- This video marks an era for me. It was my latest video before stopping editing for 2 years, I put everything I learned.
Starting from 2011, I changed my style but I still like this one a lot, after all.
//////////////////////////////////
My last tribute (before the next (?)) to the Metal Gear Solid Saga and to a character that gave me a lot: Solid Snake.
(splendid) Music by Reuben Kee: The Legend of the Snake: Snake VS Dragon.
Clips from: Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes; Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty; Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater; Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
No clips from Portable Ops =(
I hope you like it ^^

This game captures something you can't explain, It's very human. Why do other games like COD change characters and time periods so often?? You can have a good game with a solid character like snake. (No pun intended)
Why do people always target call of duty as a negative point of view when it comes to games. Battlefield also doesn't have stable characters like call of duty does (captain price) or metal gear franchise does with snake. I don't see people complaining about battlefield
@@ultrajabz Probably because they fucking made Gaz black
There isn't a series who contributed more to my life as a gamer than Metal Gear. A compelling storyline, addictive gameplay, but above all, belieable characters. There isn't anybody wo have more personallity and charm than the cast in Metal gear Solid.
When I go old and forgetful, there is one series that will always be with me, and that is the Metal Gear series. I can safely say with my hand frimly placed on my heart, that the Metal Gear saga is the best video game series ever!
Agreed, 110%
Metal Gear Solid might be complicated, but when you think about it, it's all so simple.
Big Boss, a legendary hero, and a beast that killed it's own emotions, and left to suffer with only one of them. Cloned, he had 2 "sons". Solid Snake, and Liquid Snake. Solid was the perfect copy of Big Boss, and he was trained by his own father each day. Big Boss did what his mentor, The Boss, wanted him to do. He killed her. His Joy. She said that one must carry on the fight. "One must live, one must die". That's Solid's life. Liquid and Solid were fighting on for the rest of their lives, even when he met Liquid Ocelot, Snake still fought him. Liquid Ocelot isn't excactly Snake's brother, but his mind still forces him to call him "brother", since he is technically a part of him. In 2014 Big Boss died, and there was nothing left to do. Snake didn't have to fight his ass off, anymore, he didn't have to destroy Metal Gears, he was a free man. Even if he didn't have much time, he did have something to fight for. Big Boss said that they fight when they're needed. Just like Snake. They fight for themselves. Also like Snake. Each game is connected to the other.
I'm pretty sure Solidus was the prefect clone of big boss not Solid
In my opinion this video was one of the greatest works of you !
Thanks! Indeed, it was.. a very long time ago °^° Now I've improved.. just a little bit.
Keep going :)
What I really like about Solid is that he always fought for what he believed in, respecting his enemies and their insights on war and life. He, although unknown to him, fullfilled The Boss' insight during his whole life until the point he was done fighting, something Big Boss struggled his whole life to achieve, only to perceive his mistakes minutes prior to his death. And he spent MGS2 speaking about what to pass on, when he was passed on and took down the Patriots and liberated the world.
Easily one of the most epic (and most epic I've seen yet) tributes of all time,Metal Gear Solid was/is one of the greatest video game series ever known,I can't stand people who can't see the beauty in these games, and maybe it's because I find the sound of his psyche going down hilarious (byooooh),but I found the ending to be very funny, great job!it's nice to see SOMEONE appreciates games with inginuity, beauty and are captivating, unlike most games these days...
its amazing that, not only with this video, but the entire series has music that fits the scenes, and overall game like the end music perfectly
i cant believe that Revben Kee was only 23 years old. so many years of musical genius gone.
i would say it really is one of the best MGS tributes ever
so far that is 1 of the best mgs tributes ive seen
This video says a lot even after MGS doesn't have a definite ending! Good Job!
