I feel like the fans are very understanding towards sb19 and they really respect sb19's personal space and I feel like that's what every idol group needs.
Seeing how the fanbase is continuously growing and sb19's influence spreading through different corners of the music world, I've seen things that are disrespectful and hateful towards them, and they are fans who buys merch and go to concerts. Idk, I joined the fandom because of how welcoming and how family-like it is, but A'TIN is losing the magic that it had.
That Lyra girl is very humble. Never brags about how her rtwit helps SB19 recognized by many and how SB19 been so consistently thankful to her. She's just the same ordinary silent multi-stan fangirl. We should all learn from her. 😊
The fact that Josh & Lucas are now interested to visit the Philippines means that SB19 is achieving their goal little by little. They are so effective to be the ambassadors. I am so proud of them! 🤗
Filipino entertainment or sports personalities love or personal life is not really a big deal for Filipino fans except for those some immature & new gen fans. I personally doesn't have an issue with SB19's rumored love life coz for me their private or personal lives is the only thing i can give back to them as a "thank u" for the inspiration, motivation & enjoyments they gave to me especially during pandemic since i have a panic/anxiety disorder. Their music calmed me & motivates me. Their humility is so amazing & their geniune brotherhood is so admirable. :-)
I'm glad that SB19 weren't given a persona by the mgmt like they have in KPOP. That resulted in SB19 to be free to be themselves and not just a persona. In my opinion, the idols in Korea are formed when they are still young and most haven't found who they really are yet at that time. But of course, they will grow up and eventually find their own wants and likes. If the persona they have didn't match the real them, that will result in them suppressing their real self in order to still project the persona they were known for. Not able to be free to be who you are and the need to conform are some common reasons why people get depressed. The major difference as well with SB19 is that they are very open about their sufferings and their past struggles. The reason why I never been into KPOP is because for me they presented themselves are perfect, pristine and pure. Even if I know they went through a lot of struggles behind those facades, I can't relate to them as an adult. And the make-believe idea (which for me is part of what KPOP idols are selling to fans) are what we gravitate towards as kids but will shatter once you face reality and grow up. Probably bec I'm also being authentic to myself that's why I gravitate towards SB19 who are also being authentic about themselves.
💯 How can you not want to root for an underdog story where the protagonists are humble and hard working and talented. This is a great interview by Toni that really digs into the groups personalities, but also a cool RV by Josh... 👏
Most of the fans nowadays are only being a fan because the idol's looks, talent or how perfect the idol looks like They tend to lose interest when those things suddenly change into something they don't really like An A'tin becomes a genuine and true A'tin when she's not just looking forward for the member's successes as an individual and as an artist Because we know what they've been through just to be where they are From nothing to slowly having everything
Same! I love KDramas but I'm never into KPop. Probably because I work in marketing and I always saw the groups as just marketing. Like they always present themselves as perfect, but no one's perfect! Also, there's not much KPop groups who are so good in live performances. I liked 2ne1 before because they have such great stage performance but that was short-lived. I just mean that KPop doesn't have much authenticity. I'm glad that SB19 are this multi-talented individuals who are just so genuine, funny, down-to-earth, passionate and resilient.
At this point im so.proud of my co fans, because a'tin a very understanding maybe it also the reason why this boys can do anything, they can be thier self they can go anywhere that we fans are just thier only looking to them as much a possble we dont disturb them esp if they go out for personal reason..
It is interesting that when Stell responded to the interviewer who happens to be his celebrity crush, he never stopped using the honorific “po” - to show respect to an elder. As a regular reactor to SB 19, you are doing your bit in promoting them. I found them thru you as I’ve been following your BTS reactions. I’m enjoying getting to know this young Filipino band and I’m rooting for their greater success. May they remain humble and true to their art. PS: The Fan Army name ATIN (pronounced with a long A) which sounds like Eighteen also means “ours” in Tagalog.
I think it's more of a cultural thing. Although SB19 were trained under a Korean company, the industry itself pushes artists to be more candid, because that's what the Filipino audience would want. I saw a comment below about some KPOP idols would reply with specific body appearance as an ideal partner trait, but that's something that in the Filipino audience won't appreciate. The humbleness seems genuine especially when they've detailed the struggle of starting in the industry, and then coupled with the constant bashing of being KPOP copycats. The Go Up conference interview on how reporters initially treated them was one of the most uncomfortable interviews I have watched. If it was so triggering, I can just imagine how they felt going through that and they had to grin and bear it.
