Now, we know that Louis has a "girlfriend" and that Zayn's been in two long relationships, so Harry could've decided to sing this song to admit that he's jealous of those girls because they are (at least in the public eye) with the guy he loves (I don't care if the boy is Zayn or Louis right now, I'm just trying to make my point).
Plus (I DON'T LIKE TO LABEL PEOPLE BUT...) Harry has recently dropped a song called "Medicine" which is about him liking girls and boys equally (Lyrics: the boys and the girls are in, I mess around with them and I'm okay with it). With this song he sort of came out as bisexual, so it's believable that he's been in a relationship with a man.
Since we are sure that Modest! has this habit to keep gay people in the closet (you can find this on Google), and keeping in mind all the things I listed before, we can affirm that Larry or Zarry could've been real at some point (or maybe they're still real, we don't know).
So, yeah, if you ship Harry with Louis or Zayn you can definatelly see a connection with Girl Crush and you can understand why Harry would dedicate the song to one of them. If you don't, you can still appreciate this amazing cover without hating on Larry/Zarry shippers (not saying you do, but.. you know what I mean).

Oh no, it's not just because of the Lyrics of his song, that's just his "coming out". Harry has NEVER said he's straight. Instead, talikg about going with men, he said to Niall (who said he wouldn't go with man) "don't knock it till you try it"... now, I don't want to be extra, but that sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Anyway, this was just another example, but there are so many hints. There's also a video of Louis saying he's gay and another one wher he's dancing with Harry and calling him "boyfriend" (antis will say that in both videos he was just drunk but, if we add them to the other proofs, than Larry is/was probably real)
As you said, Harry's never been seen with a man and that's because 1D signed a contract with Modest! (menagement) and they can't break the rules they agreed with (if they do they get kicked out and they owe them money I guess. That's what usally happens with contracts). I can just make you so many examples of how terrible Modest is... Like Mark Feehily (he was in a boyband that split up years ago) is always been gay but he couldn't come out because Modest made him sign the same contract that 1D signed. They made him "date" a girl for a long time and THEY KNEW HE WAS GAY. Now he's with a guy who was in the same boyband as him. So that's not that impossible for Zarry or Larry to be real...
So yeah, you should watch Freddieismyqueen videos, she's made lots of Larry proofs videos. Or some unexplainable Zarry moments. Personally I think Larry is a never ending love story and Zarry was something like a fisical attraction, but who knows...
