Hi John, Your friend’s boat is a lovely boat indeed, you seem to handle it well out at sea without your fleece mate, could hear the wind howling in the mic and looked a good swell with a bit of rocking. You both had some good catches and we all loose a rig or two which can be quite frustrating but that’s fishing and it happens but at least it never ever spoils a good day out fishing especially with a friend. Great video mate🤝🇬🇧🦞 Thank you
Hey John. Sometimes in your vids i can see a rock mark we fish when on holiday in Cornwall for fresh Mackerel & Sea Bass & it always makes me smile & want to be there instantly (even if the seals spoil the swim & I end up photographing them instead of fishing). Your vids are wicked mate. I watch bugger all tv these days & most films are gash. Your channel just keeps on giving. All the best to you & fam.
Welcome to the Sussex coast. I run a boat out of Newhaven and the sea state you experienced is very common there. With regards to breaking off your line when snagged, I keep 6" lengths of broom handles dotted around the boat, just a few wraps around the line and it gives you a safe and easy way of pulling to break off without cutting into your hands. Good luck with your tour of the UK.

Very informative I just felt a bit bad that you guys didn't do too well but atleast it wasn't a blank and you got a couple nice Pollack. Nice boat I'd love one like that.
My dad has a light collapsible "cabin" mounted on his boat (which is a bit smaller than yours), made of thick plastic foil that goes over a light aluminum frame, somewhat like a small greenhouse. Doesn't look great but it's cheap, light, easy to install (by yourself with basic tools), takes very little space folded down and minimal effort to operate (you can fold it up or down in a couple of minutes). Down here it also doesn't require a permit as it's not considered a permanent modification, they allow even home made contraptions of this sort as long as they don't restrict visibility. Might be an option to improve quality of life on your boat in harsh weather, at least while sailing to and from more distant fishing spots.
Always enjoy your solo videos. But a great idea to show different places and boats. I fish from Ramsgate as it's one of the nearest place to home but want try other places and hope to get idea's from you. Can't bet fishing from Cornwall though
Yes Ken that is what I thought. It also shows different styles and tactics. Different fishing in different areas and as you say other types of boats. 👍🏻
At 10:46 Manic is sitting in the most dangerous position :( Never sit on the edge of the boat as a sudden lurch will have your feet off of the ground and you going over the side backwards !
You are so right about the camera making the sea appear calmer than it is. What about weedless versions of lure to try and avoid getting stuck in the wreckage? Do you think they lose some action compared to hook prominent ones?
For this type of fishing I have just never really taken to weedless hooks. And at the end of the day, what you have confidence in makes a big difference.

Mark and I are both experienced with boats and boating. We were both wearing PFD’s and it was a clear day. Don’t be that guy Steve.
Gotta be in it to win win it... Good stuff
Absolutely.
Is that going to be your new boat John. I think your family might appreciate the comfort.
Haha. No sir. I like my boat.
Good point about colour lines
Just an observation I had.
Well John I had a little giggle on your first comment, I thought you were going to say fishing rods 😀😀
What comment? 🤣