I don't think we can say that they pushed artists to be more candid....if you say push, it's like they were somehow forced, but it is more of, industry encourage artists just to be themselves.
@@tuchichopper7898 Sure, maybe 'encouraged' is better. But I guess that's up for interpretation because like in any industry, the Philippines or anywhere else, it can get ugly and not everyone can handle it. But against all odds, the boys have shown what they're made of by knowing who they are and what they can do.
I have watched that Go Up Conference too, and i felt so sad for the boys and was infuriated by that uneducated reporter. I’m pretty sure that reporter lost his face already, the audacity to question the lads’ gender in public. He doesn’t know the protocol of being a reporter.
@@judithtorres4409 Surprised me that this was actually allowed. I don't remember any other Filipino artist who went through such a really offensive line of questioning in someone's 'debut' conference or a group/solo act who was just starting.
They do come off as very honest, candid, authentic which drew me in. The have no canned or scripted answers, no pretenses about what they know and what they don't. Really loving this!
That is why Go Up is so special to them. Now their fans often sing the song to them in concerts as they know the story behind everything. I have seen it and it is truly amazing.
One thing we love about them is that they are very natural even though they are in front of the camera, they are not afraid to show us their weaknesses.
Thanks Josh, I was waiting for this. I’m glad that you can continue to see how humble, transparent and thoughtful they are when it comes to sharing who they are. It is their character, as much as their incredible talent, that draws me to them. I have great admiration and love for them💙. I can’t wait for you to react to the rest of this interview.
Natural or pure talent! That's what we, most of the Filipinos want or look for in a performer. We have high standards for artists who sing, dance and act. And we truly value performers who give their all --- real and no edits. That's why SB19 dance practice went viral, plus factor is that we learned they practiced it 1,000 times. 🤗
I'm having fun watching this RV. Thanks, Josh! Also, please watch them as they were featured at Zach Sang Show. All of them can speak English. They nailed the interview so well. Anyways, thank you for supporting SB19 💙✨
if you want more candid SB19 interviews, you should check out the ones they did for KwentoJuan, hosted by The Juans who they are good friends with. they get to tell their story more themselves.
I think it's the Filipino culture that you're pointing out. Korean artists have 'personas' and are 'controlled' by contracts whereas in the Philippines artists are allowed to be themselves -- patterned after the western culture. In Korea, netizens pick on everything -- beauty standards and who they're dating. Whereas in the Philippines we don't usually care, although media sometimes expose who they're dating to gain viewers. Celebrities here in the PH can lead normal lives (get married, have kids, and they can continue working) whereas in Korea, it's rare for idols to get married.
Hope you find time visiting the Philippines soon. I'm not saying all Filipinos (coz of course there's always a bad apple) but most Filipinos are very hospitable. Cant wait for you both to taste Filipino foods and delicacies ☺ Thank you as always for appreciating MAHALIMA (mahalima is an endearement use by fans to SB19)
The first time i saw them i fell in love with their music but unfortunately they are just my kids because my eldest is 26 years old and my youngest is 15😂😂😂😂
The fares fluctuate by seasons. Assuming you'll not fly first class, the fares can go as low as $900 from LA to Manila AND BaCK via Philippine airlines, Aseana or ANA. The trick is also to buy a few months ahead and fly during the low season. Mid September to mid November are considered low season. Flying in December and January and during Holy Week are most expensive. Your insights on their interviews are spot on. They usually think and talk outside of "that pop idol box" which is why their interviews are so informative yet entertaining.
I've seen quite alot of foreign fans come to the PH to experience our culture and at the same time try to score an event of SB19 within their stay here. It's so heartwarming for us to see that the boys vision comes to reality or gets closer. One things for sure all of those who come here we're well taken care of and receive a very warm welcome to A'tin.
It's true with the technology today how one thing could blow up in global scale. They become so popular and become influencers too and that takes a lot of responsibility. It's true also about contracts and rules. We know how is the biz in US today the intrigues are in another level. So we can only hope for the best for these guys.
waiting for part 4... SB19 is so down to earth, if you are with them it's seems they are not an idols , they want you to feel that they are ordinary people like you, jamming with you... I really proud that we have idols like SB19... 💙💙💙
One thing you'll appreciate about them is how well they converse during interviews. They're not pretentious, they're very in the moment (listens very well with the interviewer), and intelligently and candidly responds. They easily connect with the hosts, even with foreign ones. They're very lovable and endearing when you get to talk to them. I guess this is what sets them apart from other international groups which quite struggles with communication. Hope you can also view their interviews with international radio stations and recently with Zac Sang (although with this one, Zac looks really tired and uninterested. Well, that's just me though HAHAHAH).
