I grew up in San Bernardino and theirs a very heavy gang culture at SBHS. Thankfully my mom got me out of there because it felt like a jail pod

I’m sorry but there’s no way in hell I would let my 14 year old son step outside to see what was going on after hearing shots! I feel terrible for this family and this poor boy but we have to be super mindful these days because you just never know.
And the neighborhood they lived in, it is very apparent what goes on there. You don’t let your young boys walk around freely and think they’ll be safe. The family isn’t telling everything. He had to have been involved in a gang.

Is it me or did I hear the deceased Mama say he heard shots and went outside to see what was happening....I don't KNOW ab y'all but there are two kinds of teenagers that hear shots. The One who stays out of trouble and has no enemies when he hear shots he may peek out the curtain and tell Mom call 911 and then there was us.... Hear shots, walk outside to see whose tripping 🤔

Yeah this was my exact thought as well. There is I want to help then I want to know. He actively put himself in danger just to see and know of the fuss. Sad that he died but he went there. Why did the mom not stop him? He is 14 after all. Where is that protection? Sure the parents are devastated but if she was actively home then why did she ever allow that? All around weird. Was he never taught what to do when you hear guns blazing? I’m sure he was taught it’s in school these days after all. I would like to know if mom was there and actively watched her son go out that door to investigate. There are gaps in this story.

From SF to SD., a culture of crime, violence, and murder., and it continues. I was born in Glendale, raised in So.Pasadena, Alhambra area but moved 2,000 miles east to the gulf coast 25 years ago. Even back then the writing was on the wall and I was offered a job to good to turn down. Best move I ever made. The people of Cali have nobody but themselves for the mess Cali has become.

It's not hard to find him. His friends have posted him drinking, smoking, and throwing up gang signs. It's sad when parents/ friends want help from the community but are willing to withhold true information that could lead to the killer(s). If the public truly wants to help, they don't care who he's affiliated with. We just want the truth so we can truly help!!

There should be a Law that if caught with a Gun that's automatically a Five years jail sentence weather it be a juvenile or an adult, period.

“He just stepped out to see” he broke a survival here which I’m sure most of you would considering today’s main goal amongst most youth. Unfortunate that he died. You don’t go looking. You duck and seek cover. Are you inside? Stay away from the windows, duck and cover. I could type several reasons why he could have but I don’t believe this is the entire story.

And she said that’s the last time they saw him when he stepped outside…so did they know about the shootings when he left and just let him go? Or did they not find out about the shootings until after the son was shot dead?
