This is a great device, i use it 100% in portrait mode and I added hundreds of movie artwork to it. It’s a perfect addition for my living room/movie room.
You did the best job I found on YT on Meural Canvas II installation, especially the swivel mount! Really helps me make well-informed decision to purchase this. Thank you, James!
Hi James, my frame came in. Sooo beautiful! Everyone loves it!!! A little challenging setting it up, otherwise love it. Your video is the reason I was convinced to purchase it! Thanks
Sorry to hear it was a little challenging. But, sounds like you got it going. I truly enjoy this and it looks amazing in my home. Glad my video convinced you and you like it. That’s great to hear. You’re going to get plenty of compliments for years to come. Enjoy Steph! You have a great rest of the day. I knew you’d like it. :)
@@locoboof I'm so excited! You did a great job with your video. They should give you some type of discount. Thanks again! Your video is what made me purchase it.
That’s so awesome! Thank you for the kind words. It truly means a lot. If you have any questions, let me know. Please let me know what you think after you’ve set it up!
Is this have a good feeling and resolution than the recent 4k non-glare monitor? this product always emphasizes the non-glare, but this is quite common in these days monitors. your 'real' experience can be useful cuz, meural says 'a technology' they have, make a difference than previous monitors
Haven’t seen a 4K anti-glare monitor in person myself. The only thing I can talk about is my own personal experience with this. Whatever Meural has done is amazing. They’ve dialed it in perfectly to make the artwork look realistic and natural. It honestly looks like a painting. Vs being clearer or having the sharpest image.
It wasn’t built like that. If you’re able to “wall fish” your wire through the wall....and then plug it in at a outlet below. That’s one way, but I added a double gang recessed outlet behind it and plugged it in there. These are all things a electrician can do. If you don’t know how to safely do either one, hire a professional. That’s why I didn’t show it because I’m not a licensed electrician.
Hi James, Thanks for a great review 👍🏻 Please can you tell me what is the minimum time you can set for a picture to display in a slideshow? I would like to have memory photos on display and changing every say 5 seconds.
Thanks for the nice words and thank you for watching. You can set the picture duration to whatever time you want. It’s measured in seconds. 1 second, 5 seconds 5000 seconds, whatever time you want, just put in the seconds.
Thanks for watching! If you buy this you’ll absolutely love it! The photo is called “The Great Rift”. Here’s the info on it.. In astronomy, the Great Rift (sometimes called the Dark Rift, or, less commonly, Dark River) is a series of overlapping, non-luminous dust clouds that are located between the Solar System Milky Way Galaxy. I added another outlet behind the frame. It’s a double outlet (total of for places to plug in) that way I had enough room for the plug. The double outlet is recessed one. I wouldn’t show it because I’m not a licensed electrician.
I was really trying to showcase the stunning artwork. But, they’ve also came out with a wifi frame. In this video I show how you’d do it with your phone. It’s the same for the larger canvas. ruclips.net/video/89vxxV-zvJ8/видео.html
James - Can you please let me know how you ran power in the wall? For eg did you use recessed outlet and if so which one or did you run some electrical wiring behind the wall? I have several of these and am looking to run their power in the wall for a clean look once I move them to my new home.
I got power from the light switches below (as you see in the video) and I used this recessed outlet with some romex electrical wire. amzn.to/3ssDl2x Also, the plug for this thing is extremely awkward. It could’ve been engineered a lot better. Here’s an idea of what someone els did using a single gang box. But, the plug is so awkward, you need the dual gang box like I left the link to, not you’ll only need to power 1 receptacle (outlet) not both. www.reddit.com/r/meural/comments/el68lt/hide_the_cord_my_solution/
@@locoboof thank you James. Greatly appreciate the info and I will check out these options. Yes, I know the plug is very awkward and of the wrong orientation and one likely needs a two gang recessed outlet the fit it given it’s orientation.
I don't like how the swivel mount makes the artwork stick out more. I just put mine up and it's bothering me. But I supposed it has to be this way in order to clear the wall enough to make the turn and to make room for the cord to move while it turns. 😐
9 months later it’s still pretty amazing. I use it every single day. I have it set to come on at a certain time and off at a certain time. I have it set in a group with Alexa... using the WiFi frame (by meural) to come on together. Sometimes I have it display vacation, wedding, birthday photos or wonderful artwork from around the world. Artwork on this thing looks absolutely amazing. It’s hard to explain, but it’s a very natural look. Vs having a bright monitor showing photos. Professional photos (wedding) look amazing on this as well.
@@locoboof love them I have allot of digitalblasphemy.com art on them on 15 min rotation at my work from home desk on the large canvass and looking up just makes me happy. And downs stairs we have the phot frame rotating out pets
I’m pretty sure in the video I said I don’t explain how I ran the power because I’m not a licensed electrician. So, to run power in the walk you should consult a professional.
You mean how it DISappeared? He most likely has an inset/recessed outlet behind the meural. The kind that you would sometime see used with TVs. I advise only getting one if you are positive you want the meural to be hung there or else you'll have to deal with an eyesore outlet that has to be removed or hidden. Also, this would not work for a rental because you need to have additional wiring installed behind the wall where there may not be previously. You would need an electrician to help with this. This method definitely hides the cord the best, but is also the most costly and is a commitment.
To be able to use that thing, do we need to subscribe and pay for the membership? or just simply create an account and ready to go without pay anything?
To access the full library of thousands and thousands of artwork, you’d need to pay for a subscription. The frame does come with a few free samples. You can ask upload anything from your phone for free.
I’m interested in buying one of this to display my 10,000+ photo library, is there any limitations to the slideshow function eg memory, amount of photos in an album etc? Also does the slideshow function shuffle all photos in a album?
I believe there’s a internal memory limitation, maybe 2gb? BUT you can put all of your photos on a micro SD card and put it directly into this canvas itself. It will shuffle and automatically change to another photo after any duration of time you set it to. Trust me, you’ll love this thing.

Does this have random slideshow mode?
So you don't have to manually change the pictures.

Absolutely

I believe some control is available via my.Meural website.
How fast does it scroll thru photos. I'm looking to use it primarily as a photo frame of home photos