Your rv's are addictive josh🥰" can't wait for the next episode,ti's like too long for the wait. But then we can't thank you enough for always reacting and appreaciating our boys SB19 . Pls do react to "Love Goes" accoustic version
Based with KPop detached life from the public is like they were built as an Institution. While PPop are real human with feelings, with empathy and everyone learned of their humble beginning and down to earth individuals. That’s where you’ll get a true loyal supporters. 👍
The difference between kpop idols and ppop idols is when the culture kicks in, especially the fandom culture. No shade to kpop fans (I was a kpop fan as well), but k idols have a very strict contract/management because majority of kfans wants their idols to be in a certain image like a perfect princey type that must not be touched or whatever, so k idols are tied to do and not to do certain things. Unlike in ppop, or should I say Filipino/Pinoy fan culture, is very different. In pinoy fan culture, we want to know what our male idol's type in a girl, and our female idol's type in a boy. We want our idols to reachable, approachable and we accept their imperfections. As I observed in our famdom, we, A'tin fangirls, are 'a very jealous type' of fans and we express it. SB19 knows this, and whenever we are jealous, they pacify us or they "suyo" to us so that we wont be mad anymore.😁 It's not a type of jealousy that will cancel out out idols, it's more like a cutie type of jealousy that we just want to have a little "suyo" from them and then we will be ok again. In short, A'tin fangirls are MAARTE and MARUFOK, meaning we are dramatic but when SB19 suyo us, we give in immediately.🤭🤫😉
You're reactions are getting more and more interesting and joyful to watch. Thanks so much for all the kind words towards SB19 and appreciate their being real and down to earth people. Can't wait for Part 4!! All the best from A'tin in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
This is what I love about SB19 they are very vocal about their status what they like and what they want and it fit with the atin that very understanding in so many ways ❤
One of the things I love about this group is that they stay humble and they always thanks the fans. They also gives back by donating to charities secretly and publicly. They also have these goals that they are achieving one by one and i hope i could see more of them grow up as a team And also the fandom.
7:19 I’m glad you have noticed that because that is another thing in the ppop industry that I love. It’s how a little freer the ppop idols, not just SB19 but the other groups too, are in showcasing the reality of their lives, what they want in life-especially their love lives-their flaws and how human they are. There is an element of intimacy there and just the feeling of respect and understanding between the idols and us, fans. In fact, in some fandoms (I’m a multi fan but mainly I’m a Magiliw - a fan of another P-Pop group called ALAMAT), the members of the group sometimes share their previous romantic relationships and life experiences in the past with us. I’m pretty sure the SB19 members have done that some time before as well, even Justin has done reading a love letter from his ex girlfriend in a vlog of his before. There’s something about it that I can’t find often in other industries like kpop or jpop that I really appreciate in the ppop community.
For me, the difference of SB19 to KPop idols is that they tend to shy away from being an "idol" and embrace more of being an "artist". Not that I'm saying KPop idols aren't artists, it's just that KPop idols give very very high priority to being an idol. They have to be presentable, charming, gorgeous, close to perfection then the artistry is just added. For SB19, they prioritize their musicality, lyrics, message, and relevance to the audience, just after that they'll add their idol personality if still capable. But it's not surprising if they would appear in front of fans like normal person if that's how they can make their music more relatable. They even made a music video using only camera phones and without wardrobe (just normal clothes) while being wacky and playful. They don't want to be seen as an idol, but as an imperfect normal human person.
Before, they don't have much creative freedom when it comes to their music. Like their first album was all produced by other korean producers and Pablo is the lyricist. But now, music-wise, what they want is what they get. Pablo wrote and produced/co-produced all their songs in Pagsibol EP. I think they also have the freedom which artists they want to collab or who will be the producers that they want to work with. Even Pablo's younger brother sometimes help with the music production. They also have a say in all their music videos, especially, Justin who is their creative director and in choreography being handled mainly by Stell. This is something that other Kpop groups don't have, the creative freedom when it comes to their crafts.
