" 2: "My PC lost internet connection" 3: "i am literally retarded due to a car crash" 4: "sorry bro, i am drunk and forgot i started a game"
If you already know how to play well in this game and want to be better you watch skill. If you are new to the game and need to know how to play this game watch others.
Actually this is quite untypical for Skill..usually he looks for mistakes in his own gameplay and blames others quite less frequently than many other streamer
Acctually, to improve yourself the fastest way possible really is to watch other good players. For example i went from orange player to green/purple in under 1000 battles (i mean on tanks i played before and after watching Skill), however my overall stats stayed orange because account history but every new tank stats was pretty good assuming my account average and also i obtained my second mark for the first time thanks to Skill, yaaay :) . But even though im not playing this never ever again, i just dont want to pay and playing for free is big pain in the a$$, you also cant have same equiment etc but thats another kind of story...

It is frustrating that WG design a game within a game and neither serves the other, marking a tank can lead to players not helping their team, I’ve witnessed it so many times, they are afraid not to get that last little bit of dmg so they hang back to eek out every shot at the detriment of their team. It’s the same as the missions, they make players jump through hoops and it definitely impacts the game negatively. I guess as long as UnIcums are happy WG is happy though.

Many players are children, handicapped or chronically ill people. And many play games because they cannot do normal things,
are depressed or unemployed. So there is a high risk you play with not the most strategically advanced pro's.
Maybe your team mate is 7 years old and has blood cancer ? Or he is 68 years old with amputated legs and smokes 60 a day.

Actually this is quite untypical for Skill..usually he looks for mistakes in his own gameplay and blames others quite less frequently than many other streamer

Acctually, to improve yourself the fastest way possible really is to watch other good players. For example i went from orange player to green/purple in under 1000 battles (i mean on tanks i played before and after watching Skill), however my overall stats stayed orange because account history but every new tank stats was pretty good assuming my account average and also i obtained my second mark for the first time thanks to Skill, yaaay :) . But even though im not playing this never ever again, i just dont want to pay and playing for free is big pain in the a$$, you also cant have same equiment etc but thats another kind of story...
