My aunt passed away last Sunday… we burried her this afternoon. She was a lyric singer at the opera…. This song was the last of the ceremony today…. She lived surrounded by applauses, she left surrounded by applauses… so emotional.
This wrecked me; Nessun Dorma was my father's favorite. I miss him so terribly ten years on, but every time I hear this it brings him alive again, if only for a few precious minutes. Thank you for this wonderful performance!
Maybe they simply have no interest in it. That’s how I was many years ago, I would’ve simply walked past it, it just wasn’t my thing. Even if I had liked the singing and the music, I didn’t like it enough to stop and watch/listen. Think about it. There are probably some activities or skills that many people adore, things that you might not find interesting at all.
Rafael Rojas and Luciano Pavarotti are the only renditions of Nessun Dorma that very literally bring me to tears EVERY SINGLE TIME I listen. The passion, th power, the heights all combine in a heavenly blend. I'm glad this lives on.
It is impossible for me to understand how anyone can simply ignore the beauty of this and pass by without stopping to enjoy it. Yet, it also helps me see why so many stupid and terrible things happen in this world. His voice is marvellous.
I know! Some people are in their own world. This is a breathtaking performance. But then I see someone that surprises me in the crowd watching on who makes up for all the ones who just walk on by like in the flash mob performance of Do-Re-Mi at the Antwerp train station when the camera caught a young man in the background who looked like a biker (no offense in the least, just the longish hair and the black attire) who was really liking the performance. It was the sweetest!💓🎵💓
So pure and bright. Mr. Rojas seems to perform it so casually and effortlessly. If it brings a tear to your eye, it is the real deal. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you Sir. I can only hope to someday see you perform in person.
@@justinekenny2151 Pavarotti is overrated. He's the one most people choose because he's the most "mainstream" opera singer. I will always stand by my opinion, that Pavarotti's voice wasn't good for Nessun Dorma because his voice was too bright and too light, while Nessun Dorma is suited for heavier voices. That's why I prefer Corelli's version when it comes to older singers and Kaufmann and Alagna in newer generation.
This is the first version of Nessun dorma I've ever heard. The first time I heard it, I was clapping at the screen. My GOD, what a voice! I don't know why it brings me to tears at the end, but it does. Every.single.time. Music my soul feels and my eyes can hear.
Haha I nearly clapped too. Look up "Paul Potts First Audition" if you want emotion. He was a car phone salesman that went on Britains Got Talent, no one thought he could pull this off, but my god did he!
@@alexrailton2067 Not trying to be mean or something but I find Potts' version quite bland. It's just too clear that he hasn't got any classical training and because of it his performance just hasn't clicked for me, it was a bit too shaky and his vibratto was uneven. Of course respect for him for being so brave to sing it live while not being an opera singer but I just couldn't find it enjoyable because of his poor technique.
@@jimihendrix1998 First, the performer in this flash mob is Rafael Rojas, not Paul Potts or whoever that is. Second, I've heard Pavarotti and numerous others perform this since. Mr. Rojas is still my favorite. I like who I like, period.

I've heard this piece sung by many people before. And beautifully done. But this one move me beyond tears also to know that this man is no longer with us. Rest in peace.♥️🙏
Nessun Dorma! One of my all time favorites!! Who is the man...what an absolute beautiful and strong voice, amazing! I love how he stands there with his hands casually in his jacket, like i's nothing! Amazing everyone with his magical voice, and after that he casually walks away...brilliant!!
I'm very sad to hear he left. À wonderful voice, the emotion takes me everytime I hear him sing. I have never feel more emotion listening a voice. This makes me cry every time i watch it. Absolutely beautiful. May you rest in peace Rafael.