My husband and i are both filipinos living in las vegas, and we always say, it is so easy to go back and visit the Philippines, airfare is not our concern , it is the pasalubong to families and friends, and we are not talking only about immediate families , you have to include the extended families, uncles, aunts, cousins and nephews and nieces and friends and so on and so forth. Just like we’re scheduled to go back home in june and we spent more that $3400 in plane tickets( only coz we’re kind of picky on what airplane we use, u can find cheapers fares if ur flexible.
Yes Josh! Louder on that! I really love your Rv on the boys! you really delve deep on the boys 😍 thanks for this! Hope you react to Kwento Juans Ep 5 and 6 with SB19😍 you can know them more🥰
Ive watched this interview many times yet i want to know your reactions and comments and always excited for the next part. Again thank u soooo much your RV.
Some overseas filipinos going home for vacation, have stop over in Singapore, S. Korea, Japan and Hongkong, because these countries have direct flights to Manila, Cebu and Davao (big cities in the Phil.), and just staying in these airports for awhile to wait for their flights to Phil. Maybe the plane fare on these kind of itinerary is much cheaper than the long hours of direct flight.
Really enjoyed watching your reactions... Thank you for giving time to know more about sb19. Really appreciate how you support them and appreciate their talents.. will be waiting for you next videos.
As far as interesting questions go, my favorite interview of them was the Parinq interview. If it's a more personal and kind of indepth interview, i love their KwentoJuan 5 and 6 interview. For a more lighthearted fun intervew, I guess their PEP live interview last 2020 buti don't know if it has English sub now.
I also like the Korea Times interview coz it became the first reference for fans/casuals on how eloquent, spontaneous, fun and humble they are in an interview. The other one is, their first ever press con, despite the insulting words thrown at them, they handled it professionally.
Thank you for watching/reacting this SB19 interview. Anyway, FELIP (Ken of SB19) dropped a new music video "Rocksta". Curious to see your reaction to his new song.
Thanks for this RV Josh ❤️ by the way some foreign reactors of SB19 already went or are scheduled to go to Philippines. so SB19 's goal to make Philippines be welknown by foreigners are happening already 😊
I still remember that press conference that they have before they went viral, how they were disrespected by this so called professional journalist straight to their faces.
Oh! You should visit the Philippines! And it’s almost summer now, too! We’re known for our beaches, you know. 😊 and town fiestas! It’s a lively time to be here.
You are now my number 1 reactor😍 i always get excited to watch whenever i see you upload new sb19 reactions..please react to kwentojuan episode 5 & 6..you'll hear their individual struggles before being famous..I'm excited for part 4😍
Hi josh..thank u for contineous liking SB19...pls do react on another interview...they were interviewed by Korean Times and this interview were in full english....they wl show their individual talents..this was more than a yr already. This was the time SB19 were started to recognize..again my thanks to u for always reacting SB19 songs and videos, etc..💙🇵🇭
I remember in one of their interviews, Ken said that sometimes they can’t say what they wanted to say ….meaning , they have to watch what they say…& that is the disadvantage of being a celebrity…
Thanks for not just supporting SB19, But loving them as well!!! I'm so excited to more reaction videos from you. Also, pls. be ready for new songs from Ken and from the group as well!!!
I love this RV especially when I hear your input. Thank you for knowing our boys better. i also suggest the KwentoJuan Part 5 & 6 whichs also features SB19. It's a more personal interview with them. Can't wait for Part 4 💜💙
They used to ask first and second gen k-pop idols this "ideal girlfriend/boyfriends. K-pop fans didn't used to be this possessive. At least most of us could differentiate the real person vs the idol persona. I love some of them (1st and 2nd gen k-pop idols) but their answers turn me off as a Filipina. They would give specific height or say they want someone with s-line and double eyelid or with specific nose shape... With some girl idols they want someone with wide shoulders, younger than them, innocent looking etc. *Sigh. Kind of reflects what their society values. 🤷🏻♀️ Some Filipinos would answer: God-fearing, family oriented, chinito/chinita, mestiza/fair skinned (though some would not admit this openly nowadays), gandang di nakakasawa (the longer you look, the more beautiful one appears). SB 19's answers reflect what they value.
I think their Parcinq interview affirms a lot of their responses to trivial questions like this -- what their values are, how deep thinkers they are, how authentic they are, etc.
