I finally decided to start reading the Throne of Glass series, which box set was lying at the top of my bookshelves for nearly four years now. A friend from GoodReads couldn't recommend them more, and she was the one to help me decide whether to begin with the first published book or in chronological order, all while carefully avoiding any kind of spoilers! I opted for The Assasin's Blade. I think I needed this - a fresh start in a fictional world with its magic system and lore. I know little to nothing about what I will encounter in this book. But I do hope these books impact me in many ways, crush my heart and make me cry, and then happy in some moments, all at the same time. And then, I found this perfect video to accompany my reading. It’s not much but I’ve been going through the Maasverse for the first time, and this helps me focus on what I’m reading and makes the story feel more immersive. (I just started reading “Throne of Glass” after finishing the ACOTAR series and I can’t wait to listen to all of what you have to offer as far as the TOG series goes.)
