They're joking about their chemistry, but that really is a main reason why this series was so successful. The chemistry was freaking amazing! So real and heartfelt! I'm a 55 year old gay guy who LOVES this series because it's what I wish I had when I was that age, but of course never could in the 1980s. Back then we were hated and blamed for AIDS. This series is BEAUTIFUL and I love it!

I'm 65 and I love this. I had to go through a whole process because at first I was saddened that this was not possible for me 50 years ago. But now, somehow, I have allowed Charlie and Nick to be part of my past, in a way. I dont know, can't explain it...but it has healed me somehow. I still cannot stop watching....

I think Nick Nelson is a fan favourite both due to the ✨AMAZING✨ portrayal, but also because he is relatable, cute, and I think everybody's dream guy, whether as a significant other or just as a friend -I know he's definitely my dream boyfriend- and he's just precious. I love him, and Kit Connor is definitely one of my favourite actors, and that is not a title I give out easily

Olivia Coleman is such a sweetheart, I totally can see her crying because of the post on twitter. I once watched the show "who do you think you are" about genealogy and she was crying all the time, she is so emotional and has so much empathy, and I fell totally in love with her humanity. The show is absolutely amazing. The characters are rich and deep. It makes me feel good that the world is becoming a better place than it was in the 1980s, when I was their age. LGBTQ youth were so attacked back then. It was extremely difficult and very hidden. Nick and Charlie's relationship is heartwarming and makes sense. 💕
