Playback, they did a slight remixing of their original voices and dubbed it over the real performance. You can hear John's live voice in a couple of places.
да на концерте они не поют и не играют - звучит фонограмма + но все-равно ЭТО ВЕЩЬ ! Слава Богу - Рок жив "playback,he is not singing" and no one plays the guitar, keyboard or drums, but this is a great Studio band !.rock is alive thank God!
+Therese Rustad No, those "things" in their ears are called in-ear monitors. They are controlled by a side stage Front of House guy. They allow the musicians on stage to do three things: 1. Hear what the audience is hearing, 2. Control who the musician wants to hear more or less of (thanks to the FOH guy), and 3. Move around the stage freely without being hindered or tripped up by guitar cables. They aren't listening to the song so as not to forget the lyrics. If they were to do that, they would sound a mess because they would each be listening to the same song at different times. No one would be on the same beat. Also, if you forget the lyrics on stage, you just forget them. However, big touring acts who play 2-3 hour sets have begun using a little invention to help alleviate that problem. It's simply a small screen by the foot of the singer with the lyrics scrolling on it. It's discrete and can be turned on and off at any time. In regards to this video, they are physically playing the song. But you can tell where John's live voice and studio voice patch in and out. Just listen to 1:50-2:40. They overdubbed the studio recording of his voice for the majority of it, and you can tell that his live voice patches back in at 1:57 and 2:35. John's a good singer, but he's not always that good live.
2:47 and that ending (3:20)was EPIC!!!!