I feel like the fans are very understanding towards sb19 and they really respect sb19's personal space and I feel like that's what every idol group needs.

Can’t wait for part 4. Always loved your sincere comments Josh!
Thank you Josh for this SB19rv...many people like them because they are genuinely humble and down to earth..no pretensions whatsoever...
Watching their old interviews never gets old. It shows that they were the same from beginning up to now 🫶
7:19 I’m glad you have noticed that because that is another thing in the ppop industry that I love.
Yes, Josh, please watch Alamat!
Been on the look out for the parts of this RV. 😁😍 thanks Josh!
Love to see you and Lucas visit the Philippines too!
Hope you can watch Zack sang show intervew for sb19
Thank for giving exposure to SB19.. we will never forget the foreigners who gave the boys the recognition when their countrymen sleep on them.
Sb19 ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Thank u for this rv for our PPop Kings SB19
Please come to the Philippines!!! You won't regret it. Not just the place but the people! You'll understand when you're there.
Hope you react to Kwento Juans Ep 5 and 6 with SB19😍 you can know them more🥰
Yes, they're humble. You're right about that. That sets them apart.
Ive watched this interview many times yet i want to know your reactions and comments and always excited for the next part. Again thank u soooo much your RV.
Kwentong Juan next pls. That’s where Pablo cry and open up his struggles
Not living with personas and being their own genuine self is sooooo on point in this RV. And that authenticity will make you appreciate them more. 🥰
Keep on waiting for the next RV of SB19. Kwentong Juan interview next pls. Thanks. God bless.
With SB9, what you see is what you get- their raw, authentic selves. I can’t wait for part 4 😊. Thanks again for a great RV.
I also love their Parcinq interview. 🙂
up for this! 😊
I also like the Korea Times interview coz it became the first reference for fans/casuals on how eloquent, spontaneous, fun and humble they are in an interview.
The other one is, their first ever press con, despite the insulting words thrown at them, they handled it professionally.
PEP Live interview is fun to watch and still my favorite of all their interviews but i think it has no english subtitles.
up!!
It's crazy to think that I've been waiting for these series of RV 🤣 love it! Waiting for P4 🫠
Thank you for watching/reacting this SB19 interview. Anyway, FELIP (Ken of SB19) dropped a new music video "Rocksta". Curious to see your reaction to his new song.

Wow ! Its now a habit for me to look forward to watching your SB19 reaction videos . Thank you 😊
I still remember that press conference that they have before they went viral, how they were disrespected by this so called professional journalist straight to their faces.

SB19 KEN / FELIP ROCKSTA MUSIC VIDEO.
I remember in one of their interviews, Ken said that sometimes they can’t say what they wanted to say ….meaning , they have to watch what they say…& that is the disadvantage of being a celebrity…
Thank you for all your Sb19 reactions. Can't wait for part 4!

FIRST! BEEEN WAITING THIS PART 3. THANK YOU JOSH. 💙🇵🇭
Me too! Been refreshing all morning hoping to see it drop. Hehe
I love all your inputs. The side stories are also inspiring. Thank you for taking your time to know the boys. ❤❤❤
Waiting for part 4!!😊
They used to ask first and second gen k-pop idols this "ideal girlfriend/boyfriends. K-pop fans didn't used to be this possessive. At least most of us could differentiate the real person vs the idol persona.
I love some of them (1st and 2nd gen k-pop idols) but their answers turn me off as a Filipina. They would give specific height or say they want someone with s-line and double eyelid or with specific nose shape... With some girl idols they want someone with wide shoulders, younger than them, innocent looking etc. *Sigh. Kind of reflects what their society values. 🤷🏻♀️
Some Filipinos would answer: God-fearing, family oriented, chinito/chinita, mestiza/fair skinned (though some would not admit this openly nowadays), gandang di nakakasawa (the longer you look, the more beautiful one appears).
SB 19's answers reflect what they value.
I think their Parcinq interview affirms a lot of their responses to trivial questions like this -- what their values are, how deep thinkers they are, how authentic they are, etc.
Everyday, i look forward your SB19 reaction videos. Keep them coming!
Again...thank you for your support to our Mahalima.💕🤗
Appreciate you po!❤❤❤
Can't wait for Part 4. Thank you for supporting SB19.
Thank you very much for SB19 rv part 1-3 💙💎💠😍👍
