This is not as hard as it appears. It took me about 1 and half our to take apart, get the solder right and put back together. I am certainly not an expert at this kind of stuff. I took pictures as I took things apart as reference. I was able to test out the drone -- all is well again. Thanks for this helpful video.
Hi, thanks for sharing this info...maybe you can help me. I have the same drone and I'm trying to replace one of the arms, I have removed the same screws you did but the cover is not coming off. Is there something else that's holding it?
At 1:25: "Carefully pry it up" There is no slot to get purchase to pry. I'm stuck ATM. I have fine tweezers similar to those in the video. Cannot grip. Any suggestions?
Nice video, my 2 month old HS720 2K went into a uninitiated, uncontrolled roll from about 35-50 feet and two of the motor arms were broken at the body, don't know what else is damaged.
@@154electrician Not yet. It was just out of the 90 day warranty (daughter gifted it to me for Christmas, so was purchased on Nov 1, 2019 by her) but Holy Stone sent me replacement motors which I have not yet intalled.

Hey so there is 3 black wires - one is longer to indicate that it goes in the upper position - but how do I differ the other red and black wires between eachother?
The palstice that the white piece mounts onto has broken off. Is it worth/ is it possible to try and replace the entire bottom half of the drone? Or os there another option?
Hi Seen, do you mean the bottom cover of the drone? We do have this part in our local warehouse. Please contact our customer suppport via email. Thank you!
@@emorytraylor lol don't buy another one. Get DJI like I did and they are more user friendly to fly. They caution you before liftoff if its too dark or no GPS signal
Unfortunately this video is out of date. HS now coats the solder joints with a white polymer that is totally impervious to a soldering iron. So, look inside your drone before purchasing a replacement arm.
I cut the wires away from the polymer, soldered them and covered with Bondic to insulate. The math in the drone won't let a couple inches of wire unbalance it.
It's a crying shame Holy Stone doesn't have a US based service center or authorized repair facility. The device is replaced if defective but if damaged the customer is left to fix themselves. The new right front arm had to come from China taking 2 weeks to arrive & now I've lost interest in the drone.
Hey yeah they did ask me to send them a pic of the damage. She said it was to confirm that I was getting the correct part. The rep that I've emailed with name is June. I still haven't gotten mine yet. I emailed them again and she said it is on the way. They also provided me tracking. It's coming from China and I live in Michigan. The couple of times I've ordered from there the things took over a month.
The 2 screws on the arm (above the white plastic) can't be removed on my drone, they just screw forever (dont know the correct word for it) So I can't replace my arm fcuking bs. Why are even the cables for the arms are soldered, a simple connector would be much better

I used a box cutter at the same spot he did in the video, kinda like a slicing motion to wedge it up under there, and pry’d it upward.. worked.

Can explain me the exact size of that screws ? I couldn't find the size in internet , Please tell me asap.

Thank you for this video. Great job
to hell with this, just bought another one to save me the stress
I was wondering why do these type of drones lose signals so fast? Ive crashed mines recently and it broke 3 arms.
