    This perfect! For years, when going on long motorcycle trips in 🇳🇴 I love the exped matts but only the inflating part every evening was what made me tired. I am going to make a review about this I think. Great stuff!

    Just ordered one. These types of inflatable mats are widly used in roof top tents aswell. A Deflate option would be great. And, an option to have it connected all the time. So, a pipe, so you can position in on the floor of the tent so it's not in the way from pillows etc, and on that pipe a check valve, so it can be connected to the mat all the time. I'll build one myself :)

  • @kevinklasman

    For me, a deflate feature is far more important than inflate, as the Exped Megamat Duo self-inflates pretty well (I would top it off with this device if I had it). I too use the mat in an RTT and do not want to crawl around up there to manhandle it to get the air out. Without an effective way to deflate the Megamat I may choose to sell it. Too bad, as I love the mat.

    As other reviewers have suggested, to bad you can’t add the adapters on the intake port. This would have bin much needed to deflate the EXPED MEGAMAT.

      The blue nozzle attachment is designed for use with all of the modern "flat valve" style valves on our mats, whereas the malleable piece of clear tubing (aka the "Universal Valve Adapter") is meant to bridge the gap between that new flat valve diameter and our old "twist valve" style valves found on our older (pre-2010) mats.

    • @ExpedLLC
      @ExpedLLC  Год назад +1

      Thankfully, it is not possible to overfill your mat with just the Widget alone. Only high-powered air pumps or excessive pumping with the hand pump could get the mat to the point where something ruptures, but you'll be able to tell when the mat is overfilled as it will start to look warped long before something "pops". It's not possible to add additional pressure with the Widget because of its design.

    • @ExpedLLC
      @ExpedLLC  2 года назад

      Thank you for the question. Because there are different generations of mats with other brands, we can't provide any official answer for compatibility. We do know that the Widget works with all EXPED mats. If the other brand mat uses twist valve technology, the Universal Valve Adapter will likely work to attach the Widget for inflation. If the other brand mat uses flat valve technology, there could be a difference in sizing, which could work, but we can't guarantee it.
