honestly my daughter who is 12 told me some boys in her class don't understand kind and thinks they are psycho or have mental issues. No kid is born bad but i think due to family issues/trauma some kids just don't have feelings no matter what they are taught about kindness. Most men who are raised strict think boys should be tough and yell at or punished instead of being babied. I saw my daughters group chat and what i saw which how these boys act online at 10 or 12 years old is scary. My daughter left those chats and just stick to playing on roblox or people that are nice. At 12 boys compare private parts to how manly they are ect which is wrong. Girls in my daughters class are being disrespected by boys who think girls are weak ect. I have seen this at our elementary school and we live in Canada of all places who always say they stand for equality of men and women. Yet people aren't raising boys like they should. Clothes are gendered for babies and boys wearing girly stuff is still frowned on. Homophobia is raising in kids at school yet parents are not aware of this.

When we stop teachers from allowing bullying. The teachers used bullying to go after kids. They did it to my daughter and parents don't always know teachers are involved. I went into the principals woth a cell phone live listening to a teacher lead a bullying campaign against my daughter (who was on the autism spectrum) and they didn't fire the teachers. I had to make them move her class. It is a lot to do with the system being broken. That teacher hid from me every time I came on campus and the principals helped her. She deserves whatever happens to her for that behavior and I hope she gets it. The schools don't protect kids. They target them. To all parents go protect your children. Pay attention to what is happening! The teachers are not there to help. They don't and have not for 10 to 15 years. I prayed for this family and hope there is a real outcry in the community. I was bullied. My youngest son was bullied. With my son's case I didn't negotiate and I wasn't flexible. I wrote the principal and the board of education. I visited the school personally and met with the principal and assistant principal to let them know it "had to stop immediately." I strongly advised them to talk to the parents of bully. My son was never bullied again. It's time to do better, including holding even the parents 100% accountable for their bullying children.

In my opinion, the schools DO take bullying serious and they DO something about it. The problem is what they do. My grandson is in middle school and had to change schools halfway through the school year. Within 2 weeks we were hearing about issues with a kid in his class. Finally, last week the 2 boys met in a bathroom and got into a fight. Both boys were suspended for 2 days. We cooked my grandson a celebration dinner and told him we were proud of him. This zero tolerance bs is ridiculous. No other group that is being preyed upon is expected to submit and roll over whimpering. Self preservation dictates that we do what we have to so we survive. My grandson had better NOT bully anyone but if a bully comes at him he knows to take up for himself and if there are consequences he knows his family will support him. SCHOOLS: stop punishing kids for taking up for themselves. Our judicial system has rules and laws to protect a person's right to defend themselves. Here we are telling kids they don't have the same protections grown ups have. Oh, it makes your job easier as all sides get punished but you are punishing the bullied kid a 2nd time and leaving the kid who fears being called a snitch with no justice at all. Your system does not work!

      There's no benefit to this.
All it does is reward somebody for bad behavior.
And a kid who actually had potential doesn't get a chance to succeed.

If you’d like to make a new set of “don’t be mean” laws then you’d be better suited in communist China with a social credit score, freedom-less, completely surveilled life. In the past when kids were taught “sticks and stones”, suicide was a pretty rare thing.

@@yeboscrebo4451 well, the bully doesn't have to be criminally charged, but he ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to have disciplinary action taken against him. That is what we mean by holding him accountable for his actions.

If bullies are not held accountable families will keep crying.. bullying cannot be normalized and it starts with parenting at home. And discipline at school. Such beautiful eyes. Such a shame.

Utah has a lot of Bullies including TEACHERS I have a disabled child I took out of school and home school him. He’s so much better off I’m so glad I did it. My son is safe and happy. The damage is done and recovery is still on going. Kids are so mean but Teachers are worse. We as mothers see how they suffer and you must protect them even if you remove them from harmful people they will have time to recover from their abusers. Be strong keep your sick sense sharp. Don’t let your children blame themselves for others bad behavior just homeschool them or send them to a different school altogether.

When I was in elementary school, I was bullied for 3 years. I tried to defend myself once and ended up suspended for a week. I tried speaking about it to the teachers and principal and always got told “there’s no evidence.” I thought about suicide more than once, but what kept me from committing it was thinking the pain I would cause my mom. It makes me so sad that after 20 years nothing is being done.

Yeah in middle school I thought about it a couple times, but was never really serious about though. The main thing keeping me from thinking about more and more seriously is thinking of the pain it would cause to my mom and brother.

i went through the same thing.. my teachers told me that it wouldnt affect/matter in the future when im older and that ill be laughing at it. they treated us like adults with no emotion. (even tho we were in grade 6-7) im now 18 and still suffer from it. the fact that they needed evidence to do anything about it is down right wrong. wish schools dealt with our stuff differently.

I too was viciously bullied as a child and teen because I have a form of dwarfism and look different. Even some of the teachers bullied me. Nothing was ever done and the "blame" for the bullying was always placed on me (the victim, sometimes even by family). I was bullied in every way possible, from beatings to name calling to being shunned. I kept to myself just to try to stay safe and sane, but I often thought of suicide and even planned several times to do it. Luckily music and performing in youth orchestras sustained me, but it was very close.
