Join me on this incredible experience of visiting one of the most iconic heritage sites of Hindu religion, the 8th Wonder of the World, Angkor Wat Temple.
I started my journey early morning at 5.20 am from my hotel and it took just 10 mins to reach to the Temple complex entrance from my hotel as it was just 8 kilometers away.
It was essential to get up so early morning to witness the sunrise at this temple, where the shadow of 5 impressive towers of the temple are visible in the water at the time sun rising up.
The entire temple tour took me around 3 hours 20 mins and if you wish to cover it completely then I guess you may have to spend at least 4 or 4.5 hrs.
The entire structure of the temple is in a lotus shape divided into 3 layers, where the first and 2nd layers consists of covered galleries and impressive chambers and the 3rd layer or central building is where 5 towers of the temple are located.
The entire temple complex is surrounded by water bodies (moats) and inside the temple we have wooden stairs for the easy movement of the tourists.
I visited this temple in the November month of 2023, and the weather was still hot during the day time.
