About scientific articles: it’s so much worse than you think. Basically, not only do researchers pay to apply to get their articles into any research journal, and pay especially large sums of money for the most well known, they are also extremely expensive to buy and access. Most universities pay several hundreds of grands to allow their students to access articles from only a limited selection of journals, and those are subscriptions models too. Plus, science rn is basically a publishing rush. If you’re not published, you won’t get any employment. So no, money you pay to the journal will absolutely not cover any kind of research that is shown in the articles. Oh and btw, reviewers for those articles? Also not paid. There were a lot of "incidences" at our school. I mean they even had a picture of one of the students getting arrested in our yearbook(face blurred out) and because it happened so often most of us didn't even know who it was. But the story, about the weed and the principal's son one, made me think of this one. One year, some of the popular kids, as a prank, put this alternative girl as homecoming queen to embarrass her(in their mind she was going to get no votes and they could then laugh at her for having no friends). Well we all ended up voting her into winning the crown(I think they underestimated how many alternative kids there were or were stupid enough to think we still would vote for them because they were the popular ones and not her)

1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
½ cup milk chocolate chips
½ cup mini chocolate chips
To heat-treat your flour so it is safe to use: Place flour in a microwave-safe dish and cook for 1 minute and 15 seconds, stirring it every 15 seconds. Set aside.
Beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer in a large bowl until creamy. Beat in vanilla extract and salt. Add heat-treated flour; mix until a crumbly dough forms. Stir in milk until dough is just combined; fold in milk chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips.

Actually it’s not just the eggs you have to worry about, but also flour. Raw flour itself can also contain bacteria like salmonella. So if you want to make edible cookie dough, you can use and consume most raw eggs (relatively) fine, just make sure you bake your flour!

About scientific articles: it’s so much worse than you think. Basically, not only do researchers pay to apply to get their articles into any research journal, and pay especially large sums of money for the most well known, they are also extremely expensive to buy and access. Most universities pay several hundreds of grands to allow their students to access articles from only a limited selection of journals, and those are subscriptions models too. Plus, science rn is basically a publishing rush. If you’re not published, you won’t get any employment.
So no, money you pay to the journal will absolutely not cover any kind of research that is shown in the articles. Oh and btw, reviewers for those articles? Also not paid. The system is basically ultra skewed and definitely not the greatest. Anyways, all articles can be found for free online if you try long enough
