device are badly constructed, they dont tell us baterry capacity left, you get only range how many current resistor spend util voltage drop down at set,, also you can try discharge with 10 ohm resistor and you will get another Ah value
I don't really understand your comment, anyway the capacity of Li-ion cells variate with the load (bigger load=lower capacity), you can test the capacity until the cut-off voltage with the load that you expect to use. usually circuits are designed to read the voltage drop without corrections, so the measured capacity is accurate to what you will probably be able to use
There is a fake Chinese knock off of a legit Chinese made product. The fake ZB2L3 board is way off but the real one is accurate. It's hard to tell the real vs the fake they look alike, The real one has ZB2L3 screen printed in the upper left corner and a extra smt resistor on the board. The one in the video you posted is the fake one without ZB2L3 screen printed.
@@troytaylor1913 device calculator may not work precision and correctly , but is good to check full charge battery how many capacity resistor will eat, then you can make camparations between bateries for test wich one is good for use
I'm using a switch with four values of resistors to make easier for testing 9 volt, AA, 18650, 26650. If put too much load out of range on a AA battery this circuit gives a Err3. ZB2L3 is for checking capacity only not internal resistance. I thinking about getting this to add to it checking for resistance. If the battery is going bad the internal resistance inside the battery gets lower. Bad thing can happen if the battery gets a internal short. You can figure it out using ohms law but this is easier. www.ebay.com/itm/26650-18650-Lithium-Li-ion-Battery-Tester-with-Case-ZB2L3-LCD-Volt-Current-Meter/263983513157?var=563500892927
Is capacity measurement correct or do i need a constant current (variable resistor) for that ? How does this device measure capacity anyway ?
It has some microprocessor to calculate the capacity from variable current and voltage
what resistor will I need with this tester for testing a 14.1v bank
5 ohm to 16 ohm.
More than 10 watts.
Why you dont put into 2.5V min ?
Sir that doesn’t add much of capacity because after 3.3v the voltage drops very fast.
@@ABID5exactly the answer am looking for thanks
The reason its only showing little result, beacuse you set minimum voltages to high, try use 1,7v or 1,5v
This may kill the li-ion of course, we Shouldn’t cross below 2.5v
@@ABID5 Then test it upto 2.6V capacity will be almost double
Why if alway error reading ?? Are need adjust for P ??

Ordered one, thx 😀
These are really good stuffs. You can replace the resistor with any load and measure the current. Thus it works as a current meter.
@@ABID5 I have a lot of 5W 2ohm cement load resistors. I guess it will do just fine.
Cool
awesome👍
