It's truly captivating watching you live out every Bionicle fan's dream and reveal so many pieces throughout Bionicle's history! How generous of Christian to not only invite you there but also the preparation of materials on his end to make it as fun as possible!
If any fan should obtain Christian Fabers Lego Archive, it should be you. A dedicated high affinity fan that is part of the community and showcases everything Lego related, especially Bionicle, without just storing it in a private display. You made history with many of your projects (development videos, collection videos, contests, etc.) and this will also make history.
Definitely. The only person who I believe has a collection that actually rivals his is the owner of the Bionicle Archive, though he does not really have any online presence.
Watching Christian blow away Chris with his generosity is amazing and seeing Chris drool over the amazing collection is wonderful 😊 This video is fantastic, you were very lucky helping unbox and arrange this awesome collection!
Bless Mr.Faber for offering us insights into some of the coolest stories ever made and for making our childhood amazing. Also the casual drop that the great beings were humans and the hero factory lore is insane.
In the time before time the team DuckBricks descended from the US to meet Christian Faber, the creator, in Denmark. A collaboration began as together they uncovered and preserved the history of our favourite theme. For this is the way of the BIONICLE.
Just finished watching, and what a ride this one was. The excitement, joy and hype on display here just radiates not just in you, but in Christian Faber as well. And of course all the interesting info, super hyped about all the Bionicle and HF stuff especially. But also those prototype Exo-Force models are absolutely insane. So much inspiring stuff. Thanks so much for bringing all this to us and all your efforts Chris.
@@DuckBricks Hmmm might have to look into that. A bit hard to make out all the details with the picture we have, but I could try to build a MOC based on it at least... 😄
This is amazing. I love that you can tell Chris' heart-rate must be high this entire time just from the way he's loudly breathing the whole video. 1:02:43 I have that Technic set with the two punching mechs, have the box for it as well. Unfortunately it isn't complete, the green Technic figure is missing along with several pieces of the green mech. My gramma got it at a garage sale and gave it to me one day when we were visiting them, was probably one of the best surprise gifts I'd ever gotten.
He is right about the amount of effort you put in popularization and presentation of history behind Lego products and I am personally grateful for having such enthusiastic member of community. After 6 months watching your videos I can't wait to complete my hot toys collection so collecting Lego will became more affordable lol. I am convinced now to have all sets from my childhood be nicely displayed with good lighting and this is your fault. Thank you for amazing video and congratulations on this insane trip!
Bionicle, Drome Racers, Aquazone... this guy did all my favorite childhood stuff. ❤ The green roboriders wheel is no prototype btw - its from Set 8000 Pit Droid.
2:00:18 "who are the great beings?... it must be us" OOOOOOH I FEEL VINDICATED IN THIS CHILIS TONIGHT this whole video was incredible, theres so much going on, you both seem to have had the best time of your lives
In the styleguide, the color guides are Pantone colors and then it also shows CMYK values. They still translate all the internal LEGO colors to Pantone and other values for licensing partners.
Mann, I'm experiencing this vicariously through you, I'd be drooling over all this the same as you! Still kicking myself for not buying that '01 banner back when I had the chance!
I really thought that Chris was going to faint at several moments throughout this video. What a cool experience for him! And how cool of Christian to acknowledge his biggest fan in the way that he did!
The past week ive returned to my childhood with this channel. And wow, it was even deeper than i thought. I recalled all the sets ive built and still have my OC still. I want to accumulate them once again, and maybe give my OC a retouch
That was hands down the best video I've ever seen. I didn't even notice it was almost 3 hours long. The 2nd camera wasn't necessary though and was messing up a lot.
Really jealous you got to see those racers Ferrari promo posters/art! The Lego F1 Pit Stop set was one of the very first lego sets I remember getting at age 3 or 4.. genuinely cool to know that these exist because I would have never known otherwise, thank you duck bricks for arranging this.
I’d be so hyped to see Hero Factory concepts and lore dropped. I remember when it came out I knew there was some real potential for a grand story but Lego kinda dropped the ball on the story. It’s so cool seeing its connections to bionicles vibes
Wow, this is the equivalent of getting a golden ticket to Wonka's chocolate factory! But you guys so deserve it- I'm glad you all had such a great time!
If he worked on Aquazone, he has my thanks. The submarines there made my childhood magical. Always loved Bionicle as well, but Aquazone was my favorite hands down.
I wasn't really into BIONICLE that much myself, nevertheless I had different ones throughout the years. I remember everyone having them, even people who usually did not play with LEGO it was such a hype. Knowing BIONICLE saved LEGO makes this video very special and also seeing the passion you have for the theme is heartwarming.
2:09:50 "This is so rare, the red pakari!" Dude, the Pakari has some of the most common recolors, the only ones more common being the Kakamas. If any masks are rare it's most of the Kaukaus.
This is awesome. When worlds biggest lego collector saying these you need to watch: "never seen it before." "not see it sealed" "what is this?" "so cool!"

I hope he really understands what a profound effect his creation has had on us fans that grew up with it. It is more than a toy, Bionicle is like a state of mind
One of my favourite types of videos is watching people truly nerd out. There's nothing purer than watching someone just completely turn into a babbling mess over something they love.
such an amazing wealth of lego history! I do wish the video was edited a little better, there is some repeat footage and other issues. Maybe a shorter re-cut version can be released later! Congrats and thank you for sharing this!
Extremely awesome video brought back some good times, its a shame a lot of the promo stuff is and was often destroyed or tipped in skips back in the day
This is so awesome, kinda of my dream except in my dream you would be able to buy multiple copies of everything that existed in Bionicle including prototypes and concepts and you can find them in stocks in supermarkets and GameStop
Hearing Duck just hyperventilating through the whole first 30 mins from seeing everything sealed is so funny to me, man is truly living in fantasy land 👀 📸

Probably the most refreshing thing about this for me is that Christian is as much of a fan as all of us!!

Yo what's up

Hail Denmark!
OMG, Faber using the stairs backwards in honor of Duckbricks. That's AMAZING and proof that he really does value you and your content
Chris is truly a kid in a candy store. His giddiness is so contagious, I had a huge grin on my face throughout.
I'm not even a huge bionicle fan but same, captivating the entire way through, the enthusiasm was infectious.

Can't believe I watched the whole thing! The amount of work he did, a great artist too! Chris' expression says it all!
This is insane, it's so cool that he was willing to share all of this with you and he seems like such a nice man, you're literally living the dream

Hail Denmark! I can’t wait to comb through the scans myself when they’re up. I can’t imagine feeling those pages for myself.
Im amazed that Faber wanted to give this all away, I would give literally anything for a prototype Zaktan
I love LEGO Aquazone, so seeing that store banner is so cool! I still can't believe LEGO didn't make their first underwater theme until 1995!
1:15:00 One piece from the Rahkshi finds it's way into the Style Guide

Interesting to finally get a face to the brand. This guy just casually carried Lego for almost a decade before they stomped his world into the void.

Did you ask Christian about the lime joints and why some Metru canisters have glitter?
Lime disease turned out to be a problem with microscopic bubbles in the plastic mix, possibly endemic to the chemicals in the lime paint.
