Part of the reason I like this show so much is because I hate the whole "devil made me do it" belief. Not because I'm a satanist, but because it people use it as an excuse to refuse the blame for their own actions. Especially Muslims, who often say things like "the devil in me got strong, so I didn't pray today" or "the devil in me wanted to lie". I'm Muslim and my relatives constantly say shit like that, as if they don't control their own actions or thoughts. This show emphasizes the whole "take responsibility for your actions, because no one influenced you" and I really appreciate the message.

I relate to your comment so much, I was raised as a Jew (tho Im not religious now) and so many times my teachers, my friends and my family would say stuff like "the devil wants you to do that" "its bc of the devil" (we dont exactly call it the devil but its the same thing) and I was always confused to why they teach us that we have a choice but then blame everything on "the devil" and the show portrayed that really well

This show is rlly good but if u a Christian u know it's the devil he wanted to be better than God he wanted everything to himself he wanted to kill everyone he was the true evil and yes the devil is responsible for most pepoles bad deeds but yes we do get to decide it we are good or bad just that the devil gets eximent when we do the bad things

I love this show. It shows the Devil in a light that everyone has neglected, just wanting to show Lucifer's truth, while everything else shows him as a monster that causes all our problems. Here, he see the truth: Lucifer is the way we is BECAUSE of God's actions. Lucifer most likely becomes enraged whenever he hears the phrase "God makes no mistakes."
