  • Welcome to episode one of Driver's Notes, featuring owners sharing their stories, passion, and expertise on the classics they love! #hotrod #classiccars #customcars
Growing up, Jason Hicks's father always had classic cars, sports cars, and hot rods in the garage. Jason knew he always wanted to build his own classic someday. With his wife on board for the project, they started the hunt. They spotted this 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook sitting in the back of an Indianapolis swap meet in primer gray about ten years ago. He knew immediately it would make a fantastic canvas for a custom car build. With a lot of work, and some help from his dad and friends, they built it into the eye-catching cruiser it is today.

My first car was a 51 Cranbrook. Pulled it from a barn in east montpelier VT in 1999. Wish i had never sold it 😔. Paid 800 bucks, 40,000 miles, rust free. Just wasnt practical for an 18 year old in vermont. Pretty sure it ended up getting sold to a guy in canada, and it was fully restored.

The car, and what you've done with it is fantastic 👍
Two weeks ago, I bought a running and driving
1953 Dodge Regent four door, 230-6, three speed manual, nearly flawless interior and exterior...Plus, five Firestone glass belted wide whitewalls... Of course, I'm a happy dog now... Pretty much guaranteed to not see another, at the same intersection in my life... Unless its a Mopar event...
Anyway, just sharing similar family of cars, stories...
Best regards, from the mountains of central California...
