I think Heartstopper has one of the most perfect casting ever done! Everyone nailed their roles & stayed so true and authentic to their character. As someone who’s been a longtime fan of the comics, the series made me fall in love with this story all over again!!

The casting couldn’t have been MORE perfect and the show was so true to the comics and it all was just so wonderfully overwhelming to see this, a comic that I’ve absolutely adored for such a long time be unfolded on my tv, LIVE ACTION. IN COLOR. And, AUGH, I just can’t explain it. They did so well with the adaptation. I was crying by the third episode bc I was just so happy to see how beautifully these scenes turned out!!
It was also amusing that Joe said, "He picked up on my bad genes" referring to his thumbs, and presumably Kit interpreted that as "bad jeans" because he was like, "No, it was your thumbs."
whoever cast this series needs to cast literally every teen romance book, please and thankyou. (they most definitely should’ve cast ‘one of us is lying’ because i’m still so heavily disappointed on the casting💀)

Darcy and Tara’s actors look SO similar to how Tara and Darcy look in the comics! It’s so fun to watch them honestly, all the actors made the show so exciting to watch, they really brought it to life. :) Also I love how excited all of them were to get their parts haha.

This adaptation was SO MUCH like the books! Aside from the addition of Imogen and, like, a few events - it was so precise! Nick and Charlie's chemistry was off the charts. So so happy about how it turned out :)

I think Kit Connor is phenomenal. He's the stand out of the show to me but I also reckon the whole cast is perfect. I want to see more of Tori, too! What a brilliant show Heartstopper is!

The only thing that worries me about casting teenagers is their safety and making sure they're not being taken advantage of. Representation is sooo important but all of the stories about ex Disney and Nickelodeon stars horrifies me.
I worry about the cast members even if it sounds like I'm overreacting but most of them were/are teens and they've been facing homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, fatphobia, racism and looks based bullying for more than 2 years already.