Devilfox92, your name is burned inside my head, your are a god, i am a diehard MGS fan, I cried for a half an hour after seeing this. The memories came flooding back. Great job
Solid snake is my all time hero. Ive have been his loyal fan since ive been 13. And untill the bitter end
Def. one of THE greatest tributes i've seen
I just love solid snake as a character. He's so cold, that what makes him cool I guess
I agree.
I think out of all of the clones he's the most like Big Boss. I also agree that the main difference between them is the big choices they had to make. It's like Big Boss says to Snake himself in MGS4: "Maybe things would've been different if you'd been there in my place."
It's been 13 years and this beautiful video only has 95k views
after all these years and still the best mgs vid on yt love it everytime. Foooooooooooox!!!.. R.I.P grey fox a legend.
OHHHHH right now I remember!! Thanks! It's just that I've never played Twin Snakes because I don't, and won't ever have a Gamecube.
that was the best MGS tribute i've ever seen
still the best mgs vid i've seen on youtube i love it just every time i see it still feels like the first. :)
Every time I feel exhausted in the military training, I remind some of the situations Snake was through.. And it gives me the energy to go on.
Just something to point out. Reuben Kee, the artist behind this song, died a few years ago in a boating accident. He was an excellent musician, martial artist, and designed the best few MUGEN characters (Evil Ryu and Evil Ken) ever. RIP Reu.
best metal gear solid video ever 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10
i can honestly say this metal gear tribute is the best so far rate ∞/10 ^_^
Thank you for your MGS videos, they mean a lot to me, since the games are a big part of my life.
AWESOME! I heard the song long ago, but you succeeded on merging it with the most epic cutscenes of the saga, congrats!
probably the best iv seen good job man love it
"anybody got a smooke?" lol
This is the best tribute video I've ever seen...
Serisoulsly? still only 1k? cmon this is like the best mgs tribute ever!
snake is hands down the coolest character ever !
Ancora grazie collega! *_*
it's the best mgs tribute ever!!!
nice job!!
"Boss, you say there only room for one snake.......... No, the world would be better off without snakes...."
love this every single time i watch it best mgs video ever made fooooooooooooooox!
Commento breve: ABSOLUTELY FUCKING AWESOME!
Commento lungo:
Eccezzzzzionale, il tuo miglior lavoro secondo me. Ora capisco perchè ci hai messo così tanto a farlo! XD 100/5
"If we make it through this... I'll tell you."
Dude that was absolutely amazing, I don't know how you managed to get the voices so clearly in the video, it was perfect. Your editing was fantastic and I enjoyed it throughout, 5/5 excellent work dude.
lol "anyone got a smoke?" 5/5 very nice
THIS IS BEYOND EPIC!
I just noticed this was released on my birthday of 2009! Wow.
i love the music all the way through!!!!!!
the irony of the last 15 seconds is that theres a no smoking sign right in front of snake xD
That is some grade-A trollin'. I'm stealing that one.
The best Anti Hero in the history of Heroes
that was great... and the ending was hilarious!
dude that was so epic that hideo kojima should hire you to personal tribute creator
best series ever theres not been one i didnt like!
Austin Deleon Snake did not felt same regret like BB did towards Boss. It was BB in the first place who sent Snake to suicide mission. Snake was traumatized because he finds out BB is his father and kills him.
not only that but BB was the one who thought him everything cqc how to fight and he tryed to teach him how to think like BB but snake Was less like big boss and more like naked snake
This is one of the greatest Metal Gear tribute vids ever made--easily in the top five (andeh22's Showtime will always hold the number one slot, though you give him a run for his money). Heck, this is one of the best tribute vids ever, period.
The one thing I didn't like was at the end--the stutter effect you used with Snake's "LIQUIIIIID!" could have been done without. Once was enough. But masterful job, all around.
You were influenced by the other Legend of the Snake vid on here, weren't you?
''everything need to know from metal gear'' Thats about 30 hours long video we are talking about.
Theres a thing about apples that I love.
