    I was incredibly impressed by how hard you styled on him 30 seconds in, but jesus christ that skydancer block -> ragdoll -> getup hact at 2:45 was nuts.

    0:30 how did you get the boxer hook into charged straight? And good shit on here

    • @N0b1e01
      @N0b1e01  5 месяцев назад

      You need Tiger hidden arts purchased for the charged straight to connect. Besides that you just practice the timing. Boxer hook has little ending lag so can actually chain multiple hooks in a juggle. The same timing can be applied to connecting the straight.

    1:40 Yo i never thought you can land a tiger drop and then do a mortal reversal, can you do it with boxing style too? awesome no damage and combo btw

      Thanks, for bosses with long mortal reversal animations you can definitely do it with Boxer. For mortal reversals with short counter windows like Kuwana's, it's a little harder to do it with Boxer counters because it doesn't come out as fast as Tiger counter.

    I'm currently trying to hitless this exact fight on NG (so no counters) and I don't have Boxer style. My launchers are inconsistent at best, as even inflicting Kuwana with Agony doesn't guarantee they'll land after a parry. Is it over for me?

    • @N0b1e01
      @N0b1e01  5 месяцев назад

      Nah, I wouldn't say it's over. Even if you're on a new game with no boxer Yagami still has a couple launchers. The bread and butter being quickstep behind the back and then Crane STT (square > triangle > triangle) like you can see in this video: ruclips.net/video/HilEPJHOtWo/видео.html. I would get Crane hidden arts if you haven't already and try to upgrade them to the max. The speed buff helps with landing launchers and the Secret of the Crane upgrade makes it so the buff persists even after you switch styles. Hope this helps somewhat.

      @@N0b1e01 I have virtually every upgrade except health and attack, Twisting Viper, and some of the more niche EX moves. The routine for hidden arts passing was easy enough to get down, and I've already beaten the game twice before!
      My main issue is that he keeps dodging my launchers. I'll have him in Agony with Crane's arts active (usu. via Snake heavy or chair kick), reset the timer with Snake's arts by parrying, and immediately LHH (or STT), but he'll stumble out of the last hit and force me to reset.
      Crane L4H2 almost always lands, but juggling Agony and hidden arts timers gives me conniptions, and he'll sometimes do his jump recovery. I know that the Sky Dancer heavy in EX w/Crane's arts will launch, but the input method tangles my fingers up trying to avoid the EX move. Crane's neutral taunt can launch him immediately after a parry, but is only usable in EX because of the atrocious end lag.
      Is it the parrying that causes him to recover and dodge the LHH? Could Agony be messing me up? Does playing at 30 FPS cause combo drops? Everything I've tried has just turned out so inconsistent; sorry for rambling on and on lol

      If you're trying to do launchers after a parry then it won't work. Parrying bosses lets you get one free hit but they'll usually block or evade the next attack. You would have to get lucky with the positioning for Crane SST to connect on the back after a parry.
      Agony actually helps in connecting launchers because it makes their dodge sluggish but it's not guaranteed.
      To be completely honest, Crane SST is never 100% consistent. It is a reliable launcher but even if you quickstep behind and attack the back, bosses will sometimes block or evade. Crane SSSSTT is not reliable if you are trying to no damage because bosses will usually block or evade after the first 2-3 hits. I would still recommend quickstep behind and then Crane SST just because it's the most reliable if you're not using Boxer.
      Sky Dancer heavy attack can be used but it only works on bosses that have moves with high endlag that give you enough time to connect the launcher. You don't have to be in EX boost for Sky Dancer to continue the combo, you have enough time to switch styles after the launcher. There is a setup for Sky Dancer launcher after a parry but it is a little weird to do because you have to walk into position and then jump backwards so that only the 2nd hit of the attack connects. I made a video to demonstrate it: ruclips.net/video/iW9aArcel3w/видео.html
      Crane taunt launcher in EX boost is honestly the only consistent setup for Crane to launch because it's literally just a launcher, but as you said you have to be in EX boost for it.
      I don't actually know if playing on 30 FPS actually causes combos to drop. I play on PS5 which locks the game at 60 FPS. People have said that the PS4 version, which is locked at 30 FPS, plays with no problems with the only complaint being the load times.
      To sum it up, if you are trying to connect the Crane finishers to launch after a parry, it won't work as they will block/dodge after the 1st hit. Quickstep behind and then Crane SST is the most reliable for launching. It is not 100% consistent but it works most of the time. If you inflict Agony it does help to connect your ground combos into launchers. However, even in agony bosses will still block after the 1st hit following a parry. If you want to go into consistent setups for launching without Boxer, you would have to look into ground combo setups which are a different topic entirely. xTeaLover7 made tutorial videos for them here: ruclips.net/video/J9iwUlpdGx0/видео.html, ruclips.net/video/7ELALSNc7mA/видео.html
      Sorry for the long reply but I hope this helps you out.
