Right? That was the best part of today's show: watching Toya providing her energy and sympathy to Patty. We should all have someone like Toya in our lives, as well as be willing to be a Toya to a friend in need.
Auntie Patty, you were the first person I thought of when I heard about Frankie. We've got you! What a life, as he was still active! And the anecdote you told about sitting with him, the hand squeeze, the affection, etc. He still knew your name despite Alzheimer's. Bravo to you for going on with the show!
Frankie, you will be truly miss. You're were such an amazing singer. RIP. My favorite Frankie Beverly Before I let Go.. This song has always been my jam
So sorry to hear about Frankie Beverly’s passing. My favorite song of his was Joy and Pain. This song has a special place in my heart because I remember my sister hand-dancing to this song. She was the best dancer and she made hand-dancing look effortless. Unfortunately, I was not as good a dancer as she was. I lost my sister 39 years ago. She was 25 years old. I’m five years older than her. Every time I hear that song, I think of my sister and I grieve all over again. Mr. Beverly and his beautiful voice will be missed. My condolences to his family.
Auntie Patty ❤ Much Love & Sadness of the transitioning of Mr. Frankie Beverly 😢❤ Joy & Pain was my favorite song. His music will forever be in my head! 🙏💞🙏

Oh My, Frankie Beverly and Maze was such an incredible group!!! I’m a big big fan and have much LOVE for the group, all the years of partying to his great great soundtracks. One of my favorite jams is WE ARE ONE, I just love love that song as well as so many others too! Mr. Beverly will certainly be greatly missed, however he left us a legacy of exceptional and outstanding music and memories to last us the rest of our lives and for that I want to say THANK YOU!!! Rest well dear one 😂❤🎉
Frankie had the gift of uniting us. ‘We Are One’ is my favorite. On one of the many times I saw him, the entire pavilion was doing the electric slide. Seeing thousands of people on one accord was Magickal✨✨✨ My family and I will miss him dearly 😊

