Thanks for the comments everyone! I hope you enjoyed the episode, especially the bit at 53:00. Thanks again to Charlie who you can find on RUclips here ruclips.net/channel/UCddhCpo99TYiSiRhmzVVSEg
It's not awkward at all to be polite! In my humble opinion, the conversation becomes more pleasant with people like that! And with all my respect, what beautiful eyes of Charlie Baxter! 😅
Hello from DR. Congo. I came across your podcast a few weeks ago and i can't get enough of it and my english has improved a lot thanks to your podcast. Thanks a lot
Hello LuKe, I am enjoying your episodes!!!. I am from Argentina, English teacher. I really agree with all you advise about learnibg the English Language. I have been to UK several times, and really enjoy the language, the scenery, the culture, Pubs, fish and chips, and so on. I would like to chat with you, I mean, Video chat. As this gentle young man you are talking to, here we have the opposite weather as you have. Now is our Autumn, While you are in Spring. Congrats!!!!! I do enjoy all of your episodes and my students are following you ,too. Specially the rule, L+L+L+L+L , S+S+S+S+S and M+M+M+M+M. Hope we can make it!!!!
Hey dear Luke! Thanks so much for the amazing episode! Lots of love to Charlie as well! As far as the Guinness pint is concerned, while visiting the factory in Ireland, I had the chance to participate in that “crash course” on how to pour your own Guinness. According to them, not only doesn’t it travel, but the taste also gets different if you don’t pour it properly. That’s why there’s the harp on the glass. It’s a kind of measuring symbol (and not just Guinness’ symbol). There’s method to the pouring. Question is: are all bartenders aware of that? Probably not. Again, thanks for the amazing episode!
Hi Luke, thank you very much for another extremely interesting episode. Some of the dialogues made me laugh. Thanks to you, I have become more confident that I can handle English. Agnieszka (Poland)
Estoy enamorada vuestras voces y vuestra personalidad, mis podcasters favoritos del mundo. Saludos desde Madrid 😘 ---- I'm in love with your voices and your personality, my favorite podcasters in the world. Greetings from Madrid
Thanks Luke! I went back to 1994 when I lived in London and watched Brookside trying to understand the English they spoke. I remember a long-awaited episode where two girls were going to kiss for the first time on English TV.
Thank you guys. Your English and your accent are like a balsam to my hears. If every English could have the same, the life would have been much easier. The life in UK I mean. A lot of greetings from Poland.
I like listening to these podcasts as it is a perfect way to observe how native speakers interact and apply the acquired knowledge when speaking myself.
Hi! I would need some more explanation for some words and expressions, such as in your fathers speech somewhere on a 53:24 when he said “it become devised” and “blood lion”? And more about that scratch (?) you told “multipieson’s”? Maybe we could find it if you share the link please? And your speech since 55:23 so fast that even 5 times listening didn’t help me. Anyway it was amazing idea to invite your parents, was incredibly interesting, informative and funny. And don’t forget, guys, that all that millions pounds which were spent for coronation, were the income and separate of your citizens, it gives them nice occasion to earn, to spend for beautiful parties it’s much more better then to spend for a wars. Thank you for your work, Luck! Perfectly done!
‘When I lived in Japan..’ 🤪 Bingo! I loved the complete episode and that eyebrows’ tangent was amazing 😁 they really seem to be invisible hehe. I wanted to comment on something you said: this habit of English people of constantly saying ‘sorry’ and ‘thanks’. It maybe a cultural thing but I think it has to do with politeness. I do say those words all the time and I'm from Argentina 🤷♀️ Anyways, wonderful episode as usual Luke 🙋♀️
I am a podcast person all the way (whatever that means!) but I was eager to sit at some point to watch the video and see you both having such a delightful time! Double dose of fun :) Thank you!
Hi teacher. My problem that I mix between Us English and UK English. what do you think about that and what's your advice. Thanks teacher for all your efforts.
Thank you for this podcast. I do need to know how to have a conversation about going to a pub, ordering drink and hope to have conversation. Appreciated
Hi Luke, I was wondering if you could tell me what accent Charlie Baxter has. Is he also from London? I can hear that his accent is quite different compared to yours, both are absolutely lovely! I kind of recognize Charlie's accent, as I got people around me who spoke like him when I lived in London, but I've never figured out where these people are from.

Some of english teachers says that we (they) never reply the word "fine" in return on greeting "how are you?" . By the way they even.underline it ,never, never say fine
It's not true though, because "I'm fine" is the most common way to answer the question "How are you?" The point is, don't just say "I'm fine" like a robot.
Thanks for the comments everyone! I hope you enjoyed the episode, especially the bit at 53:00. Thanks again to Charlie who you can find on RUclips here ruclips.net/channel/UCddhCpo99TYiSiRhmzVVSEg
😂😂 I totally agree! Of course it's content!
@MT TM time code please
@MT TM No it’s ok to say in a pub, meaning inside a pub.
@MT TM No, I mean the “see you again” bit
@MT TM “It’s nice to speak to you again”
Nothing wrong with that.
It’s the second or third time I’d spoken to him.
Two of my favorite teachers and podcasts. I was feeling a bit down, You guys made my day. Thank you, Luke!
Don't say that it bummed me out.
@@Neo-Reloaded Why? :)
I love both of your accents. They are like honey to my ears ! If I had either one of your accents, I would never shut up I swear.
It's not awkward at all to be polite! In my humble opinion, the conversation becomes more pleasant with people like that! And with all my respect, what beautiful eyes of Charlie Baxter! 😅

-Hi, how are you?
-I am fine,how are you?
99% of English teachers say:
-Don’t answer I am fine😂😂😂😂
Yes and I don’t know why! Everyone says it and it’s completely normal.
Two beer or not two beer that is the question...))
I love you both)

Hi Luke. May I ask you to sign something. You ask why?. Because your voice is so nice, more then that you have gitare. Please 🙏
Crikey, how I miss Cheese & Onion crisps! 🙂
Why don't you attach of the podcast transcript? I guess if you were attached the transcript it would be much better and useful for everyone.
Automatic subtitles are available. But to create a full transcript for this would take hours and hours, and the show is free.
Luke, you are great! Your voice is magic. This person, Charlie is very boring...
