They're a great bit of kit, my ticket has just run out, work won't renew it as they never bought any of them in the end. Best visibility I've ever had, being able to see all 4 wheels from the seat. Really stable off road aswell, I've dug excavations with only 3 wheels on the ground (no stabiliser legs fitted) and the machine was so stable. The reverse steering function is a brilliant idea aswell

Hi Ben. Can you do a video where you show more of the controls on the bucket release. We have one for work but we’re having trouble disconnecting. If you could do a step by step showing the buttons that would be awesome. Thanks

Hi William, yeah these are fantastic pieces of kit. And you’re very right, backhoes are hard to beat. I think it comes down to these machines having jobs which suit them best. It’s really hard to compare them. Although they aren’t massively far off price wise, the jobs they can do vary a lot. The hydradig really excels in certain areas which is why adaptations like the Pothole Pro have come in. But then the backhoe is perfect for individual operators, which is why you see so many owned by small companies or even just individuals.

What is the machine seriously like off road. I am considering the hydradig for mainly clearance, farmland, woodlands using tree shears, grapple etc. And how far would you travel to a job site before using transport? Great informative video by the way.
Hey Andy thanks for the comment. I've taken the hydradig in some very boggy and wet situations and haven't gotten stuck once. Ground clearance admittedly is not quite as good as a conventional wheeled machine because the engine on hydradigs is under the cab as seen in the video however this does have it's benefits too. In terms of roading i guess it depends on your area. The engine is basically a loadall engine I believe so it'll be decent on fuel. Have you considered talking to your local dealer for a demo? They really are unique to any other duck on the market so I think that would be your best bet to get a feel for the machine. Hope that helps :)

@@henrypearce5478 Yeah I’m fully qualified on the machines I operate. In the UK at least, you can get those at a young age, it’s just not everyone will be trusted until they are older on bigger sites for example.

Some jcbs are a lot better than others, I've found that tracked ones under 13t are useless, 13t are ok. 3cxs are a good bit of kit in the right situation and hands, but only if they are spec'd right
Under 13 ton scrap. 13ton up to 30ton ok . Not great . Not bad. 3cx good solid machine Wheel loaders very good Telehandlers extremely good if not the best Skidsteers absolute scrap