That last night of the Frankie Beverly concert was magical. Everyone was just happy and blessed to be in his presence. It was a sea of white in Philly. Oh, and Golden Time of Day was THEE best song! ❤ RIP Mr Beverly
Frankie was truly OURS y'all! We, the Black Community, KNEW He was like our favorite Uncle who gave us so much Love and Wisdom through his words and music. I was thinking the other day there needs to be more done to honor our music people. I was so glad to see Frankie get so many honors before he passed. One of my favorite moments was seeing him get a tribute on the Trumpet Awards ceremony back in 2010, and The Clark Sisters did 'I Want To Thank You', aa part of the tribute CD that was created by his son for him. Somebody also Please give The Whispers something too. Amen. These are folks that have blessed our communities for generations. We Love you Frankie!
RIP Mr. Frankie Beverly 🙌🏾💕😢 My condolences to his family, his eons of fans including myself! Thank You 🙏🏾 for amazing music that will always be around😢 I was in the Back In Stride video. A friend called me fromNY saying he seen me. I’m in downtown Bakersfield, on my way home from working at Sears. I stayed until they left the area. That shoe-shaped building is iconic and still repairing shoes. I have my fan club MAZE magnet in my top drawer. I was fortunate to attend his Sacramento concert. He was ecstatic and humbled of ALL the Love💕he received that night. A co-worker spoke of the head nod they made while passing one another at the beach in Northern California. Again, Thank You 🙏🏾 💕🥲 and your friends, MAZE🫶🏾
Patty I remember when Maze was Raw Soul and would come perform at our High School. BOK.. Saw him many times over the years. That voice and group magical. 😢 Rest in Paradise Frankie Beverly. ❤❤❤
Awwww... wow, Frankie B....rest well sir! Well, other than the popular songs ...my favorites are: Just Us, What Goes Up, After the Morning After, While I'm Alone. So glad that I still have my albums!!!!
Every concert I have been to plays Frankie’s music in intermission and the crowd goes crazy singing. Every cookout Frankie’s music plays while the spades game is going on. Every Wedding Frankie’s music comes on and the line dancing starts. The Culture will continue honoring Frankie Beverly and his music for generations.
What a Legacy Frankie Beverly leaves down here with us mortals.... I trust he is up Yonder leading & crooning for all the Cook-Outs forever more! Thank You Sir for gifting us with those magical vocal cords. Rest In Power!🐐💔❤
We all knew the songs of Maze and we sung with emotions at every concert. He has gotten me through a lot of things in my life. I will miss Frankie like a family member. R.I.H Frankie 💐💐💐💐😢😢😢😢 Golden time of the day, I love you much to much, Southern Girls, Joy and Pain. Just everything that Frankie sang...😢😢😢
R.I.P. Frankie Beverly!!! I'm still trying to understand how the Grammys can give awards (mostly go along to get along awards) and not give truly talented icons who have been around for years an award!! 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
It’s the JOURNEY not just the moment for us who KNOW, have wisdom and understanding! We follow whom we love and here for the duration. The wicked industry IS NOT! Once a certain age less exposure. Then it’s all making a comeback-BULL PATTIES-they never left, still here been doin their thing the whole time! Used to be we SHARED music through the RADIO! Everyone listening to their local fm station! Now, EARBUDS! No one sharing much, none of us have stereo systems like we did! We are subject to the ‘machine’ of the greedy ones now and it’s a travesty! I don’t know where it’s going either! Blessings of LOVE YALL🙏🏻❤️🤨🤔
Auntie Patti my son texted me 7am this morning. I thought something happened and something did. The beloved music icon Mr. Frankie Beverley had passed. I really put some Crown in my coffee. I salute and thank you for all the beautiful music. Your music will live on in our hearts forever. Condolences and prayers to Mr Beverley's family 💐❤❤❤❤❤
Here's an extra extra extra hug to you Aunty Patty and Cuz 'n Latoya. Yes, this is a very sad day. I know Frankie Beverly is Phillys own but DC claim him too. LOL I 'm at a loss as well but as I was scrolling down IG and saw your backstage footage of Frankie Beverly, his bandmates and his crew it brought back my joy. I'm so glad that you capture those wonderful moments. And what is so loving is that he received his flowers while he was STILL ALIVE. And I am so glad I got to see him live numerous times in DC. Who remembers Budweiser's Superfest and Carter Barron Armpitheatre (always sold out shows). His music will FOREVER LIVE at the barbarques, graduations and playlist. My favorites are Feeling that You Feeling, Golden Time of Day, Love is the Key, We are One, Silky Soul Singer and Joy/Pain. Right now, I'm experiencing the pain part but once I hear his music the joy comes back. Thank you, Frankie Beverly; we want to thank you, thank you, thank you. 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
I've seen Frankie Beverly and Maze three times when they came to London. One of the best concerts I've ever been to, they knew how to perform I still look back at those concerts with fond memories ❤
My favorite Frankie Beverly songs are The look in your eyes, Reason, The Golden Time of Day, Love you much too much, Joy and Pain, Love is the key, Too many games, Back in stride again. His Legacy is forever imprinted ❤❤❤❤❤❤ REST IN PEACE KING
Big Hugs Auntie. We Got Ya Back. I'm here Cryin' Too😢 Summers, Frankie Beverly and Maze with family and friends. Some of the best times of my life. RIPOWER Beloved Brother.🙏🏾😇 James Earl Jones, Frankie Beverly, ??? You know they come in 3's. Whew this is a bit much. AND I'm sittin' here in the path of TS Francine. The Struggle is REAL.
Ms Patti...I was so shocked ..I thought of you immediately when I confirmed it was true...just did his farewell concerts....RIPower Mr Beverly....Give me a reason...Before I let go...Love is the Key..
Oh Patty, my phone rang early this morning. My heart sank when I was told Frankie had passed away. I didn’t even know what to say. Sadly, we saw him failing. I’m in Southern California. Rare if me and my friends missed an LA concert! Being in his presence was like being with family! No matter what event you may have been attending, you heard Frankie! I was at a wedding last week, what do you think the DeeJay played….Before I Let Go!!! The dance floor filled up fast!! Talk about a black anthem…that was it!!! I could tell you numerous stories about the good times we had at his concerts!! It was always like a family reunion…black, white, brown, old, young, he was loved. As you said his voice wasn’t as it used to be but we didn’t care!! We were there to support him! Everybody knew the songs and it was a serious sing-a-long! People dancing in the aisles!! Always a party!! As far as favorite songs go, that’s hard because I have so many…Happy Feelings, Golden Time Of Day, Before I Left Go! There’s a song you rarely hear called “When You Love Someone”…I don’t know who he was singing that to but girl..dang! That was one worth putting on repeat! I’m so thankful for his music, his beautiful voice, his spirit ❤️ Grateful for my collection of his music! May he rest in heavenly peace 🙏🏾🙏🏾
My first experience listening to Frankie Beverly and maze was when I was around 7 or 8 and my parents took my sister and I on an outing where we stayed in a one-room schoolhouse out in a rural area of Wisconsin and it was beautiful but what made it so memorable is that throughout that whole trip my parents blared the Frankie Beverly and maze album and I heard Joy and pain and that song resonated with me to the point where I realize life is about love light and laughter and I strive to manifest that in my life no matter what the circumstances are and had been like that because of the beautiful religious teachings but at the same time the Beautiful lyrics to Frankie Beverly and maze songs that they didn't need to win any awards they were rewarding to the people that listen to them that love others off of those lyrics that were so profound that you could manifest them in your life. Each and every Frankie Beverly and maze song has such pertinence not just in a group setting but in an individual setting where they can become words to live by and Love by and laugh by and cry by because they are lifeand that's what Frankie Beverly and maze has done for us not just at the weddings not just at the family reunions but just in your everyday because we can manifest what the lyrics of those songs spoke on and we're not even going to talk about how much sampling Frankie Beverly and maze probably could go down and sampling history like that of James Brown Chic and the other groups that had been sampled so much and or covered so much. I love like you stated the fact that he was given gardens of flowers in this last year and a half of his life so well deserved so well thought out because the music is going to rein for generations like that of jazz blues and classical music greats
I’m sorry Patty that you have been touched by a grievous loss. You have been speaking of Mr Beverly a lot since last Spring I think regarding his family and group members. ❤❤❤❤
Auntie Patty I’m with you! ❤Frankie Beverly..He was always the headliner at the KBLX summer concert…At work yesterday in the office I played his music 1/2 day to honor him, My Mom died of dementia I also thought it was dementia for Beverly, he will be missed but his music will always live forever ❤me some him!! Favorite songs before I let go, Joy and pain, family, can’t get over you.. just to name a few.
My sincere condolences and prayers to Frankie's family, friends and fans. I love all of Frankie Beverly & Maze music. Just to name some of my top favorite. We Are One...The Look In Your Eyes...Happy Feelings...Before I Let Go and so many of his great songs. R I P Frankie You will be missed, but your great music will forever be in our hearts. ❤😢 17:18

BIG BIG HUGS❤️, AUNTY PATTY❤️!!!