The MGS series is one of those that almost no matter how many times you remake it it doesn't get old each squeal or prequel is all ways enveloping it is with out a doubt one game the could very well continue to live on as long as Hideo continues to direct them it can't go wrong
@DevilFox92
people cant read what u expect. this video deserves way more views, its one of the best videos iv seen anywhere
2 Words
Epic Video
DONT DELETE IT PLS !!!
Justo AWESOME ! Love this ! Greetings from Argentina Devil FoX !
Sorry to comment this late but that's perfect tribute.
"AnyBody got a smoke?"
Who can say it better?
My brother and my older cousin used to play this together, I useally just watched. But i wished i'd played them my self :( Such a good game, just the little iv seen and heard, just that's enough to make it a real good game. Hopefully i will get my hands on all of them, and play them out
dude, you make my day!
one word
EPIC
lol ending is the best, Nice video keep it up!
I also was never interested in other peoples lives. Snake forever
Really good Video =) made of the worlds best stealth games ever +++++ thx for sharing this
this needs so much more views too...
That would be amazing!
Excellent video!!! keep up the good work
omg love this video awesome job
You are not the only one who said me that about the ending. I agree, it could be better without the repetitions. Anyway, I tried it, of course, but it was even worst according to me ._. So I decided to leave it..
No I wasn't influenced by that video...not for the editing, at least. Only for the song, I knew Snake VS Dragon thanks to that video.
About Showtime: damn I love that video! That song...simply awesome! *Q*
Maybe one day I'll make my own version of that video.
A very good tribute to a legendary Soldier.
Seen it (x)
Faved it (x)
Loved it (x)
Btw , "Anybody got a smoke ?" ;0)
I know but he's his father.
He's important as much as Snake.
In a tribute like that, it would have been stupid to not mention the most important people who taked part in Snake's life ^^
Amazing :D Totally Loved it..so many awesome moments in this video.
I feel like playing MGS3
Bel lavoro ragassuolo! ^^
Anche se ci sono alcune clip che non mi convincono (quella prima di octopus, per me, è troppo lunga per essere quasi consequenziale; la famigerata -asd- ripetizione di liquid) è decisamente fantastico! ;D
ovviamente 5/5! ^^
Outstanding editing my friend
PERFECT!!!!!!!!
if promoted right u might win a few awards for this 5/5
BROTHER!!!It's been a longtime!
Awesome video dude. One of your best works. How about an hd remake? I believe that this particular has to because very simple it's incredible.
@jonaskram That is indeed true and i believe it is the same for most metal gear solid fans. I grew up with metal gear, Now i have seen the closing of the saga, all the pieces falling into place. And i must admit the adventure was one worthing seeing end.
AMAZING
Man this is epic!!!
these are some of the best games ever made to bad his story is over =( and btw dude nice video its perfect with music/cutscenes
Im a 29 year old man with a wife and kids and have no problem saying thhat DEVILFOX is my HERO

(i think devilfox can see that im a huge fan of this video...) yay 2k now! but we must keep advertising!
Amazing work!
anyone think kojima knew how much these games would effect people when he originally began making them?
only a true fan of mgs can make a video like this, :D liked!
Looks like my advertising campaign is working well! =)
Just like old times
amazing
Its very good indeed.
"anybody got a smake?" if it was said by anyone else it wouldent be funny at all lol. snake rules!!
R.I.P Snake(david) Big Boss (naked snake) The Boss and everyone else in the MGS series
thanks for your interest. Quality is not that bad anyway, I did a remake of my videos in 480p, compared to them this is a pearl.
pure awesome great job
@TheMgs01 oh I'm glad to hear this :3
Nice Movie Of solid snake good work DevilFox92, every hero deserves Tribute..!even if they are not real The Deserver it GOOD JOB MAN RESPECT...!!
big boss and solid snake made the same choice... their mission was to kill their mentor...the executed their mission after feeling betrayed and regretted their choice later...both left their government to pursue what they each thought was right...
