For anyone confused by this list, as someone who lives in the United States, most of these stadiums are College American Football Stadiums. College American Football is a multibillion dollar industry in this country. Additionally, quite a few of these stadiums were built during the Great Depression as government funding of art and cultural projects to give unemployed people something to do.
I have been to the Cotton Bowl for soccer games. What is amazing to me about the stadium is how even the nosebleed sections have great views of the field and action. It not only the capacity but design that is amazing for something built long time ago.
NFL stadiums are an embarrassment. There is no reason that every N.F.L stadium should be bigger and have 50% more regular non-club seating capacity than Michigan Stadium.
@@jacquesmassard9226 Yes but in college football you only have several NCAA universities in each state but with N.F.L. teams are representing the entire state the team is located in as a whole and who's team home are in major cities so the N.F.L. Stadium litterally needs to be big enough to seat the entire state's population. And the super bowl stadium needs to litterally be big enough to fit the entire U.S. population.
@@mapgar1479 No man NFL is a business the care about having it look good on tv and to make tons of money per seat. No sense spending more for more seats or you might end up like the washington football team that has a huge empty stadium. You want it to be great way to spend your cash. College football gives away tons of seats for free to students cause they not only want to not look bad on camera but full stadiums are great atmosphere for asking wealth alumni to give millions and billions for a new law school building or etc... every time a school wins a national championship they get more money from alumni giving that they get for game day revenue or even tv rights.
it's about giving fifa bribes and like Americans don't care about fifa enough to even know it's exists most of the time. The USA could host the world cup every year and not repeat stadiums for years.

False. These stadiums were built before 1929 or the great depression. They were built during the golden age of sports, the roaring 20's.

The largest stadium is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
there is a distinction. race tracks are considered "sport venues" because a "stadium" has to have a feature playing area instead of a race track.

Capacity of Rose Bowl is 90,000
@@soloconcierto_live False. The Rose Bowl stadium seats 100,000
@@alex88907 False. The Rose Bowl stadium seats roughly 90,000 and hasn't seated 100,000 since changes in the late 1990s.

There’s a blackout rule so it’s favorable to have less seats to always sell out, NFL stadiums are pretty much the best in the world
Ehh The NFL wants to sell club and suites to max the high margins on the game. College football wants pack in large groups.

College football doesn’t pay its players but nfl does
Michigan needs the space to hold all that crap

Bro why have we hosted the world cup once
it's about giving fifa bribes and like Americans don't care about fifa enough to even know it's exists most of the time. The USA could host the world cup every year and not repeat stadiums for years.
these stadiums are college
It's "mish-i-gan" not "mitch-i-gan"
None of them have a roof lol
Proud fans don't need roof to hide underneath!
Why would they?
Night games are much better in open roof stadiums than indoor, it helps build the atmosphere of the game
American football doesn't stop because of weather, ever.
Their stadiums.
I want 10 crore s capacity stadium in America
