Oh, Chrissie, your tiny "whispers" are just darling 💐 I just love all the tiny little details and stitching. Oh my, I love the kangaroo sighting‼ I admire your creations and have viewed your videos over and over for inspiration.
Thanks so much Martha. Yes, I wish I could have been there in time with my camera to get a photo of the kangaroo. I am so pleased to hear you are able to get inspiration from my videos :) Chrissie
Love these little "whispers" of creativity! Especially partial to the Lily of the Valley one. One of my favorite flowers since childhood many years ago. Also My granddaughter a few years back was thoroughly convinced she saw a Kangaroo in our driveway. Well that would really have been quite a sight since we live in Ohio, USA! Thanks for sharing.
Oh yes, beautiful Lily of the Valley, one of my favourites too. That is a funny story about your granddaughter and the kangaroo...maybe....just maybe ...she did!! Thanks for watching Cheryl. Chrissie :)
Absolutely love your tiny journals!!! I've done a few small things, but only similar. Think this may be my next project! Just darling! Love, love, love!
These are so very inspirational! I just adore them! You make your videos as long as you like, I sat through in it's entirety and could have watched more!
Thank you Loes. Yes, I will try and get the kangaroo. If not that one that goes down our street maybe another one. They are around our area. Chrissie x
OMG Chrissie, what little tiny journals you made. I am in LOVE with. they are sooo sweet and special. Love them all and want one. Please let me know. TFS HUgs Beate
Thank you Cerri, glad you liked them and welcome, I am glad you found me too:) I hope to make some more of these tiny journals sometime in the future. Chrissie
You had me with my nose to the computer screen looking at all the details...the purple my favorite...I really like the way you use the fabric in your books...so special...thanks for sharing Chrissie...next walk put your camera in your pocket :) Laurel
Hello Laurel, lol about your 'nose to the screen'. Yes, I did that the next day but he didn't come again...However I will try and get some as they are around our neighbourhood. Chrissie :)
This are sooooo cute!!!! So much work went into each piece of art! And it really makes me mad to see a thumbs down!!! (I'm not kidding) Thank you very much for sharing with the rest of us. God Bless you and yours...
Hello Teresa, thank you for your sweet comment. I don't let the thumbs down bother me although I always do wonder why if someone doesn't like the video why they just don't turn it off rather than feel the need to give a thumbs down... Blessings Chrissie :)
Hi Chrissie! How sweet these tiny journals are! I love little things. I know how I look at all my throwaway boxes now that I make journals. I always think :) can I use that! And I see you did and turned it into something so very special! I loved that name you gave them too. Oh my goodness on the kangaroos. When I think of Australia my thoughts go to kangaroos. Hope you get a picture to share with us. Have a wonderful weekend. Lots of hugs, Judy xxoo
Hello Judy, thank you for your lovely comment. Yes, I wish I could have been quicker to get a photo of the Roo. It is quite sad really as there is so much development happening around our area and the kangaroos are being forced out of their habitats. That is the second time recently that we have seen one bounding down our street. I was out walking one day not long ago with my little granddaughter and one bounded past us. They go really fast. They probably do it a lot more often but we just don't see them. Tfw Chrissie x
I just bought a couple tiny books for the covers so I could make a couple wee journals, and I turned on RUclips and here is your video!! I'm lagging behind a few days, but maybe great minds do think alike. Ha. These are really cute!!!
Glad you like them! I just looked through that video again and feel like making some more again..Actually, they are just as much work as making a full sized journal
Oh my goodness, I love the name of your adorable little journals! I've never made a journal that tiny, I really have to try it. These are so cute! You'll have to keep your camera with you all the time to catch a kangaroo in action. I'd love to see something like that! Debbie :)
These are sooooo adorable! And I love them, and your kangaroo storie, to bad you miss the picture. That is very intriguing to me of coarse because we don't have kangaroos hoping around in the US streets. Lol that would be very cool to see.
Oh Chrissie I adore them, I am in love with the lily of the valley one, I have tried and tried but I just cant do hem, the paper is too hard it wont match up proper, I overload it so too bulky, anyway my little craft bin is constantly getting fed as 4 i have tried now, so think I will give up. Thank god you make these lovely video's as I do enjoy. Big Hugs and hope you catch the photo of the Kangaroo soon would love to see. Dede xxx
Hello Dede, thank you for your lovely comment. I am sorry to hear you are having trouble sewing on your journals. I am wondering what to suggest to help....Do you do an outside paper, inner card, and lining paper? I seem to be able to get through that on my machine. Maybe cut your outer paper a tad bigger and then cut it to fit once it is sewn on. Maybe try a different needle or larger stitch on your machine. Don't give up...some of mine don't work either :) Good luck! Yes, I will try and get the kangaroo or some kangaroos so I can show you. :)
Hi Chrissie thanks for all your help, my problem is I do everything all in a rush and add new idea's that don't work lol, I may try again and use the machine as I hand stitch most things. Big Hugs Dede xxxx
Thank you Cherri. I do have an Etsy shop which I am trying to re-stock at present. I am not planning on making any of the micro journals at present though as I find they are just as much work as their bigger sisters to create only just on a smaller scale :)
The albums are treasure chests! Lovely job. What needle size and thread do you use when stitching on the papers? You have the best back tension I have yet to see on the reverse sides. Previous albums from other designers show very loose tension and look, in my opinion, very unattractive. Perhaps it is the "seamstress" side of me. Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to seeing others you create!
Hello Sharon, thank you for your lovely comment. With regard to the thread and needle size...I am not too sure but I think it is 90 or 100 (does that sound right) and the thread I always use is Amann Rasant. I have a very old Elna sewing machine that I adore. I did buy a new machine last year but I find I prefer to use my trusty old Elna. She has served me well.:) Chrissie
Cherri Patson Although these are tiny as much work goes into the making of them as does a bigger journal. I don’t have any available at present but if I do they would be for sale in my Etsy shop with the price. I always show videos of my creations before they go into my shop so if you are interested maybe click on the bell and it will let you know when I have any new videos up. Thanks for your interest :) Chrissie
Thank you for your comment. I realise my camera does have a bit of background noise but I do my best with the equipment I have. Also, I have a soft voice so may I respectfully suggest you turn your volume up.
I am sorry you can't hear, I don't have a very loud voice. You will find my more recent videos have a better sound quality but at the time I made this one my then camera had a lot of background noise and I was doing my best with what I had. I am happy to hear you liked them though :)
I love, love these Micro Mini Journals. They are so cute. I like making small ones as well. Take care. x Blessings x Mariana UK xx
