Well, since DnB originated from Europe i.e England (Bristol area). So, we can say, they simply mastered the game. While US mostly playing catch up.

Brings me back to the days of Extreme G2 and Bomberman Hero 64. Bomberman Hero 64 having a more upbeat fast paced version of Jungle which suit the game very well in it's from time to time dark gritty atmosphere. With some very very dark techno beats. Extreme G2 on the other hand I think was Acclaims first go at the Jungle genre. It wasn't at all a bad music direction for the game since it featured a lot of dark and jungle atmosphere race tracks. Just the music wasn't fast enough for the speed Extreme G2 possessed and for that most preferred Extreme G1's soundtrack over XG2. I like it personally but they do feature less instruments going on in the background and never really changes speed in the beats.
But that is alright! Forsaken PC/N64 has a very similar sound that I have never heard anything to this day that is similar to it's soundtrack, truly a masterpiece in music design. Back in the day when you could put Game CD's into your car and listen to the soundtrack of it! Would just lose myself when I would drive in the music. Will probably do it again since I still got the CD from 96 ;D. It was considered DnB Electronica though but you can totally tell it was influenced by intelligent jungle.
R.I.P Acclaim even though you made very underrated games that were actually so unique nothing has come out since similar to the games you produced. The music you guys produced was even better than the people that were in those fields who focused their attention only on that genre. Would of been cool to see you guys become a music producer :p xD.

Ahhhh Bomberman Hero, now your talking. That was my second video game and my introduction to drum and bass. Many frustrating hours spent struggling to complete that game. I've also got a couple of the Extreme G games but I have always preferred F Zero-X.

I believe EDM is a term to encompassing all sub genre of electronic music. Whether it is House, Trance, Techno, DrumnBass/Jungle, Dubstep, etc.

that is true, but i must say, some of the best heavy and deathly dnb has come from the states, either way, i love it all, but sometimes i wish i lived in europe. i feel like an alien here because true fans are few and far between, and there is no scene, its all trap or dubstep. or "EDM" whatever the fuck that is! haha

I am aware of what it stands for, I was trying to emphasize sarcasm (hard to do from a keyboard) I am just appalled by the use of it by people where I'm from that hopped on this bandwagon after it became mainstream. I love the recognition electronic music is getting, but I'm partly upset that it has become a weekend fad of sorts here.
I prefer the dumb and bass.

Iam a pianist and guitarist of some twenty years, what i lack in arpegiator and tek, i make up for by often playing live piano,strings,bass,lead sounds and guitar in one take. Actually mickys commented twice, one track i did ages ago called loveinmoments, an 80's remix
At some points I thought "okay, ... now it turns awful, because of terrible singing voices (o_O)", but in the end the singing voices never expanded to that extend that turns the mix into a not listenable state (Without singing voices the mix would have been perfect).
