If I had to guess it would be because of the symbiosis between Jigen and the 10 tails because as we know Jigen used to frequently juice himself up on the 10 tails chakra and it could also be due to the data inside the white karma seal that leaked out onto the shinju prior to melding with Code's claw marks because Boruto told Sarada and Sumire he believes the Shinju gained sentience not from the claw marks but because of the white karma seal Isshiki bestowed onto Code .
